You can list cookware on Kaspi without any permission: «Товары для дома и дачи» (Home and garden) isn't a restricted category, and pots, dinner sets and mugs all carry the same 12.5% commission including VAT. The money in this niche gets lost somewhere else. A dinner set arrives in another city with a cup handle snapped off, the damage claim is rejected because of the packing, and you've paid for the stock, the delivery and the materials with nothing to show for it. Below: which documents you actually need, how to pack glass and ceramics according to Kaspi's instructions, and how to calculate the price you must never go below.
In short
- Adult cookware doesn't need Kaspi's permission. Children's tableware is different: «Детские товары» (Kids' goods) is a restricted category.
- Table and kitchen ware is excluded from the list of products that require state registration (Decision No. 299, section II, item 11).
- Tableware for children under 3 needs state registration and a declaration under TR CU 007/2011.
- Glass and ceramics are packed with a «Осторожно! Хрупкое» ("Caution! Fragile") label, otherwise compensation for breakage may be refused.
- A frying pan at 10,200 ₸ pays 580 ₸ more for delivery to another city than one at 9,500 ₸.
What you need to list cookware
In Kaspi's 2026 tariffs cookware sits under «Товары для дома и дачи → Посуда и принадлежности» (Home and garden → Cookware and accessories). That covers kitchen utensils, cookware, table settings, knives and chopping boards, mugs and glasses, kettles and Turkish coffee pots. Every subcategory has the same rate — 10.9% without VAT and 12.5% with VAT (2026 Tariffs, PDF).
Home goods aren't on the list of restricted categories (q2224, updated Oct 5, 2026). «Детские товары» is on it, though, and children's plates and sippy cups often live in exactly that section. If you list them there, Kaspi will ask for a supply contract, an EAC certificate or declaration, a state registration certificate where the law requires one, an invoice and proof of payment.
Check the brand separately. Restricted brands need a letter from the rights holder or a contract, plus invoices and payments for the last 90 days, at least 10 units (q2618, updated Jul 10, 2026). Replicas of well-known brands and used cookware are banned outright (q3904, updated Jan 16, 2026). More in the article on brand restrictions on Kaspi.
Documents: adult, children's and electric cookware
Pots, frying pans, dinner sets
This is where many sellers play it too safe and go looking for a state registration certificate. The Unified list of products subject to state registration does include products that come into contact with food, but with a caveat: «кроме посуды столовой и кухонной, приборов столовых и кухонных принадлежностей» ("except table and kitchen ware, cutlery and kitchen utensils") (CU Commission Decision No. 299, section II, item 11). So an ordinary frying pan doesn't need a state registration certificate.
That doesn't mean there are never any documents at all. Which document the supplier should give you for a specific batch is something to check with them and with a certification body, especially if the cookware is being imported for the first time. For Kaspi it's enough that the product isn't in a restricted category and doesn't break any bans.
Children's tableware
TR CU 007/2011 on products for children and teenagers names tableware and cutlery for children under 3: cups, saucers, sippy cups, plates, bowls, spoons, forks, bottles. For these, conformity assessment takes the form of state registration followed by declaration (TR CU 007/2011, article 12). A plate with a teddy bear for a two-year-old and the same plate without a picture for adults are different products as far as paperwork goes.
Electric kettles, blenders and other electric cookware
An electric kettle or a multicooker is no longer cookware but a household appliance for preparing food. Such appliances are on the certification lists under TR CU 004/2011 and TR CU 020/2011 (TR CU 004/2011, TR CU 020/2011). An ordinary stovetop kettle doesn't fall under these regulations. More on appliances in the article on household appliances on Kaspi.
| Product | Kaspi permission | Product document |
|---|---|---|
| Pot, frying pan, dinner set | Not needed (check the brand) | No state registration needed (Decision No. 299, section II, item 11); check the rest with the supplier |
| Children's plate, sippy cup for under-3s | Needed if the product is in «Детские товары» | State registration + declaration under TR CU 007/2011 |
| Electric kettle, multicooker | Not needed (check the brand) | Certificates under TR CU 004/2011 and 020/2011 |
The table is a guide based on the text of the documents, not a legal opinion.
The product card: what cookware buyers check first
Kaspi links a product to a product card (the single shared listing all sellers of that item compete in) by its main characteristics: model, shape, colour, size (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026). Several colours or sizes in one card are only allowed in «Одежда» (Clothing) and «Обувь» (Footwear). A 24 cm and a 28 cm frying pan are two different cards. You can only merge products of the same brand and category with matching main characteristics (q5146, updated Jul 23, 2026). And remember: once a card is more than a month old, its main characteristics can no longer be changed.
