Furniture on Kaspi.kz is sold without separate permission: it's not on the list of restricted categories in the Kaspi Guide. The difficulties lie elsewhere. Household furniture is declared under TR CU 025/2012, while children's furniture is certified. A wardrobe travels in three boxes of almost 30 kg each, and each one has to be processed correctly. Delivering a heavy order can eat half your margin, and if something gets damaged you have only 10 days to file a claim within the city. The commission for the «Мебель» (Furniture) section is 10.9% excluding VAT. Let's go step by step and price a sliding-door wardrobe.
In short
- Kaspi doesn't require permission for the «Мебель» category.
- Under TR CU 025/2012, household furniture is declared; children's furniture and furniture for educational institutions is certified.
- Each box is packed separately with its own waybill, and the number of parcels is entered in your account.
- An order of 10,000 ₸ or more weighing 60–100 kg costs 4,149 ₸ excluding VAT within the city and 8,549 ₸ within Kazakhstan.
- The commission on furniture is 10.9% excluding VAT and 12.5% including VAT.
Step 1. Do you need permission for furniture
Good news first. The Kaspi Guide has a list of categories where you can't list products without permission: children's products, pharmacy, cosmetics, pet products, jewellery, motor vehicles and a few more (q2224, updated Oct 5, 2026). Furniture isn't on it. Incidentally, in Kaspi's tariffs children's furniture sits inside «Мебель → Детская комната» (Furniture → Children's room), not in «Детские товары» (Children's products).
Brands are a separate story. If a brand is on the restricted list, Kaspi will ask for a purchase of at least 10 units and documents no older than 90 days (q2618, updated Jul 10, 2026). That's rare for furniture, but if you resell a well-known factory, check in advance. More in our article on brand restrictions on Kaspi.
Step 2. Declaration or certificate under TR CU 025/2012
Furniture is governed by TR CU 025/2012 «On the safety of furniture products» (TR CU 025/2012). Which document you need depends on who the furniture is for.
| Furniture | Document | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Household and for public premises | Declaration of conformity | TR CU 025/2012, Article 6, para. 2 |
| Children's | Certificate of conformity | same |
| For educational and preschool institutions | Certificate of conformity | same |
So a regular sofa or wardrobe goes with a declaration, while a children's bed or a school desk needs a certificate. Before buying, ask the supplier for a copy of the document and check that your models are on it. Details of the declaration or certificate must be in the product's accompanying documentation.
The label: what it must show
Article 5, paragraph 7 of the regulation describes the label. It's printed, in Russian, and also in the state language where national law requires it. The label must show:
- the product name and designation (model, article number);
- the manufacturer's trademark, if any;
- the country of manufacture, the manufacturer's name and address;
- details of the importer or authorised representative;
- the manufacturing date, warranty period and service life;
- the EAC single circulation mark.
What about flat-pack furniture? Here the regulation is softer. The label goes into the packaging together with the assembly instructions, and the manufacturing date is written on the box. Assembly instructions are mandatory if the furniture ships disassembled. A buyer who opens three boxes and can't find the diagram will almost certainly leave a bad review, so check every batch.
Children's furniture: height sizes
Children's and pupils' chairs, tables and desks have their own detail. The marking states the height size and the average height of the children, and furniture for kindergartens and schools gets a colour mark: a circle of at least 10 mm or a strip of at least 10×15 mm. The colour depends on the height size, for example 0 is white, 1 orange, 2 violet, 3 yellow. It's worth stating the height size on the Kaspi card too; parents look for it.
Step 3. The furniture card
What does a furniture buyer look at first? Dimensions. Width, depth, height, in centimetres and in the attributes, not just in the photo. Right after that come material, colour and whether the furniture arrives assembled or in boxes. If assembly is needed, say so.
Colours and sizes of one model can be merged into one card. Kaspi does this if brand, category and main attributes match (q5146, updated Jul 23, 2026). You submit the request from Kaspi Pay or the web account (q3146).
