A mattress and a pillow live in different sections on Kaspi. A mattress is «Мебель» (Furniture), a pillow and a duvet are «Домашний текстиль» (Home textiles). The rate is the same, 12.5% with VAT, but everything else differs: documents, packaging, delivery. A pillow has one problem — the 10,000 ₸ line. A mattress has several at once. It's a large item under Kaspi's rules, its weight decides how much delivery to the regions costs, and nearly ten mattress brands are closed without a permission. Below is a breakdown and nine items calculated in tenge.
In short

We didn't find a separate "orthopaedic pillows" subcategory in the tariffs. A regular pillow with an anatomical shape goes into «Подушки» (Pillows). «Аптека» (Pharmacy) is another matter: anti-bedsore mattresses and cushions are on the list of restricted categories (PDF). Brands that need documents
There turned out to be many mattress labels on the list of restricted brands as of Nov 5, 2026. Askona, ORMATEK, DiMax, Cozy Sleep, Medsleep, Royal Sleep. Plus Russian-language names: МатрасСон, Матрасный Дом, Мир матрасов, Центр Матрасов. IKEA and Любимый Дом are there too, and they also have pillows and duvets.
What will Kaspi accept (q2618, updated Jul 10, 2026)? A letter from the rights holder, a purchase agreement, waybills and payment for 90 days. Or receipts from the brand's official website in the name of the director, no older than 60 days. In any case, at least 10 units of the brand. Mattresses in lots of 10 are already a serious stock, so we would file the application before purchasing, not after. How to do it — brand restriction on Kaspi.
We would consider a showroom mattress or a returned one without packaging as used. And Kaspi bans used goods, fakes and replicas entirely (q3904, updated Jan 16, 2026).
Documents: two regulations
Mattresses — TR CU 025/2012
A mattress is a separate line in the technical regulation on furniture (TR CU 025/2012). For household furniture the regulation requires a declaration. But there is an exception: children's furniture and furniture for schools and kindergartens are subject to mandatory certification. And in the list of children's furniture, mattresses are named directly, next to beds and playpens.
In practice this means the following. A 160×200 mattress — a declaration. A mattress for a 60×120 cot — a certificate. It's easy to mix them up, especially if the supplier ships both. Ask them for the paper for the children's batch specifically. The regulation requires the certificate or declaration details to be stated in the accompanying documents.
Pillows and duvets — TR CU 017/2011
The regulation on light industry calls pillows and duvets «постельные принадлежности» (bedding items) (TR CU 017/2011). This is not bed linen, which has its own rules, but a separate group, and for it the regulation provides for declaration. A mattress topper is formally closer to textiles than to furniture. If you're unsure which regulation your model falls under, ask a certification body before ordering a batch.
What to write on the card
Filling, firmness, height, size, removable cover — these are the filters people search by. The main specifications can no longer be corrected after a month (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026). Sizes of one model are merged into one card by application if the brand and category match (q3146, updated Sep 28, 2026).
"Orthopaedic" in the title is a common word for mattresses. We wouldn't add "treats your back", "helps with osteochondrosis" and the like. A regular mattress has no medical documents, but the promise is there. And write "hypoallergenic" only if the manufacturer says so.
Delivery: 70 cm, 20 kg and weight steps
Under Kaspi's rules a mattress is a large item. A pillow is a regular one.
How to pack
Large means over 70 cm on any side or heavier than 20 kg (how to pack an item, PDF). Any mattress falls under this and, by the way, so do many boxed duvets. For large items Kaspi recommends five-layer corrugated cardboard. Each package is packed separately, with its own waybill. Incorrect packaging is a reason to refuse a claim.
A mattress and a mattress topper in one order are two packages. Two pillows in one box are one. You state the number of packages yourself (q3043, updated Aug 22, 2024).
What may not ship
Mattresses are not on the Kaspi Delivery restrictions list (PDF). But at the end of the document there are general rules. Restrictions may apply to items longer than 3 metres, heavier than 250 kg, bulky items in assembled form and orders of more than 10 large packages. A mattress 2 metres long doesn't fall under the first rule. The document doesn't specify how Kaspi views an unrolled spring mattress. We would send the first order of this size on its own and see how the drop-off point accepts it. A mattress rolled up under vacuum takes much less space, and there will most likely be fewer questions about it.