Cookware buyers almost always ask the same things:
- does it work on an induction hob;
- can it go in the dishwasher and the oven;
- volume in litres and base diameter, not just "for 4 people";
- what the coating and handles are made of;
- how many pieces are in the set and exactly what's included.
The last point is the main reason for returns. A "6-person dinner set" means 18, 24 or 30 pieces depending on the factory. Write the contents as a list and photograph the whole set on a table. How to do photos and descriptions is covered in the articles on product photos for Kaspi and how to create a product card on Kaspi.
Packing: glass and ceramics
Kaspi's packing instructions are blunt: if a product has glass or mirror parts, it needs a «Осторожно! Хрупкое» ("Caution! Fragile") label. The item is fixed inside the box and empty space is filled with paper, bubble wrap or polystyrene. If the factory box is weak and the items rattle around in it, you open it, secure the contents and put it into a sturdy cardboard box (How to pack goods for Kaspi Delivery, PDF). If the item isn't packed according to the rules, Kaspi may refuse compensation for damage (q2296, updated Nov 5, 2025).
For cookware this translates into a few practical things. Wrap every plate in a dinner set separately, with cardboard between the plates. Stand cups with the handles facing the same way and put paper inside them. Isolate knives with cardboard: the instructions say sharp edges are covered separately. Kaspi treats a set of pots heavier than 20 kg or with a box side longer than 70 cm as a large item, and if you split it into boxes, each one gets its own waybill. The number of places is entered when you pack the order (q3043, updated Aug 22, 2024).
One more line from the instructions is worth following with cookware every single time: record the packing of the order on video with the date and time. When a buyer writes "the cup arrived broken", that's the only thing that proves you sent it whole.
If the dinner set breaks anyway
A claim for damage during delivery must be filed within 10 calendar days for delivery within a city and within 45 days for delivery across Kazakhstan (q2306, updated Nov 25, 2025). Don't put it off: keep an eye on returns and check them against the video straight away. More in the article on packing goods for Kaspi Delivery.
The math: what's left from cookware
An illustrative example, not a client case. Prices, purchase costs, weights and packing costs are made up, and taxes are left out. Delivery uses Kaspi's tariffs from Jan 1, 2026 with 16% VAT added (q2288, updated Jun 16, 2026). The delivery fee is charged when the order reaches «Выдан» ("Delivered").
| Item | Dinner set, 5–15 kg | Set of pots, 5–15 kg | Frying pan | Mug |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price | 24,000 ₸ | 32,000 ₸ | 9,500 ₸ | 2,500 ₸ |
| Commission 12.5% | 3,000 ₸ | 4,000 ₸ | 1,188 ₸ | 312 ₸ |
| Purchase price | 14,500 ₸ | 21,000 ₸ | 5,200 ₸ | 1,100 ₸ |
| Packing | 600 ₸ | 400 ₸ | 150 ₸ | 150 ₸ |
| Delivery within the city incl. VAT | 1,565 ₸ | 1,565 ₸ | 811 ₸ | 173 ₸ |
| Delivery across Kazakhstan incl. VAT | 1,971 ₸ | 1,971 ₸ | 927 ₸ | 173 ₸ |
| Left, across Kazakhstan | 3,929 ₸ | 4,629 ₸ | 2,035 ₸ | 765 ₸ |
Minimum price = (Purchase price + Delivery + Packing) ÷ (1 − Commission with VAT)
For a dinner set going to another city: (14,500 + 1,971 + 600) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 19,510 ₸. For the set of pots: (21,000 + 1,971 + 400) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 26,710 ₸. For the frying pan: (5,200 + 927 + 150) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 7,174 ₸.
The 10,000 ₸ threshold
Below 10,000 ₸ the tariff depends only on the order total: from 5,000 to 10,000 ₸ it's 811 ₸ within the city and 927 ₸ across Kazakhstan, incl. VAT. From 10,000 ₸ the tariff is calculated by weight, and even a light order up to 5 kg costs 1,275 and 1,507 ₸. A frying pan at 9,500 ₸ leaves 2,035 ₸ in another city. Raise it to 10,200 ₸ and you're left with 2,068 ₸: an extra 700 ₸ on the price earned you just 33 ₸, because delivery went up by 580 ₸ and the commission by 87 ₸. If a product sits near the threshold, it's better to stay just under it or move clearly above it.
