Kaspi Delivery (Kaspi's delivery service for marketplace orders) costs sellers from 49 to 11,999 ₸ excluding VAT per order, depending on order value, weight and route, and it is charged with 16% VAT only for delivered orders. The most common case is an order from 10,000 ₸, up to 5 kg, within the city: 1,099 ₸ in the table, 1,275 ₸ in your statement. Money leaks not so much through the rate itself as through its steps. Because of them, an item at 10,300 ₸ can bring you less than the same item at 9,990 ₸.
In short
- A cancellation costs nothing. A return after delivery costs you: the outbound delivery remains your expense; Kaspi only carries the item back for free.
- Around 5,000 ₸ and at 10,000 ₸, the rate jumps. With the fee and tax, prices of roughly 5,000 to 5,680 ₸ and 10,000 to 10,540 ₸ bring in less than a price just below the threshold.
- Weight changes the rate at 5, 15 and 30 kg. Crossing 5 kg across Kazakhstan costs 464 ₸ including VAT on every order; crossing 15 kg within the city costs 1,102 ₸.
- Frequent delays in handing orders over to the Kaspi acceptance point are punished not with a fine, but with time: delivery on all your orders may become one to three days longer, and the customer will see that in the product card.
- Your own city courier pays off only at hundreds of orders per month. The break-even formula is below; calculate it using your own salary and fuel costs.
How Kaspi Delivery works and what you pay for
Kaspi's flow is short: the customer places an order, you pack the item and hand it over at a Kaspi acceptance point, receive an electronic act, and then the courier service delivers the order to the customer — to an address or to a Kaspi Postomat (Kaspi Guide, q2287, updated Feb 25, 2026). Kaspi takes responsibility for the item from the moment it is handed over at the acceptance point (q1348).
Payment works like this (q2312, q2305, updated Feb 13, 2026):
- money is withheld automatically from each delivered order;
- if the customer cancels the order, even after you have handed it over at the acceptance point, you do not pay for delivery;
- if the customer receives the item and then makes a return, you pay the full cost of outbound delivery, while Kaspi pays for the return trip to the acceptance point.
The third point is easy to miss when reading a report: on the day of the return, the fee comes back to your account (q1347), and it feels as if everything was refunded. Delivery was not refunded and will not be refunded.
Average delivery times are: within the city — 1 day from handover; to regional cities — two to three days; to district centers — 5–6 days (q2291). The exact delivery time is determined by the courier; you cannot find it out — Kaspi advises sending the customer to the Kaspi Guide chat (q3866).
2026 rates including VAT: the full grid
The Kaspi Guide shows figures excluding VAT (q2288, rates from January 1, 2026, updated Jun 16, 2026), while the amount debited from your account includes 16% VAT (Article 503 of the Tax Code of Kazakhstan). Below is the grid for orders from 10,000 ₸, shown both ways, rounded to the tenge. The cheaper steps below 10,000 ₸ are covered in the article how not to sell at a loss; we won't repeat them here.
| Order weight from 10,000 ₸ | City, excl. VAT → incl. VAT | Kazakhstan, excl. VAT → incl. VAT | Express, excl. VAT → incl. VAT |
|---|---|---|---|
| up to 5 kg | 1,099 → 1,275 ₸ | 1,299 → 1,507 ₸ | 1,699 → 1,971 ₸ |
| 5–15 kg | 1,349 → 1,565 ₸ | 1,699 → 1,971 ₸ | 1,849 → 2,145 ₸ |
| 15–30 kg | 2,299 → 2,667 ₸ | 3,599 → 4,175 ₸ | 3,149 → 3,653 ₸ |
| 30–60 kg | 2,899 → 3,363 ₸ | 5,649 → 6,553 ₸ | 3,599 → 4,175 ₸ |
| 60–100 kg | 4,149 → 4,813 ₸ | 8,549 → 9,917 ₸ | 5,599 → 6,495 ₸ |
| over 100 kg | 6,449 → 7,481 ₸ | 11,999 → 13,919 ₸ | 8,449 → 9,801 ₸ |
As long as the order is cheaper than 10,000 ₸, Kaspi does not look at weight. After that it does: a six-kilogram frying pan for 12,000 ₸ goes within the city at 1,349 ₸ excluding VAT, while a light phone case at the same price goes at 1,099 ₸. Tires have their own line: a passenger-car wheel up to 25 kg within the city is 1,049 ₸ excluding VAT.
