How to sell auto parts on Kaspi: TR CU 018/2011 certificate, part numbers and fitment, returns and price with delivery

How to sell auto parts on Kaspi: TR CU 018/2011 certificate, part numbers and fitment, returns and price with delivery

You can sell auto parts on Kaspi.kz without category permission: they're not on the restricted list. The documents come from somewhere else — TR CU 018/2011 on the safety of wheeled vehicles. Brake pads, shock absorbers, filters and headlights are certified under it, while for batteries and spark plugs you can choose a declaration. The most common problem in this niche is a part that "didn't fit", and you solve it with the listing, not by arguing with the buyer. The commission is 12.5% including VAT. Let's go step by step and run the numbers on brake pads and a battery.

In short

  • Kaspi doesn't require permission for «Автотовары» (Auto goods); restricted brands are checked separately.
  • Under Annex 10 of TR CU 018/2011, brake pads, shock absorbers, filters, headlights, timing belts and wheel rims are certified.
  • Batteries, spark plugs and wiper blades can be declared or certified.
  • The listing needs an OEM number and fitment: make, model, years, engine.
  • The commission for «Автотовары» is 10.9% excluding VAT and 12.5% including VAT.

Step 1. Permission and brands

The Kaspi Guide (Kaspi's official help center) has a list of restricted categories: children's goods, pharmacy, sports and tourism, beauty and health, pets, motor vehicles, fireworks, jewelry, leisure and books, vitamins (q2224, updated Oct 5, 2026). Auto parts aren't among them. Note the motor vehicles line: motorcycles, scooters and ATVs need separate permission, and that's not the same thing as parts for passenger cars.

Brands are stricter. If a parts manufacturer is on the restricted brands list, Kaspi will ask for a letter from the rights holder, a contract, waybills and payment for the last 90 days, at least 10 units of the brand (q2618, updated Jul 10, 2026). If you buy through an intermediary, you'll need more letters along the supply chain. How the check works is covered in the article on brand restrictions on Kaspi.

Counterfeits and replicas are banned on Kaspi (q3904, updated Jan 16, 2026). For parts this is especially sensitive: "genuine brake pads" at an aftermarket price will make both the buyer and the rights holder suspicious. Used parts are banned too, even a contract engine in good condition.

Step 2. Certificate or declaration under TR CU 018/2011

TR CU 018/2011 «О безопасности колёсных транспортных средств» (On the safety of wheeled vehicles) also applies to components sold as replacement parts (TR CU 018/2011). Annex 10 states which form of conformity confirmation is needed. The letter "с" in a scheme means certification, "д" means declaration.

Component Schemes in Annex 10 What you get
Brake pads with linings, friction linings 2с, 11с Certificate
Cylinders, calipers and other parts of the hydraulic brake system 2с, 11с Certificate
Shock absorbers and strut assemblies 11с Certificate
Oil filters and diesel fuel filters 10с, 11с Certificate
Headlights, incandescent bulbs for headlights and lamps 10с, 11с Certificate
Timing belts, poly-V and V-belts 11с Certificate
Wheel rims 2с, 11с Certificate
Starter batteries 6д, 11с Declaration or certificate
Spark plugs and glow plugs 6д, 11с Declaration or certificate
Windshield wipers and blades 3д, 11с Declaration or certificate

Under paragraph 81, conformity is confirmed by accredited certification bodies listed in the unified EAEU register. When you get a copy of the certificate, check three things: the component type, the manufacturer and the validity period. A certificate for one factory's brake pads doesn't cover another factory's pads, even if the brand on the box is the same. Keep the scans in one folder: Kaspi and buyers ask for them at the least convenient moment.

Tires fall under this regulation too, but they come with their own story about drop-off points. We covered it in the article on tires on Kaspi.

Who can be the applicant

Paragraph 82 of the regulation says the applicant is the component manufacturer or its authorized representative. If the parts are made outside the EAEU, the applicant can be an importer or a foreign wholesale warehouse that sells the components. That warehouse's purchases from manufacturers must be backed by documents.

What this means for you. If you resell brake pads bought from a Kazakhstani distributor, ask them for a copy of the certificate and check that it lists the right component type. If you import yourself, the document must be ready before you start selling: under paragraph 82 you can act as the applicant as an importer, or the manufacturer can apply through its representative. More on buying abroad in the article on goods from China for Kaspi.

