How to sell vitamins and dietary supplements on Kaspi: permission, SGR under TR CU 021/2011, commission and delivery of cheap orders

How to sell vitamins and dietary supplements on Kaspi: permission, SGR under TR CU 021/2011, commission and delivery of cheap orders

You can't list vitamins and dietary supplements on Kaspi.kz without permission: the «Витамины и БАДы» (Vitamins and supplements) section is on the list of restricted categories. The key document is the state registration certificate (SGR). Under TR CU 021/2011, a dietary supplement can't be sold at all until it's registered. The commission is 12.5% including VAT, while vitamin drugs in the «Лекарства» (Medicines) section are charged 7.3%, and the two aren't the same thing. A 6,400 ₸ jar and two jars in one order get different delivery costs. Let's go step by step.

In short

  • «Витамины и БАДы» requires Kaspi permission: a supply contract, the SGR, a waybill and payment documents.
  • Under Article 24 of TR CU 021/2011, supplements are sold only after state registration, and the registration has no expiry.
  • «Аптека → Витамины и БАД» (Pharmacy → Vitamins and supplements) is 10.9% excluding VAT and 12.5% including VAT; «Лекарства → Витаминные препараты» (Medicines → Vitamin drugs) is 6.4% and 7.3%.
  • An order from 5,000 to 10,000 ₸ costs 699 ₸ for city delivery excluding VAT; from 3,000 to 5,000 ₸ it's 199 ₸.
  • Two jars in one order usually pay better than two separate orders.

Step 1. Category permission

The Kaspi Guide (Kaspi's official help center) has a list of restricted categories (q2224, updated Oct 5, 2026). «Витамины и БАДы» has its own line there. For permission, Kaspi asks for:

  • a supply contract with your supplier;
  • a state registration certificate (SGR), if the law requires one;
  • an EAC certificate or declaration, if the law requires one;
  • a waybill for the goods;
  • payment documents.

You apply from the seller cabinet: the form appears when you add a product from a restricted category. Until you have permission, you can't create listings in this section. Kaspi may ask for the documents again, and fake paperwork can get you disconnected from the Store, so keep the scans in one folder and update them with every new delivery. If the brand is also on the list of restricted brands, there's a separate check: a letter from the official supplier, documents for the last 90 days and a purchase of at least 10 units (q2618, updated Jul 10, 2026). Details are in the article on brand restrictions on Kaspi.

Step 2. SGR under TR CU 021/2011

TR CU 021/2011 «О безопасности пищевой продукции» (On food safety) has applied since Jul 1, 2013 (TR CU 021/2011). Article 4 defines a dietary supplement as natural or nature-identical biologically active substances and probiotic microorganisms taken with food or added to it. So legally it's a food product, not a medicine.

Article 24 classes supplements as specialized food products, together with baby food, sports nutrition and products for pregnant women. Here's what that means for a seller:

Article 24 rule What it means on Kaspi
Specialized products are subject to state registration (part 1) No SGR, no category permission
Sale is allowed only after registration (part 2) A jar without an SGR can't be sold even "as a test"
Imported products are registered before import (part 3) The certificate must exist before the batch crosses the border
Registration has no expiry (part 5) An old SGR doesn't "expire", but it must be for this exact product

Data on registered products goes into a unified register, maintained as described in Article 26. Before you buy, check the SGR number against the register and the label: the name, manufacturer and dosage form must match. If the supplier shows you an SGR for a "similar complex", better not take the risk.

One more detail. Annex 7 to the regulation lists plants, substances and microorganisms that can't be used in supplements. If you're buying a little-known supplement from abroad, check the ingredients against this list before paying.

Step 3. Supplement or vitamin drug

In Kaspi's 2026 tariffs, vitamins appear in two places (Tariffs 2026, PDF):

Section Excl. VAT Incl. VAT
Аптека → Витамины и БАД → Твёрдые витамины и бад (solid vitamins and supplements) 10.9% 12.5%
Аптека → Витамины и БАД → Жидкие и сыпучие витамины и бад (liquid and powder vitamins and supplements) 10.9% 12.5%
Аптека → Лекарства → Витаминные препараты (vitamin drugs) 6.4% 7.3%

The temptation is obvious: put vitamin D under «Лекарства» and pay less. But the section is determined by how the product is registered. If the product has an SGR as a supplement, it belongs in «Витамины и БАД». A product with a medicinal registration certificate is a medicine, and selling medicines has its own rules that are outside the scope of this article. The wrong category is a common reason a listing gets rejected.

Protein and sports nutrition

Protein, gainers and isotonic drinks often sit on the same shelf as vitamins. But in Kaspi's tariffs they're not under «Аптека»; they're under «Спорт, туризм → Спортивное питание» (Sports, tourism → Sports nutrition). The commission is the same, 12.5% including VAT. The permission, however, is different: for the «Детские товары, аптека, спорт, туризм» (Children's goods, pharmacy, sports, tourism) category. The documents are similar — a contract, an EAC certificate or declaration and an SGR where the law requires them, a waybill, payment.

Protein can't be sold without an SGR either. The same Article 24 explicitly lists «пищевая продукция для питания спортсменов» (food products for athletes) among specialized products. So ask the supplier about the certificate first, before you even discuss the batch price. If the supplier stalls or sends a document for a different flavor and a different pack size, that's your answer.