Also, the amount is calculated per order. A person puts two cases at 6,000 ₸ each into the cart — the order becomes 12,000 ₸, and you pay 1,275 ₸ instead of 811 ₸. This most often shows up on bundles and "second item" offers.
Price dead zones: where selling for more earns less
When the rate jumps from 199 ₸ to 699 ₸, or from 699 ₸ to 1,099 ₸, a price range appears near the threshold where you earn less than you would just below the threshold. Let's calculate it on a hypothetical example, not a client case: a category with a 12.5% fee including VAT, an individual entrepreneur on the simplified regime in Almaty at a 3% rate (BES.media), and delivery within the city. Purchase cost is not part of the calculation: when comparing two prices for the same product, it is the same.
| Price in card | Delivery incl. VAT | Delivery as share of price | Left after fee, tax and delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4,990 ₸ | 231 ₸ | 4.6% | 3,986 ₸ |
| 5,000 ₸ | 811 ₸ | 16.2% | 3,414 ₸ |
| 5,680 ₸ | 811 ₸ | 14.3% | 3,989 ₸ |
| 9,990 ₸ | 811 ₸ | 8.1% | 7,631 ₸ |
| 10,000 ₸ | 1,275 ₸ | 12.8% | 7,175 ₸ |
| 10,540 ₸ | 1,275 ₸ | 12.1% | 7,631 ₸ |
The formula for the dead-zone boundary:
Price from which being above the threshold becomes profitable again = (Price below threshold × k − Delivery below threshold + Delivery above threshold) ÷ k, where k = 1 − fee − tax.
In our example, k = 1 − 0.125 − 0.03 = 0.845. For the 10,000 ₸ threshold: (9,990 × 0.845 − 811 + 1,275) ÷ 0.845 ≈ 10,539 ₸. For the threshold around 5,000 ₸, the result is ≈ 5,676 ₸.
The practical takeaway is this. If a competitor in the card is at 10,200 ₸, undercutting them at 10,199 ₸ only makes sense if you're ready to receive less per order than you would at 9,990 ₸. Sometimes it is more honest to stand at 9,990 ₸ and take the top with a price that is also better for you. Sometimes, on the contrary, it is better to stay at 10,600 ₸ and not enter the zone. Kaspi's table does not specify how it assigns the exact boundary price of 5,000 ₸ to a step, so check boundary prices by the actual debit.
Weight and dimensions: steps that are invisible in the card
Take a product that weighs 5.2 kg in the box. Within the city, it costs 290 ₸ more including VAT than the same product at 4.8 kg; across Kazakhstan, 464 ₸ more. After 15 kg, the step is even steeper: 1,102 ₸ within the city and 2,204 ₸ to regions. Sometimes the extra layer of bubble wrap and heavy cardboard is exactly those two hundred grams.
Just don't confuse saving on packaging with understating weight. Kaspi's rules directly prohibit declaring, at delivery handover, weight, volume and dimensions that do not match what is reasonably expected for that product, and prohibit discrepancies between the actual shipment parameters and the product card (working rules, clause 1.11, updated Sep 30, 2026). Measures for violating the rules go all the way up to termination of cooperation.
Postomats have their own story: locker size. The largest one, L, is 296 × 438 × 452 mm (q2915); if it doesn't fit, the courier calls the customer and delivers by hand. XS and S lockers are low, just 94 mm; M is 196 mm. If there is no suitable free locker and this customer has no other orders in the postomat either, delivery is moved to the next day; according to Kaspi, this does not affect the seller's rating (q2916).
Returns and claims: what each return costs
The cost of a return
What you lose on one return of a delivered order: the paid outbound delivery and, most likely, the packaging. The fee comes back; the return trip is paid by Kaspi. Let's calculate a hypothetical example that is not a client case: a 15,000 ₸ item came back intact, delivery was 1,275 ₸, and the box with a seal was 150 ₸. Total: 1,425 ₸ per return, and this is the best-case scenario, where the item can be sold again.
| Return share | Losses per 100 delivered orders | How much this is per remaining order |
|---|---|---|
| 2% | 2,850 ₸ | 29 ₸ |
| 5% | 7,125 ₸ | 75 ₸ |
| 10% | 14,250 ₸ | 158 ₸ |
As long as customers simply change their minds, the amounts are tolerable. Returns like "not as pictured" or "doesn't work" are a different matter: their share must be below 2% (q2920), otherwise it is already a violation of quality-metric requirements. If your metrics have already fallen, the action plan is in the article if your Kaspi shop was blocked.
