Garden products on Kaspi are sold without permission, and they carry a single commission of 12.5% including VAT, from a hose to a walk-behind tractor. The difficulties here are physical. A lawn mower weighs 16 kg and lands in the weight step where delivery to another city costs 4,175 ₸. A petrol trimmer won't be accepted with fuel left in the tank. A garden furniture set travels in three boxes with three waybills. Let's see how not to lose money on this and calculate the minimum price for five typical products.
In short
- «Дача, сад и огород» (Dacha, garden and vegetable plot) is part of «Товары для дома и дачи» (Home and garden), the commission is 12.5% including VAT, and it isn't a restricted category.

What the section covers and what Kaspi charges
In Kaspi's 2026 tariffs «Товары для дома и дачи → Дача, сад и огород» (Home and garden → Dacha, garden and vegetable plot) brings together garden equipment (lawn mowers, leaf blowers, pressure washers, motor pumps, generators), farm machinery (walk-behind tractors, cultivators), garden tools, watering, pools, garden furniture, greenhouses, grills and tandoors, seeds and fertilizers. All these subcategories share one rate: 10.9% without VAT and 12.5% with VAT (2026 tariffs, PDF).
The section isn't on the list of restricted categories (q2224, updated Oct 5, 2026). The brand is what to check: for well-known garden equipment brands you may be asked for a letter from the rights holder or a contract, plus invoices and payments for the last 90 days (q2618, updated Jul 10, 2026). Used equipment and counterfeits are banned (q3904, updated Jan 16, 2026). You can't list a trimmer "after one season" on Kaspi. More in brand restrictions on Kaspi.
Documents: electric, petrol and hand equipment
Electric mowers, trimmers and pumps
The annex to TR CU 004/2011 on low-voltage equipment lists, among household electrical appliances, devices «для садово-огородного хозяйства» ("for gardening and vegetable growing"), «для аквариумов и садовых водоемов» ("for aquariums and garden ponds") and electric pumps. All of them confirm conformity by certification. Gardening devices and electric pumps are also on the certification list under TR CU 020/2011 on electromagnetic compatibility (TR CU 004/2011, TR CU 020/2011). For an electric lawn mower, a pool pump or a pond filter, ask the supplier for certificates under both regulations.
A cordless trimmer runs at a voltage below the TR CU 004/2011 thresholds, but its charger plugs into a socket and is on the lists. How this works is covered in detail in tools on Kaspi.
Petrol equipment and hand tools
The low-voltage regulation doesn't cover a petrol mower, a walk-behind tractor or a motor pump: they don't run on mains power. Which document a specific model needs, check with the supplier or a certification body. Shovels, rakes, pruners and watering cans don't fall under the electrical regulations at all.
Rodent and insect control
The section has «Средства от грызунов» (Rodent control) and repellers. Rodent-control and insect-control products for household use are on the list of products that need state registration (CU Commission Decision No. 299, section II, item 6). Without a certificate number it's better not to create such a listing.

The product card: power, cutting width, volume
Kaspi links a product to a card by its main attributes (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026). Several sizes or colors in one card are allowed only in «Одежда» (Clothing) and «Обувь» (Footwear). A 305 cm and a 366 cm pool are two cards, and a 15 m and a 25 m hose are two as well. Once a card is more than a month old its main attributes can't be changed, so enter the length and volume right away.
Buyers of garden equipment compare numbers, not photos. For a mower that's the cutting width and grass box volume, for a pump the flow rate and lift height, for a pool the volume in liters and whether a filter pump is included. For a greenhouse it matters how many sections it has and whether polycarbonate is included. An incomplete set is a common reason large items get returned, and returning a pool from another city costs you 9,917 ₸ in delivery. Shipping: an empty tank, parcels and the drop-off point
Petrol equipment
Kaspi's packing instructions require fuel tanks and systems to be empty, with no petrol, diesel or other flammable liquids. Air compressors and products with fuel tanks are packed so they can be unpacked and checked at the drop-off point (How to pack goods for Kaspi Delivery, PDF). In practice this means: don't seal the box with the walk-behind tractor shut until the order has been handed over. If you tested the engine at the warehouse, drain the fuel before packing, not after.
Large items and multiple parcels
Kaspi treats anything with at least one side longer than 70 cm or a weight over 20 kg as a large item. If a product consists of several parts, each is packed separately and gets its own waybill. The number of parcels is entered when packing the order (q3043, updated Aug 22, 2024). A garden furniture set of a table and four chairs is three or four parcels. For heavy items the instructions recommend a five-layer corrugated cardboard box.
The drop-off point may refuse
Each drop-off point has its own size and weight limits. If an order is bigger than allowed, it won't be accepted. The limits are shown on the map of points when you tap the point's marker (q3047, updated Jan 22, 2026). Before you list a pool or a greenhouse, find a point near your warehouse that accepts such orders. Otherwise the first order turns into a drive around town with a box in the trunk. The math: delivery decides everything
A hypothetical example, not a client case. Prices, purchase costs, weights and packing are made up, and taxes are left out. Delivery follows Kaspi's tariffs from Jan 1, 2026, with 16% VAT added (q2288, updated Jun 16, 2026). For orders from 10,000 ₸ the tariff depends on weight.