Step 3. The listing: part number and fitment

A parts buyer searches by two things: the part number and their own car. If the listing has neither, the person either leaves or buys at random and then returns it.

What you must include:

  • the OEM number, meaning the part number in the car manufacturer's catalog;
  • the parts manufacturer's own part number;
  • fitment: make, model, model years, engine size and type, body style;
  • side and axle if the part comes in pairs: front or rear, left or right;
  • what's in the box: one pad or a set per axle, whether there's a wear sensor.

Kaspi uses the main specifications to link your product to the right product card, the shared listing all sellers use (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026). Different part numbers are different products, so there's no need to merge them (q5146, updated Jul 23, 2026).

The listing title also works for search. A handy pattern: what the part is, where it goes, the brand and part number, and which car. For example: «Колодки тормозные передние, бренд, артикул, для Toyota Camry 70, 2018–2021» ("Front brake pads, brand, part number, for Toyota Camry 70, 2018–2021"). The buyer sees the essentials right in the search results and doesn't have to open other sellers' listings to work out whether it fits.

A good habit is to ask directly in the description that the buyer check the OEM number against the old part or by VIN before installing. This cuts returns more than any discount. The general process is in the article on how to create a product card on Kaspi, and photographing the markings on a part is covered in the article on product photos for Kaspi.

Step 4. "Didn't fit" returns

A buyer can return a product of proper quality within 14 days if it hasn't been used. If there's a defect, it's 30 days or the manufacturer's warranty period (q2269, updated Sep 21, 2026). The legal basis is Article 30 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «О защите прав потребителей» (On consumer protection).

For parts, the line is drawn at installation. Brake pads in an intact box that turned out to be the wrong size are an ordinary return. Pads with marks from being fitted to a disc are already a used product. So when you accept a return, look for installation marks and check that the packaging is intact, and state in the listing up front how to check fitment. Take phone photos of the part and the box when you accept it: if there's a dispute, a dated photo will be your main argument. And keep a separate note of which part numbers come back more often than others — usually that's a sign the fitment in the listing is wrong.

Kaspi pays for the return shipping, and if the buyer cancels the order after it was handed over to a drop-off point, you don't pay for delivery (q2305, updated Feb 13, 2026). But you still lose time and warehouse space. More in the article on returns on Kaspi for sellers.

Step 5. Delivery: from a filter to a battery

Kaspi Delivery tariffs (q2288, updated Jun 16, 2026), prices excluding VAT:

Order Within the city Within Kazakhstan
3,000–5,000 ₸ 199 ₸ 199 ₸
5,000–10,000 ₸ 699 ₸ 799 ₸
from 10,000 ₸, up to 5 kg 1,099 ₸ 1,299 ₸
from 10,000 ₸, 5–15 kg 1,349 ₸ 1,699 ₸
from 10,000 ₸, 15–30 kg 2,299 ₸ 3,599 ₸

VAT is added when the fee is charged, after the order is «Выдан» ("Issued"). A 3,500 ₸ oil filter pays only 199 ₸, or 231 ₸ with VAT. An 18 kg battery costs 2,299 ₸ within the city and 3,599 ₸ to another city. The delivery gap between a filter and a battery is more than tenfold, and you have to account for it in the price.

Packaging for auto goods is described in the Guide by category. If an item is packed incorrectly, compensation for damage may be refused (q2296, updated Nov 5, 2025). Pack glass, headlights and batteries with particular care. More in the article on packaging for Kaspi Delivery.

Large parts and multiple boxes

A bumper, a hood or a muffler doesn't fit standard limits well. Drop-off points differ in the dimensions and weight they accept, and you can see them on the map by clicking a point (q3047, updated Jan 22, 2026). If an order travels in several boxes, each is packed separately with its own waybill, and you enter the number of parcels in your cabinet (q3043, updated Aug 22, 2024). If you entered one box and brought two, the second may be refused.

Season and installments

Demand for parts changes with the weather. Batteries and wiper blades are searched for more often as it gets cold, air-conditioning parts in the heat. Buy these items in advance rather than at the peak, when the supplier may no longer have the model you need. How to plan for this is covered in the article on seasonality of sales on Kaspi.

