Sports and tourism on Kaspi.kz is a restricted category: before you list your first dumbbell, you'll need permission. The documents depend on the product. An electric treadmill is certified under two TR CU regulations, protein can't be sold without a state registration certificate (SGR), and a yoga mat goes through most easily. A 75 kg treadmill travels to another city for 9,917 ₸ including VAT. The commission for the whole section is 12.5% including VAT. Step by step below.
In short
- The «спорт, туризм» (sports, tourism) category requires permission: a contract, an EAC certificate or declaration and an SGR where the law requires them, a waybill, payment.

Step 1. Category permission
In the Kaspi Guide (Kaspi's official help center), sports and tourism share a line with children's goods and pharmacy (q2224, updated Oct 5, 2026). The permission form appears in your cabinet when you add a product from a restricted category. The documents are:

In the Guide, the certificate and the SGR carry an asterisk: "in cases provided for by law". In practice this means a jump rope and a treadmill need different sets of documents, and Kaspi expects the set that applies to your specific product. Documents may be requested again, and fake paperwork can lead to being disconnected from the Store.
If the brand is on the restricted list, there's also a brand check: a letter from the rights holder, a contract, waybills and payment for the last 90 days, at least 10 units (q2618, updated Jul 10, 2026). More in the article on brand restrictions on Kaspi.
Step 2. Which documents for which product
Sporting goods are a very mixed category, so let's break it down by group.

Electric exercise machines
TR CU 004/2011 «О безопасности низковольтного оборудования» (On the safety of low-voltage equipment) covers equipment rated from 50 to 1000 V AC (TR CU 004/2011). In the annex listing what gets certified, «игровое, спортивное и тренажёрное оборудование» (play, sports and exercise equipment) has its own line. TR CU 020/2011 on electromagnetic compatibility has the same line in Annex 3 (TR CU 020/2011). So a treadmill with a motor needs a certificate; a declaration isn't enough.
Under Article 5 of TR CU 004/2011, labeling and instructions must be in Russian and in the state language of the country of sale, which for Kazakhstan is Kazakh. Sports nutrition
Article 24 of TR CU 021/2011 «О безопасности пищевой продукции» (On food safety) calls «пищевая продукция для питания спортсменов» (food products for athletes) specialized (TR CU 021/2011). Such products can be sold only after state registration. Imports are registered before they enter the country, and the registration has no expiry. In Kaspi's tariffs, sports nutrition sits in «Спорт, туризм → Спортивное питание» (Sports, tourism → Sports nutrition) and is charged at the same rate as the rest of the section.

Used equipment
Used goods are banned on Kaspi entirely (q3904, updated Jan 16, 2026). A machine from a trade show, or one returned without its box, can't be sold as new. Counterfeits are banned too: you can't list replicas of well-known sports brands on Kaspi.
Step 3. The sporting goods listing
A buyer of an exercise machine looks at the numbers: maximum user weight, motor power, speed, belt size, folded dimensions. For dumbbells, weight and material; for clothing and footwear, a size chart. If a spec is in the category filter and yours is blank, the product drops out of the filtered results (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026).
Sizes and colors of one model are merged into one product card (the shared listing all sellers use), but different dumbbell weights or different treadmill models are better kept separate (q5146, updated Jul 23, 2026). How to do this in the cabinet is described in the Guide (q3146).

Camping gear
Tents, sleeping bags, stoves and backpacks also belong to the restricted «спорт, туризм» category, so they need permission too. On a tent listing, buyers look for the number of berths, packed weight, flysheet water resistance and pitching time; on a sleeping bag, the comfort temperature and size. Take all of this from the product's data sheet, not from a competitor's description: if a number on the card doesn't match the tag, that's a direct route to a return and a bad review.
Step 4. Shipping heavy machines
For orders of 10,000 ₸ or more, Kaspi Delivery tariffs depend on weight (q2288, updated Jun 16, 2026). Prices exclude VAT.

Orders under 10,000 ₸ are charged by value: from 5,000 to 10,000 ₸ it's 699 ₸ within the city and 799 ₸ within Kazakhstan. VAT is added when the fee is charged, and fees are charged only for issued orders.
A machine in several boxes
A power rack or a multi-station gym often travels in two or three boxes. Each part is packed separately with its own waybill. In the cabinet, under «Упаковка» ("Packaging"), you enter the number of parcels, and Kaspi generates the same number of waybills (q3043, updated Aug 22, 2024). If you entered one box and brought two, the second one may be refused.
Drop-off points differ in the dimensions and weight they accept. Before listing a heavy machine, check on the map which point will take it (q3047, updated Jan 22, 2026).
Damage
A claim against Kaspi Delivery is filed within 10 calendar days within the city and 45 within Kazakhstan, or within 24 hours if there's no note in the return certificate (q2306, updated Nov 25, 2025). You need dated photos or video. If the packaging is incorrect, compensation may be refused (q2296, updated Nov 5, 2025). Step 5. Returns, warranty and installments
A buyer is entitled to return a working product with no signs of use within 14 days. Defects have different deadlines: 30 days, or the manufacturer's warranty period if one is set (q2269, updated Sep 21, 2026). The legal basis is Article 30 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «О защите прав потребителей» (On consumer protection). A treadmill motor may carry a long warranty, and a defect return is possible for that whole time.
The practical takeaway: before you buy, agree with the supplier who repairs the machine and where it goes. Returning a treadmill from another city also means hauling 75 kg back. 12- and 24-month installments are available for sporting goods: sports aren't on Kaspi's list of exceptions (q4659, updated Jun 9, 2026). Commission and calculating the minimum price
Under the 2026 tariffs, all «Спорт, туризм» subcategories — exercise machines, cycling, tennis, sports nutrition and the rest — are charged 10.9% excluding VAT and 12.5% including VAT (Tariffs 2026, PDF). If an order is cancelled, the commission is refunded (q1344, updated Jan 6, 2026).
A hypothetical example, not a client case. A treadmill at 250,000 ₸, 75 kg packed, purchase cost 185,000 ₸, shipped in the factory box. Alongside it, a 7,200 ₸ yoga mat with a purchase cost of 3,900 ₸.

Minimum price = (Purchase cost + Delivery + Packaging) ÷ (1 − Commission incl. VAT)
For the treadmill within the city: (185,000 + 4,813) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 216,929 ₸. Within Kazakhstan: (185,000 + 9,917) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 222,763 ₸. That's a difference of almost 6,000 ₸ per unit. If you sell nationwide, set the floor using the intercity tariff.

- Buying stock before permission. The batch waits while Kaspi checks the documents.
- A declaration for a treadmill. Electric exercise machines are on the certification lists.
- Protein without an SGR, or with an SGR for another flavor. Sports nutrition is sold only after state registration.
- A manual without Kazakh. The regulation requires both languages.
- One parcel for two boxes. The second box may be refused.
- A minimum price based on the city tariff. A heavy order to another city ends up in the red.
- A display model sold as new. Used goods are banned on Kaspi.