A returned item must be picked up from the acceptance point: it is stored for 30 days, then disposed of (q2286). And while your returns or cancellations are lying at the point, new Kaspi Delivery orders will not be accepted there (q3047).
Damage and losses
Imagine this: a tablet comes back from Shymkent, but the box contains a cracked screen, and the return act says nothing about it. In that case, the claim must be filed within 24 hours, with a photo or video and the date and time. In all other cases — damaged in transit, the order has not arrived 7 days after the planned date, a return has been hanging for a week with no status, the contents are not what the delivery note says, the seal is broken — the deadline is 10 calendar days within the city and 45 across Kazakhstan (q2991, updated Jul 14, 2026).
How much Kaspi pays back depends on the degree of damage (q2306). A dented branded box with the product intact is 10%. A scratched side or a missing cable from the set is 30%. A broken front panel or bent body is 100%, but then the item stays with you for a month after the payout and waits for the courier service. And the main condition: if the packaging does not meet Kaspi's requirements for the category, compensation may be denied completely (q2296). It is better to read the requirements before your first glass shipment, not after.
Handover deadlines: being late costs more than the rate
The time by which an order must be handed over to the acceptance point depends on your warehouse settings: when orders are accepted until 12:00, the point expects you from 10:00 to 16:00; after 12:00, from 10:00 to 20:00 (q2299, updated Jun 24, 2026). If you miss the time, bring it the next day.
The penalty for frequent delays is not obvious. If over the last 7 days you were often late with handover, the delivery time for all your orders will be increased by one to three days, and customers will see this in the product card (q3144). Delivery speed is one of the factors in the order of sellers in a product card (the shared product listing where Kaspi shows all sellers), and the top 3 for the fastest delivery is covered in detail in the article how to get to the top of a Kaspi product card. So one week of delays hits both position and conversion. There is also a separate quality metric: handover delays must be below 10% (q2920).
A pickup courier who collects orders from your warehouse is not forever. Kaspi can disconnect the service if you shipped fewer than 600 orders from the point in a month, if there is no free access road to the shipping location, or if you were often late handing orders to the courier (q2997).
Your own delivery or Kaspi Delivery: the break-even formula
Within the city, you can deliver on your own ("My delivery"). Then Kaspi does not withhold anything for delivery, but your costs — courier, car, time — do not disappear. There are rules too: you cannot refuse door delivery if an apartment number is given, extend the delivery time without the customer's consent, or charge extra to carry oversized goods upstairs (working rules, section 2). An order that the customer requested to a Kaspi Postomat still has to be taken to an acceptance point — you cannot put it into the locker yourself (q2309).
Break-even point for your own courier:
Orders per month at which your own courier is cheaper = Fixed delivery costs ÷ (Kaspi rate incl. VAT − Variable costs per order)
The numbers below are hypothetical, not a client case. A courier with a car costs 300,000 ₸ per month including fuel, and each order also takes 150 ₸ for bags and communication. If most orders are above 10,000 ₸ and lighter than 5 kg, Kaspi would charge 1,275 ₸, and your own courier starts saving money from 300,000 ÷ (1,275 − 150) ≈ 267 orders per month. For a store where the cart is usually 5,000–10,000 ₸, the rate is 811 ₸ — and the threshold moves to 454 orders, meaning about two dozen addresses every working day.
Keep in mind that the formula does not include your time for routes, unanswered calls and repeat trips, while with Kaspi Delivery, responsibility for the item in transit is on Kaspi. Separately on pickup: for partners who joined the Kaspi.kz Store after June 15, 2026, it is unavailable (q2912). A new seller chooses between Kaspi Delivery, their own delivery and Express.
Common mistakes
- Calculating with the rate excluding VAT. The Guide says 1,099 ₸; the statement says 1,275 ₸. At 500 orders a month, the forecast differs from reality by 88,000 ₸.
- A price just above the threshold. The competitor is at 10,200 ₸, you set 10,199 ₸, and in our example you earn more than 400 tenge less than you would at 9,990 ₸.
