Tyres on Kaspi.kz aren't a closed category: they're not on the list of restricted categories in the Kaspi Guide, and you don't need separate permission for the section. But it won't be easy. Every model is certified under TR CU 018/2011, Kaspi Delivery has its own tariff for tyres, and you can't drop wheels off at just any drop-off point. The commission for the «Шины» (Tyres) section is 10.9% excluding VAT. Below: what to check with your supplier, how to build a card with sizes and how to price a set of four wheels.
In short
- Kaspi doesn't require separate permission for tyres, but restricted brands are checked under the general rules.
- Under TR CU 018/2011, pneumatic tyres are certified under scheme 1c or 2c.
- Kaspi Delivery has its own tyre tariff: a car tyre up to 25 kg costs 1,049 ₸ within the city, a truck tyre 4,199 ₸ (excluding VAT).
- Tyres are accepted only at drop-off points with no size or weight limits.
- The commission on car, truck and motorcycle tyres and tyre sets is 10.9% excluding VAT and 12.5% including VAT.
Step 1. Do you need permission for tyres
The Kaspi Guide has a list of categories that need permission: children's products, pharmacy, cosmetics, pet products, jewellery, motor vehicles and a few more (q2224, updated Oct 5, 2026). Tyres and car products aren't there. So you can list tyres straight after creating the card.
But brands are restricted separately from categories. If a tyre brand is on the restricted list, Kaspi will ask for documents: at least 10 units of that brand and purchase papers no older than 90 days (q2618, updated Jul 10, 2026). A purchase on the brand's official website also counts if the receipts are no older than 60 days and made out to the head of the company. What such an application looks like is described in our article on brand restrictions on Kaspi.
Step 2. The certificate: what TR CU 018/2011 requires
A tyre is a vehicle component, and its safety is governed by TR CU 018/2011 «On the safety of wheeled vehicles» (TR CU 018/2011). Annex 10 to the regulation sets out the form and scheme of conformity assessment for each component.
| Tyre type | Form of assessment | UNECE Regulations |
|---|---|---|
| Passenger cars and their trailers | Certification, scheme 1c or 2c | 30-02, 117-01 or 117-02 |
| Light commercial and heavy trucks, buses, trolleybuses | Certification, scheme 1c or 2c | 54-00, 117-01 or 117-02 |
| Motorcycles, scooters, quadricycles, mopeds | Certification | listed in Annex 10 |
| Temporary-use spare wheels, retreaded tyres | Certification | listed in Annex 10 |
The regulation doesn't provide for a declaration for tyres. If your supplier sends a declaration, check exactly what it was issued for: it may not cover the tyres in your warehouse.
Studs
For winter studded tyres, Annex 10 gives specific numbers. The tyre must be designed for studs, and the manufacturer must recommend suitable ones. On car tyres, the stud protrudes 1.2 mm above the tread with a tolerance of +0.3 mm. There can be no more than 60 studs per linear metre of tread if the tyre was made after January 1, 2016. More studs are allowed only if an accredited laboratory confirms that such a tyre doesn't wear the road harder. For a seller, the takeaway is simple: state in the attributes that the tyre is studded, and keep the certificate for that specific model at hand.
What to ask the supplier before you buy
Before taking a batch, ask the supplier for a copy of the certificate and look at three things. First: who the applicant is and who the manufacturer is. Second: which models and sizes are listed, because a certificate may cover only part of the range. Third: the validity period. If a size isn't in the certificate and you've listed it, you're the one answerable, not the supplier.
You can check a certificate in the EAEU register of issued documents. It takes five minutes and buys peace of mind for the whole season. And keep a copy yourself: if Kaspi or a buyer asks for documents, there won't be time to dig through your chats with the supplier.
Code marking
As of Oct 28, 2026, tyres aren't on Kazakhstan's list of goods subject to marking with identification means (list of marked goods, adilet). The list gets extended from time to time, so check it before a big purchase. How marking works in other categories is covered in our article on product marking for Kaspi.