Now photos. People buy furniture with their eyes, and a white background alone isn't enough. Show the item in an interior, the texture and fittings close up, and for a wardrobe the inside too: shelves, rail, drawers. If the colour in the photo differs from real life, you'll get returns, so shoot in daylight. A photo with a tape measure or a person next to it works well, so buyers understand the real size. How to photograph products for a card is covered in our article on product photos for Kaspi.
Be careful with main attributes. A month after the card is created they can no longer be changed (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026). Got the wardrobe width wrong by 20 cm? You'll have to make a new card. How to build a card from scratch is described in our article on how to create a product card on Kaspi.
Step 4. Shipping in several boxes
A sliding-door wardrobe rarely fits in one box. Kaspi requires each part to be packed separately with its own waybill (q3043, updated Aug 22, 2024). The number of boxes is entered in your account:
- in Kaspi Pay: Заказы → Упаковка (Orders → Packaging), the «Количество мест» (Number of parcels) field, then «Я упаковал, распечатать накладные» (I've packed it, print waybills);
- in the web account: Заказы → Kaspi Доставка → Упаковка, the same field.
You'll get exactly as many waybills as parcels you entered. Entered one box but brought three? The two extra ones may be refused, and you'll have to edit the waybill. If the order has several products, Kaspi suggests filling in a picking sheet and then transferring the count to your account.
Where to drop off
Drop-off points have size and weight limits, and not all of them will take a big box (q3047, updated Jan 22, 2026). Tap the point's red dot on the map and check its limits before you load the van. An order placed before 12:00 is handed over between 10:00 and 16:00; after 12:00, between 10:00 and 20:00.
Packaging
For furniture, packaging isn't a formality. Kaspi states plainly that it may refuse compensation for damage if packaging is wrong (q2296, updated Nov 5, 2025). Requirements by category are in the packaging instruction in the same Guide section. Corners, glass fronts, mirrors: protect all of these separately. More in our article on packaging for Kaspi Delivery.
Step 5. Delivery tariffs for heavy orders
For orders of 10,000 ₸ or more, Kaspi Delivery charges by weight (q2288, updated Jun 16, 2026). Prices exclude VAT.
| Order weight | Within the city | Within Kazakhstan | Express |
|---|---|---|---|
| 15–30 kg | 2,299 ₸ | 3,599 ₸ | 3,149 ₸ |
| 30–60 kg | 2,899 ₸ | 5,649 ₸ | 3,599 ₸ |
| 60–100 kg | 4,149 ₸ | 8,549 ₸ | 5,599 ₸ |
| over 100 kg | 6,449 ₸ | 11,999 ₸ | 8,449 ₸ |
Delivery is charged with VAT and only after the order becomes «Выдан» (Delivered). On heavy orders the gap between city and Kazakhstan-wide delivery is almost twofold. If you're in Almaty and the buyer is in Aktobe, build that into the price.
Look at the table again: crossing 100 kg almost doubles the Kazakhstan-wide tariff, from 8,549 ₸ to 11,999 ₸. If a kitchen set weighs 105 kg, it's sometimes cheaper to sell it as two orders, for example upper and lower modules separately. But do the maths yourself and consider whether it suits the buyer.
There's another route too: delivering yourself within your city. How to set that up is covered in our article on own delivery on Kaspi.
If furniture gets damaged in transit
Claims against Kaspi Delivery have deadlines: 10 calendar days within the city and 45 within Kazakhstan, counted from the day you or the customer received the damaged goods (q2306, updated Nov 25, 2025). If there's no damage note in the return certificate, the deadline is just 24 hours. You need photos or video with the date and time.
| Compensation | When |
|---|---|
| 10% | The product looks intact, but the branded packaging is damaged or missing |
| 30% | The back or sides are damaged but the product looks intact, or components are missing |
| 100% | The front is damaged, the body is deformed, key elements are missing |
After 100% compensation, you keep the item for a month: the courier service will collect it. So don't throw out a broken nightstand straight away.
Commission and calculating the minimum price
Under the 2026 tariffs, all «Мебель» subcategories (living room, bedroom, kitchen, children's room, office, storage systems) go at 10.9% excluding VAT and 12.5% including VAT (Tariffs 2026, PDF). If an order is cancelled, the commission is refunded (q1344, updated Jan 6, 2026).