- Delivery "per one item." A bundle of two items at 6,000 ₸ each ships for 1,275 ₸, not 811 ₸. A second-item discount calculated without this can become loss-making.
- Weight "by eye." Half a kilo of extra packaging moves the order over 5 kg, and that is 290–464 ₸ on every shipment. You cannot reduce the weight in the card after the fact: the rules directly prohibit it.
- Assuming a return will refund delivery too. Only the fee comes back. On a 15,000 ₸ item, each return leaves you minus 1,275 ₸.
- A week of delays at the acceptance point. It looks like nothing was charged. But delivery time on all orders increased by one to three days, and the customer sees it next to the price.
- Returns that nobody picked up. The acceptance point will not take new orders while your cancellations are lying there, and after 30 days the returned item is disposed of.
Checklist
- Each SKU's calculation uses the rate including VAT — by packaged weight, route and typical order value.
- Prices around 5,000 ₸ and 10,000 ₸ are checked using the dead-zone formula.
- The weight in the card matches what the scales at the acceptance point show.
- Packaging requirements for your category are open and followed.
- The order acceptance time and handover days in warehouse settings are ones you can actually meet on a Friday evening.
- Returns and cancellations are picked up from the acceptance point in the first days, not "when there is a car."
The rest is about rhythm. It is useful to check the delay metric every week: Kaspi revises delivery times based on delays over the last 7 days, and one failed week immediately becomes visible in the card. It is enough to recalculate the cost of returns once a month, but separately for each product — for some items, returns eat a third of profit; for others, half. If you deliver yourself, keep your courier break-even point nearby: if orders fall below it, Kaspi Delivery is cheaper again.
How to automate it
You calculate delivery rates and the minimum price with those rates included, including on both sides of thresholds. A dumping bot (repricing bot) can hold the price in the card. The SaleScout Kaspi bot checks prices every 20 seconds, puts you at the top of the card, does not go below the minimum price you set, and raises the price when a competitor goes up or leaves. It also works with Halyk Market. You can try the bot free for 7 days, no card required.
FAQ
How much does Kaspi Delivery cost sellers in 2026?
It depends on what is being delivered and where: according to Kaspi's table, from 49 to 11,999 ₸ excluding VAT per order. Most often, sellers pay for an order from 10,000 ₸, up to 5 kg, within the city — 1,099 ₸ excluding VAT, or 1,275 ₸ with 16% VAT. Money is debited only for delivered orders.
Who pays for delivery if the customer returns an item on Kaspi?
The seller. If an order is delivered and then returned, the full cost of outbound delivery remains with you, while Kaspi pays for the return transport to the acceptance point. The sales fee is returned to your account.
Does the seller pay for Kaspi Delivery if the order is cancelled?
No. Kaspi withholds the delivery cost only from orders in the «Выдан» ("Delivered") status, even if the customer cancelled the order after you handed it over at the acceptance point. The item must be picked up from the acceptance point, otherwise new orders will not be accepted there.
Why does an item at 10,200 ₸ bring in less than at 9,990 ₸?
Because at 10,000 ₸, city delivery rises from 811 to 1,275 ₸ including VAT. In the hypothetical example with a 12.5% fee and 3% tax, the benefit only returns from roughly 10,540 ₸. Calculate your own boundary with the formula: (price below threshold × k − delivery below + delivery above) ÷ k.
What happens if I don't hand over an order to a Kaspi acceptance point on time?
Bring it the next day on the same schedule. If delays are frequent over the last 7 days, delivery time on all your orders may be increased by one to three days, and customers will see it in the card. The share of delays must remain below 10%.
When is your own delivery more profitable than Kaspi Delivery?
When the number of city orders is greater than fixed courier costs divided by the difference between the Kaspi rate and your variable costs per order. In the hypothetical example with costs of 300,000 ₸ per month, the threshold is about 267 orders at a 1,275 ₸ rate. Pickup is unavailable for new sellers after June 15, 2026.
Can I get compensation if Kaspi Delivery damaged the item?
Yes, if you file the claim in time. Within the city, you have 10 calendar days; across Kazakhstan, 45; and if the return act has no damage note, only 24 hours and a photo or video is required. Kaspi pays 10%, 30% or 100% depending on the degree of damage, but may refuse if the packaging did not meet requirements.