Step 3. The card: sizes, season, set
Tyre buyers search by size (width, profile, diameter) and by season. All of this should be in the card's attributes, not only in the title.
You can save yourself work with variants. Kaspi merges products into one card if their brand, category and main attributes match (q5146, updated Jul 23, 2026). You can request a merge from the Kaspi Pay app or the web account (q3146).
Main attributes can't be changed once the card is more than a month old (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026). Mixed up R16 and R17? Fix it in the first weeks; after that, only a new card.
About photos. Buyers want to see the tread and the sidewall where the size is readable, not just a catalogue render. Shoot the tyre so the sidewall marking is legible, and add a photo of the set if you sell four. How to photograph products for a card is covered in our article on product photos for Kaspi.
A separate question is whether you sell single tyres or sets. In Kaspi's tariffs, «Комплекты шин» (Tyre sets) is a separate subcategory next to «Шины для легковых и внедорожных автомобилей» (Car and SUV tyres) (Tariffs 2026, PDF). If the card is for one tyre but the buyer thinks they're getting a set for the same price, you'll get a cancellation and a bad review. Write it plainly in the title and description: «price per 1 tyre». More on cards in our article on how to create a product card on Kaspi.
Step 4. Delivery: its own tariff and its own drop-off points
Kaspi Delivery has a separate tariff line for tyres (q2288, updated Jun 16, 2026). Prices exclude VAT.
| Tyres | Within the city | Within Kazakhstan | Express |
|---|---|---|---|
| Car (up to 25 kg per wheel) | 1,049 ₸ | 1,649 ₸ | 1,349 ₸ |
| Truck (over 25 kg per wheel) | 4,199 ₸ | 6,049 ₸ | 5,749 ₸ |
Is that a lot? A regular order of 10,000 ₸ or more weighing 15–30 kg costs 2,299 ₸ within the city, so the tyre line is more than twice as cheap. By the way, the money is charged with VAT and only once the order becomes «Выдан» (Delivered). Cancelled? You pay nothing.
Now here's the nuance. Is the tariff charged per order or per wheel? The Guide doesn't say directly. The phrase «up to 25 kg per wheel» only tells you which line to use, car or truck. So below we calculate both options.
The easiest way to check is on your very first order. Open Kaspi Pay, then Магазин на Kaspi.kz → Заказы → Архив (Store → Orders → Archive), find a delivered set and see how much was charged for delivery. One amount or four? Then recalculate the minimum price from the actual figure and stop guessing.
You can't drop tyres off at just any point. Goods in the «Шины» category are accepted only at points with no size or weight limits (q3047, updated Jan 22, 2026). A point's limits are visible on the map when you tap its red dot. An order placed before 12:00 is handed over between 10:00 and 16:00; after 12:00, until 20:00.
A set of four wheels is four parcels. Each parcel is packed separately with its own waybill, and in the account you put 4 in the «Количество мест» (Number of parcels) field (q3043, updated Aug 22, 2024). If you entered one parcel and bring four wheels, the extra ones may be refused. More on packaging in our article on packaging for Kaspi Delivery.
Commission and calculating the minimum price
In the 2026 tariffs, all «Шины» subcategories (car and SUV, truck, commercial, motorcycle tyres, sets, inner tubes and rim tapes) go at 10.9% excluding VAT and 12.5% including VAT (Tariffs 2026, PDF). If an order is cancelled, the commission is refunded (q1344, updated Jan 6, 2026).