Let's price a wardrobe. A hypothetical example, not a client case. A sliding-door wardrobe at 95,000 ₸, three boxes with a total weight of 85 kg. Purchase cost 62,000 ₸, packaging and crating take 3,000 ₸ (our assumption). Delivery at 60–100 kg: 4,149 ₸ within the city, 4,813 ₸ with VAT; 8,549 ₸ within Kazakhstan, 9,917 ₸ with VAT.
| Item | Within the city | Within Kazakhstan |
|---|---|---|
| Price | 95,000 ₸ | 95,000 ₸ |
| Commission 12.5% incl. VAT | 11,875 ₸ | 11,875 ₸ |
| Purchase cost | 62,000 ₸ | 62,000 ₸ |
| Packaging and crating | 3,000 ₸ | 3,000 ₸ |
| Delivery incl. VAT | 4,813 ₸ | 9,917 ₸ |
| Left from the sale | 13,312 ₸ | 8,208 ₸ |
Minimum price = (Purchase cost + Delivery + Packaging) ÷ (1 − Commission incl. VAT)
Within the city it comes to (62,000 + 4,813 + 3,000) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 79,787 ₸. Within Kazakhstan, (62,000 + 9,917 + 3,000) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 85,620 ₸. Almost six thousand difference on one wardrobe. If you sell across the country, set the floor using the intercity tariff, otherwise every order from another city will bring in less than you think. Common mistakes when selling furniture on Kaspi
- A declaration for children's furniture. Under TR CU 025/2012, children's and school furniture is certified.
- No label or instructions in the box. For flat-pack furniture, the label goes into the packaging with the assembly diagram.
- One parcel for three boxes. The extra boxes may be refused.
- Weak packaging. If packaging is wrong, compensation may be refused.
- A missed claim deadline. 10 days within the city, 24 hours without a note in the certificate.
- A minimum price based on the city tariff. Orders from other cities end up at a loss.

Best-selling models of chairs, tables and shelving units are sold by several stores at once, and the price on the card changes throughout the day. The SaleScout Kaspi bot checks prices every 20 seconds, keeps you at the top of the product card and never goes below the minimum price you set. When a competitor raises their price, the bot raises yours too. SaleScout niche analytics helps you see which items are in demand before you buy a batch. Frequently asked questions about selling furniture on Kaspi
Do I need permission to sell furniture on Kaspi?
No, furniture isn't on the list of restricted categories. You may be asked for documents only if the brand itself is restricted: then you need a purchase of at least 10 units and papers no older than 90 days.
Which document does furniture need: a declaration or a certificate?
For regular household furniture, a declaration of conformity under TR CU 025/2012 is enough. Children's furniture and furniture for schools and kindergartens is certified; a declaration won't do there.
How do I ship a wardrobe in several boxes?
Pack each box separately and stick on its own waybill. In your account, under «Упаковка» (Packaging), enter the number of parcels, and Kaspi generates the same number of waybills.
How much does furniture delivery through Kaspi cost?
It depends on the order weight. An order of 10,000 ₸ or more weighing 60–100 kg costs 4,149 ₸ within the city and 8,549 ₸ within Kazakhstan. Over 100 kg it's 6,449 ₸ and 11,999 ₸. These prices exclude VAT.
What if furniture is damaged during delivery?
File a claim with photos or video. The deadline is 10 days within the city and 45 within Kazakhstan, and only one day if there's no damage note in the certificate. Compensation is 10, 30 or 100%.
What is Kaspi's commission on furniture?
10.9% excluding VAT, which comes to 12.5% with VAT. The rate is the same for all furniture subcategories, from armchairs to children's chests of drawers.
Are assembly instructions required?
Yes, if the furniture ships disassembled. Under the regulation, the label goes into the packaging together with the assembly instructions, and the manufacturing date is written on the box.
Why didn't the drop-off point accept my box?
Most likely the box is bigger or heavier than that point accepts. Check the limits on the map, or see whether the number of boxes matches the number of parcels on the waybill.