For the lawn mower going to another city: (61,000 + 4,175 + 400) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 74,943 ₸. For the pool: (82,000 + 9,917 + 500) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 105,619 ₸.
One kilogram costs 2,204 ₸
A 14 kg lawn mower ships to another city for 1,971 ₸, a 16 kg one already for 4,175 ₸. That's a 2,204 ₸ difference for a couple of kilograms. Weigh the item in the packaging you ship it in, and if it's close to a step boundary, consider a lighter box or a lighter model. With the pool it's even harsher: 4,813 ₸ within the city, 9,917 ₸ across Kazakhstan. An order to Karaganda brings exactly those 5,104 ₸ less than the same order in your own city.
Hoses and small items
A 7,500 ₸ hose with a purchase cost of 4,200 ₸ ships at the tariff for orders from 5,000 to 10,000 ₸: 927 ₸ across Kazakhstan. That leaves 1,335 ₸, and the minimum price is about 5,974 ₸. Small tools pay off as long as the order sum doesn't cross 10,000 ₸. Raise the price of a watering kit to 10,500 ₸ and delivery becomes weight-based: 1,275 ₸ within the city and 1,507 ₸ across Kazakhstan.
The season
Kaspi doesn't publish when and how much people buy garden products. You'll see the season in your own sales, and it's better to plan spring purchasing based on last year's orders rather than gut feeling. More in sales seasonality on Kaspi. Returns: equipment comes back, seedlings don't
A buyer can return unused equipment within 14 days, and defective equipment within 30 days or within the manufacturer's warranty period (q2269, updated Sep 21, 2026). Kaspi refunds the commission on a returned order, but the delivery that was charged stays with you (q1344, updated Jan 6, 2026). For a pool sent to another city that's 9,917 ₸.
Article 30 of the Law of the RK "On consumer protection" lists exceptions to returning goods of proper quality. Animals and plants are among them (Law of the RK No. 274-IV). A healthy seedling that the buyer simply didn't like can't be returned by law. If it arrived dried out, though, it's a product of improper quality. More in returns on Kaspi for sellers.
Common mistakes when selling garden and dacha products on Kaspi
- Petrol equipment with fuel left in it. Kaspi's packing instructions require an empty tank.
- A walk-behind tractor box sealed shut. Products with fuel tanks must be packed so they can be checked at the drop-off point.
- A furniture set with one waybill. Each parcel has its own waybill, and the number of parcels is entered when packing.
- A price that ignores the weight step. A 16 kg mower costs 4,175 ₸ to ship to another city, not 1,971 ₸.
- A pool listed without checking the drop-off point. Not every point accepts orders of that weight and size.
- Electrical equipment without certificates. Electric garden devices and pumps are on the certification lists under TR CU 004/2011 and 020/2011.
- A rodent control product without state registration. It's required under Decision No. 299.

Do I need Kaspi's permission to sell garden products?
Not for the section itself: «Дача, сад и огород» (Dacha, garden and vegetable plot) isn't a restricted category. The question may come up with the brand. If you bring in equipment from a well-known brand on the restricted list, Kaspi will ask for documents from the rights holder.
What commission does Kaspi charge on garden products?
A VAT payer pays 12.5%, everyone else 10.9%. It's convenient here: a walk-behind tractor, a hammock, a packet of seeds and a hose all go at one rate, and you don't have to recalculate the commission for each subcategory.
Can I ship a petrol trimmer through Kaspi Delivery?
Yes, but the tank must be dry. If you started the trimmer at the warehouse, drain the fuel before packing. Don't tape the box shut completely: it may be opened and checked at the drop-off point.
Which documents does an electric lawn mower need?

How do I ship garden furniture that comes in several boxes?
A table and four chairs in three boxes are three parcels. Enter that number when you pack the order, and Kaspi will issue a waybill for each box. Don't stick one waybill on a bundle of boxes.
Can seedlings be returned on Kaspi?
A healthy apple tree that the buyer just didn't like can't be returned: plants are named among the exceptions in article 30 of the Consumer Protection Law. It's different if the seedling arrived dried out. Then it's a defective product, and you'll have to accept the return.
How do I calculate the minimum price for a lawn mower?
The mower in the example costs you 61,000 ₸. It weighs 16 kg, so it ships to another city for 4,175 ₸, plus 400 ₸ for the box and film. Divide 65,575 ₸ by 0.875 and you get about 74,943 ₸. Within the city the minimum price is lower, about 73,219 ₸.