Let's do the numbers. A hypothetical example, not a client case. Take an R16 car tyre: purchase cost 25,000 ₸ each, you sell at 32,000 ₸, the buyer takes four. Delivery within the city is 1,049 ₸, which is 1,217 ₸ with 16% VAT. We'll skip packaging for now and let the wheels travel in the supplier's film.
| Item | Tariff per order | Tariff per wheel |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue from 4 tyres | 128,000 ₸ | 128,000 ₸ |
| Commission 12.5% incl. VAT | 16,000 ₸ | 16,000 ₸ |
| Purchase of 4 tyres | 100,000 ₸ | 100,000 ₸ |
| City delivery incl. VAT | 1,217 ₸ | 4,868 ₸ |
| Left from the sale | 10,783 ₸ | 7,132 ₸ |
Minimum price per tyre = (Purchase cost + Delivery per wheel) ÷ (1 − Commission incl. VAT)
If you pay per wheel, it comes to (25,000 + 1,217) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 29,963 ₸ per tyre. If you pay per order, about 304 ₸ falls on each wheel, and the floor drops to roughly 28,920 ₸. That's a difference of over a thousand per tyre. Until you've checked the archive, stick to the first figure; it's safer.
And if the buyer is in another city? The Kazakhstan-wide tariff is 1,649 ₸, or 1,913 ₸ with VAT. With per-wheel charging, you keep only 4,348 ₸ from the set, and that's before taxes and warehouse rent. Such orders are better calculated separately.
One more thing: the season. Kaspi doesn't publish when demand for winter and summer tyres peaks, but in the same weeks before the tyre change lots of sellers enter the market and the price on the card jumps. How to prepare for that is described in our article on seasonality of sales on Kaspi. On cost price in general, see our article on how not to sell at a loss on Kaspi.
Common mistakes when selling tyres on Kaspi
- A declaration instead of a certificate. Under Annex 10 to TR CU 018/2011, pneumatic tyres are certified.
- Dropping off at a regular point. Tyres are accepted only where there are no size or weight limits.
- One parcel for a set. Four wheels means four parcels and four waybills.
- No «price per 1 tyre». The buyer thinks they're getting a set and cancels the order.
- Calculating with the per-order tariff without checking. Until you've seen the actual charge, calculate with the per-wheel tariff.
- A size error in the first month. After a month, main attributes can't be changed.

How to automate prices and avoid selling at a loss
During the tyre-change season, dozens of stores sell the same popular model, and the price on the card changes many times a day. The SaleScout Kaspi bot checks prices every 20 seconds, keeps you at the top of the product card and never goes below the minimum price you set. Frequently asked questions about selling tyres on Kaspi
Do I need permission to sell tyres on Kaspi?
No, tyres aren't on Kaspi's list of restricted categories, so you can start right away. There's one exception: if the brand itself is restricted. Then you'll be asked for documents for the brand, meaning a purchase of at least 10 units and papers no older than 90 days.
Do tyres need a certificate?
Yes. Under Annex 10 to TR CU 018/2011, pneumatic tyres for cars, trucks, motorcycles and trailers are certified under scheme 1c or 2c.
How much does Kaspi Delivery charge for tyres?
It depends on the tyres. A car tyre up to 25 kg costs 1,049 ₸ within the city and 1,649 ₸ within Kazakhstan, and Express costs 1,349 ₸. Truck tyres over 25 kg cost more: 4,199 ₸, 6,049 ₸ and 5,749 ₸. All amounts exclude VAT, which is added when you're charged.
Where do I drop off tyres for Kaspi Delivery?
Only at drop-off points with no size or weight limits. A point's limits are visible on the map in your account when you tap its marker.
How do I ship a set of four tyres?
Each wheel is packed separately with its own waybill. In the «Упаковка» (Packaging) section, enter 4 in the «Количество мест» field.
What is Kaspi's commission on tyres?
This one's simple: 10.9% excluding VAT, which comes to 12.5% with VAT. The rate is the same for car, truck and motorcycle tyres and sets, so the maths is easier than in electronics.
Do tyres need marking in Kazakhstan?
Not yet. As of Oct 28, 2026, tyres don't appear on Kazakhstan's list of marked goods. But the list gets expanded from time to time, so take another look before a large delivery.
Why didn't the drop-off point accept my tyres?
Most likely you went to a point with size and weight limits, and tyres are accepted only where there aren't any. Open the map, tap the point's red dot and check its limits. Another common reason: you missed the drop-off window, in which case bring them the next day.