Mugs one by one or as a set
A mug at 2,500 ₸ ships for 173 ₸ and leaves you 765 ₸. A set of six of the same mugs at 12,900 ₸, with a purchase price of 6,600 ₸ and 500 ₸ of packing, gives 2,681 ₸ in another city. That's 447 ₸ per mug — less than when you sell them one at a time. The set wins on the amount per order, not on the margin per mug. Decide what matters more to you: revenue per buyer or markup.
What a breakage costs
If a dinner set breaks on its way to another city and you don't get compensation, you lose the 14,500 ₸ purchase price, 1,971 ₸ of delivery and 600 ₸ of packing — 17,071 ₸ in total. Kaspi refunds the commission on a returned order (q1344, updated Jan 6, 2026), but the delivery fee that's been charged stays charged. Let's add another 400 ₸ to the packing for film and a second layer of cardboard. That pays off if it saves at least one dinner set out of 42 shipments (17,071 ÷ 400 ≈ 42.7). Kaspi won't show you your breakage rate, so work it out from your own orders over a couple of months. More on the minimum price in the article on how not to sell at a loss on Kaspi.
Returns
A buyer can return unused cookware within 14 days, and defective cookware within 30 days or within the manufacturer's warranty period (q2269, updated Sep 21, 2026). Cookware isn't on the list of goods that can't be returned under article 30 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «О защите прав потребителей» (On Consumer Protection) (Law No. 274-IV). A frying pan with a scratched coating "after one fried egg" is already a used item, and it's worth explaining that calmly to the buyer in chat. More in the article on returns on Kaspi for sellers.
Common mistakes when selling cookware on Kaspi
- Dinner-set plates in a box with no padding. Without fixing and a «Хрупкое» ("Fragile") label Kaspi may reject a breakage claim, and the loss on a dinner set sent to another city is 17,071 ₸.
- 24 and 28 cm frying pans in one card. Different sizes are different products, and such a card won't pass review.
- A price just above 10,000 ₸. Delivery to another city jumps from 927 to 1,507 ₸, and the price increase goes almost entirely on it.
- Children's tableware without documents. Tableware for under-3s needs state registration and a declaration, and in «Детские товары» it also needs Kaspi's permission.
- Set contents described as "for 6 people". The buyer expected 24 pieces, got 18 and returns the item, but the delivery fee doesn't come back.
- No packing video. Without it you've got nothing to settle a dispute about a broken cup.
- A missed claim deadline. You have 10 days within a city and 45 across Kazakhstan.

How to automate cookware prices
A best-selling frying pan or set of food containers often has several sellers in its card, and the price shifts during the day. The SaleScout Kaspi bot checks prices at intervals from 20 seconds, keeps you at the top of the card and never goes below the minimum price you've set. When a competitor raises their price or leaves the card, the bot raises yours too. SaleScout niche analytics helps you see which cookware people are searching for and how many sellers are already in the card. You can try the bot free for 7 days, no card needed.
Frequently asked questions about selling cookware on Kaspi
Do I need permission to sell cookware on Kaspi?
Not for ordinary cookware: «Товары для дома и дачи» isn't on the list of restricted categories. You'll need permission for restricted brands and for children's tableware if it's listed in «Детские товары».
What commission does Kaspi charge on cookware?
12.5% for VAT payers and 10.9% for everyone else. The rate is the same for pots, dinner sets, knives and mugs.
Do pots and frying pans need a state registration certificate?
No. CU Commission Decision No. 299 explicitly excludes table and kitchen ware from the list of products that require state registration. Tableware for children under 3 is a different matter: under TR CU 007/2011 it needs state registration and a declaration.
How do I pack cookware for Kaspi Delivery?
Wrap each piece in film, fix it in the box, fill the gaps and stick on «Осторожно! Хрупкое». If the packing doesn't follow Kaspi's instructions, compensation for breakage may not be paid.
What should I do if cookware breaks during delivery?
File a claim straight away: you have 10 calendar days within a city and 45 across Kazakhstan. A packing video with the date and time will help you back it up.
Why shouldn't I price just above 10,000 ₸?
From 10,000 ₸ delivery is calculated by weight. An order up to 5 kg to another city costs 1,507 ₸ instead of 927 ₸, so a frying pan at 10,200 ₸ earns almost the same as one at 9,500 ₸.
How do I calculate the minimum price for cookware?
Add up the purchase price, delivery incl. VAT and packing, and divide by 0.875. For a dinner set with a 14,500 ₸ purchase price, 1,971 ₸ delivery and 600 ₸ packing that comes to about 19,510 ₸.