Step 4. The vitamin listing

Supplement buyers read the label more carefully than in any other category. The listing should show the same things as the jar:

  • full name and manufacturer;
  • form: capsules, tablets, powder, liquid;
  • quantity per pack and the dose of the active ingredient per serving;
  • ingredients, including excipients;
  • directions for use and contraindications from the label;
  • shelf life and storage conditions.

Different doses and sizes are different products, and it's better not to merge them into one product card (the shared listing all sellers use) (q5146, updated Jul 23, 2026). Flavors of the same powder usually go as variants of one card. The main specifications help Kaspi find the right card for your product (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026).

Build the description around ingredients and dosage. Promises to cure anything contradict the very nature of a supplement as a food product and raise questions from moderation and buyers. Take a separate photo of the label with the ingredients: it removes half the questions in reviews. How to shoot it is in the article on product photos for Kaspi.

Shelf life

Kaspi doesn't sell the goods for you; the stock sits in your warehouse. It's better not to buy jars with a short shelf life in large batches: buyers see the date and write a review. If a product arrives expired, it's a product of improper quality, and the buyer has 30 days to return it (q2269, updated Sep 21, 2026).

An opened jar is trickier. Without a defect, a buyer returns goods within 14 days if they haven't been used. A jar with a torn safety seal no longer fits that description, so check at the warehouse whether the seal is intact before accepting a return. More on the process in the article on returns on Kaspi for sellers.

Storage and shipping

The label almost always states storage conditions: temperature, protection from moisture and sunlight. Probiotics and liquid forms can be more sensitive than tablets. While the goods are with you, you're responsible for those conditions, so don't keep boxes next to a radiator or on a balcony. In winter, an order across Kazakhstan may spend a long time in the cold; in summer, in the heat. For sensitive forms, add a sturdy bubble-wrap bag to the box and don't pack a jar together with heavy items. Check every jar for an intact seal before shipping: a buyer who receives an opened pack will almost certainly file a return.

Step 5. Delivering cheap orders

Many jars cost under 10,000 ₸, and for such orders Kaspi Delivery charges by order value, not weight (q2288, updated Jun 16, 2026). Prices exclude VAT.

Order value Within the city Within Kazakhstan
up to 1,000 ₸ 49 ₸ 49 ₸
1,000–3,000 ₸ 149 ₸ 149 ₸
3,000–5,000 ₸ 199 ₸ 199 ₸
5,000–10,000 ₸ 699 ₸ 799 ₸
from 10,000 ₸, up to 5 kg 1,099 ₸ 1,299 ₸

VAT is added when the fee is charged, after the order is «Выдан» ("Issued"). You can see where the jump is: at the 5,000 ₸ line, delivery goes from 199 ₸ to 699 ₸.

One jar or two

A hypothetical example, not a client case. Vitamin D, 60 capsules, price 6,400 ₸, purchase cost 3,300 ₸. The jar weighs less than a kilogram.

Item 1 jar, city 1 jar, Kazakhstan 2 jars in one order, city
Order price 6,400 ₸ 6,400 ₸ 12,800 ₸
Commission 12.5% incl. VAT 800 ₸ 800 ₸ 1,600 ₸
Purchase cost 3,300 ₸ 3,300 ₸ 6,600 ₸
Delivery incl. VAT 811 ₸ 927 ₸ 1,275 ₸
Left 1,489 ₸ 1,373 ₸ 3,325 ₸

Two separate sales within the city would bring 2,978 ₸, while one order for two jars brings 3,325 ₸. That's why "2 jars" or "3-month course" bundles make sense in this niche: delivery is paid once per order.

Commission and calculating the minimum price

The commission for «Витамины и БАД» is 10.9% excluding VAT and 12.5% including VAT. If an order is cancelled, the commission is refunded (q1344, updated Jan 6, 2026).

Minimum price = (Purchase cost + Delivery + Packaging) ÷ (1 − Commission incl. VAT)

Packaging in our example is a bag, which we ignore. Plugging in 811 ₸ for delivery gives (3,300 + 811) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 4,699 ₸. But that price is already under 5,000 ₸, and delivery for it is different — 199 ₸, or 231 ₸ with VAT. Recalculate: (3,300 + 231) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 4,036 ₸.

Hence the rule for cheap goods: first calculate the minimum price, then check which tariff bracket it falls into, and if the bracket is different, calculate again. Otherwise your floor ends up higher than it needs to be, and you give up the card for no reason. The general calculation is in the article on how not to sell at a loss on Kaspi.

12- and 24-month installments aren't banned for vitamins: Kaspi's exceptions list includes some pharmacy goods, but vitamins and supplements aren't on it (q4659, updated Jun 9, 2026). For a 6,000 ₸ jar this changes little, but it can help with expensive courses.

Common mistakes when selling vitamins and supplements on Kaspi

  1. Buying stock before permission. The batch sits while Kaspi checks the documents.
  2. An SGR for the wrong product. The name, manufacturer and form on the certificate must match the label.
  3. A supplement in the «Лекарства» section. The category depends on registration, not on wanting to pay less.
  4. Medical promises in the description. A supplement is a food product.
  5. Different doses in one card. Buyers get confused, and reviews suffer.
  6. A minimum price without rechecking the bracket. On cheap goods, the delivery tariff changes along with the price.
  7. A large batch with a short shelf life. Expired goods come back as defective.