Parcel locker
A vacuum-packed pillow will fit into a parcel locker. The largest cell, L, is 296×438×452 mm (q2915, updated Jul 23, 2024). A mattress won't; a courier takes it to the buyer.
The math: pillows, a duvet, a mattress topper and four mattresses
Conditional example, not a client case. We made up the purchase costs, weights and prices, and didn't count taxes. Delivery tariffs are Kaspi's from Jan 1, 2026, with 16% VAT (q2288, updated Jun 16, 2026). Below 10,000 ₸ delivery goes by order amount: from 5,000 to 10,000 ₸ it's 811 ₸ within the city and 927 ₸ to the regions. From 10,000 ₸ — by weight: up to 5 kg 1,275 and 1,507 ₸, 5–15 kg 1,565 and 1,971 ₸, 15–30 kg 2,667 and 4,175 ₸, 30–60 kg 3,363 and 6,553 ₸.

Minimum price: (purchase cost + delivery + packaging) ÷ (1 − rate). A 160×200 mattress at 26 kg to the regions: (78,000 + 4,175 + 1,200) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 95,286 ₸. The same mattress, but 32 kg: (78,000 + 6,553 + 1,200) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 98,003 ₸. Pillow: (3,000 + 927 + 200) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 4,717 ₸.
The 30 kg line
Look at the two bottom rows. Same size, same price, and a 2,378 ₸ difference. All because of six kilograms: a spring unit instead of foam, a denser cover, a heavier box. The weight in the supplier's description is usually the weight of the mattress, not of the parcel. Weigh it packed. If it comes to 31 kg, sometimes swapping the box for film with corner protectors is enough.
The 15 kg line works the same way, only softer. A 90×200 mattress at 12 kg goes to the regions for 1,971 ₸, and at 16 kg for 4,175 ₸.
The mattress topper and the 10,000 ₸ line
A mattress topper at 9,500 ₸ leaves 1,685 ₸, at 10,200 ₸ — 1,718 ₸. Plus 700 ₸ on the price, plus 580 ₸ on delivery, and in the end just 33 ₸ on top. There's no point raising a mattress topper past 10,000 ₸ by a couple of hundred; here you either keep it below or jump noticeably higher.
Two pillows instead of one
One pillow to the regions leaves 1,911 ₸. Two in one box — 3,393 ₸: one delivery, almost the same packaging. If you sell pillows, a set of two is usually more profitable than two separate orders. More on how not to go into the red — how not to sell at a loss on Kaspi.
Returns and damage
Kaspi's general rule is 14 days for an item of proper quality if its presentation is preserved, and 30 days for a defective one (q2269, updated Sep 21, 2026). Among the exceptions in Article 30 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Consumer Protection" we found medical devices, underwear and goods sold by the metre (Consumer Protection Law). Regular mattresses and pillows aren't there.
Another dispute is easy to imagine: a mattress was returned unrolled and with signs of use. For such a case Kaspi has a refusal with the reason «Товар или упаковка повреждены» (Item or packaging damaged) (q2277, updated Nov 27, 2024). The buyer can dispute it within three days. Without photos and video at acceptance you can't win such a dispute. More — returns on Kaspi for sellers.
Damaged on the way? A claim is filed within 10 days within the city and 45 across Kazakhstan (q2306, updated Nov 25, 2025). Kaspi advises always filming the packing.
Common mistakes in selling mattresses and pillows on Kaspi
- Askona or ORMATEK without a permission. The card will be removed, and the 10 units in stock are already paid for.
- A children's mattress with a declaration. For children's furniture the regulation requires a certificate.
- An anti-bedsore mattress in «Мебель» (Furniture). Its place is «Аптека» (Pharmacy), and a permission is needed.
- Weight from the supplier's price list. A packed mattress is heavier, and to the regions it's 2,378 ₸ more.
- A mattress in thin film. Kaspi recommends five-layer corrugated cardboard for large items.
- "Treats your back" in the description. Nothing to back that up.
- A showroom mattress. Essentially used.

How to automate prices on mattresses and pillows
If a mattress card has several sellers, its price can change during the day, and delivery to the regions for a heavy model costs many times more than for a pillow.