12- and 24-month installments aren't banned for auto goods: they're not on Kaspi's list of exceptions (q4659, updated Jun 9, 2026). For a set of rims or expensive suspension parts, this helps the buyer decide.

Commission and calculating the minimum price

Under the 2026 tariffs, the whole «Автотовары» section, including auto parts, is charged 10.9% excluding VAT and 12.5% including VAT (Tariffs 2026, PDF). If an order is cancelled, the commission is refunded (q1344, updated Jan 6, 2026).

A hypothetical example, not a client case. A set of front brake pads at 14,400 ₸, weighing 1.5 kg, purchase cost 8,200 ₸. A battery at 45,000 ₸, weighing 18 kg, purchase cost 33,000 ₸.

Item Pads, city Pads, Kazakhstan Battery, city Battery, Kazakhstan
Price 14,400 ₸ 14,400 ₸ 45,000 ₸ 45,000 ₸
Commission 12.5% incl. VAT 1,800 ₸ 1,800 ₸ 5,625 ₸ 5,625 ₸
Purchase cost 8,200 ₸ 8,200 ₸ 33,000 ₸ 33,000 ₸
Delivery incl. VAT 1,275 ₸ 1,507 ₸ 2,667 ₸ 4,175 ₸
Left 3,125 ₸ 2,893 ₸ 3,708 ₸ 2,200 ₸

Minimum price = (Purchase cost + Delivery + Packaging) ÷ (1 − Commission incl. VAT)

Pads: within the city (8,200 + 1,275) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 10,829 ₸, within Kazakhstan (8,200 + 1,507) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 11,094 ₸. Battery: within the city (33,000 + 2,667) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 40,763 ₸, within Kazakhstan (33,000 + 4,175) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 42,486 ₸.

Look at the battery. It costs three times as much as the pads, yet brings in less when shipped to another city. Intercity delivery quickly eats into a heavy item with a small markup, so set the battery's floor using the "within Kazakhstan" tariff. More on cost price in the article on how not to sell at a loss on Kaspi.

Common mistakes when selling auto parts on Kaspi

  1. No OEM number or fitment. The buyer guesses and returns it.
  2. Brake pads without a certificate. Under Annex 10 of TR CU 018/2011 they're certified.
  3. A distributor's certificate for a different component type. The type in the document must match the product.
  4. A replica sold as genuine. Counterfeits are banned on Kaspi.
  5. Contract and used parts. Used goods can't be sold.
  6. Accepting an installed part as a new return. Look for installation marks.
  7. A minimum price for a heavy item based on the city tariff. A battery shipped to another city ends up in the red.

Frequently asked questions about selling auto parts on Kaspi

Do you need permission to sell auto parts on Kaspi?

Not for the category: parts aren't on the restricted list. You'll be asked for documents if the brand itself is restricted: a letter, a contract and purchases of at least 10 units over the last 90 days.

Do brake pads need a certificate?

Yes. In Annex 10 to TR CU 018/2011, brake pads only have certification schemes, 2с and 11с. A declaration won't do here.

Can you sell batteries with a declaration?

You can. For starter batteries, the regulation allows declaration scheme 6д or certification under 11с. The same goes for spark plugs.

Who obtains the certificate for imported parts?

The manufacturer or its representative. For parts made outside the EAEU, the applicant can be an importer or a foreign wholesale warehouse with documents proving purchases from the manufacturer.

What should a listing say so parts don't get returned?

The OEM number, part number and fitment: make, model, years, engine. For paired parts, the axle and side. And ask the buyer to check the number before installing.

Can a buyer return a part that didn't fit?

If it wasn't installed and the packaging is intact, yes, within 14 days. A part with installation marks already counts as a used product.

How much does it cost to deliver a battery through Kaspi?

An 18 kg battery in an order of 10,000 ₸ or more travels within the city for 2,299 ₸ and to another city for 3,599 ₸. With VAT, that's 2,667 ₸ and 4,175 ₸.

What is Kaspi's commission on auto parts?

12.5% including VAT, 10.9% without it. The rate is the same for the whole «Автотовары» section.
