Kaspi sells vases, mirrors, paintings, candles, diffusers, clocks, figurines and artificial plants in «Товары для дома и дачи → Интерьер» (Home and garden → Interior) at 12.5% with VAT, and the category needs no permission. Brands are restricted: IKEA, Zara Home, HOFF, Lefard, Adel Home and a few more. Decor loses money in two places. The first is breakage: glass and mirrors break on the way, and Kaspi may refuse compensation for incorrect packaging. The second is the 10,000 ₸ threshold, where half the range sits.
In short
- All of «Интерьер» on Kaspi is charged 10.9% without VAT and 12.5% with VAT.
- IKEA, Zara Home, HOFF, Lefard, Adel Home, 7NEBO HOME, Azala Home and Aia home are restricted brands.
- Kaspi Delivery doesn't carry floor clocks and lighters, and fragile goods may fall under restrictions.
- For breakage Kaspi compensates 10, 30 or 100% depending on the damage, but only if the packaging followed the instructions.
- A diffuser at 9,800 ₸ leaves more money than at 10,400 ₸ when it goes to another city.
What «Интерьер» includes on Kaspi
We went through the section in the 2026 tariffs (2026 tariffs, PDF). There are many subcategories, and all have one rate.

|---|---|---|---|
| Plants, trees, vases and pots | vases, planters, artificial and house plants, decorative fillers | 10.9% | 12.5% |
| Paintings, panels and frames | paintings and posters, frames, bas-reliefs, decorative moss, mounts | 10.9% | 12.5% |
| Interior mirrors | wall and floor mirrors | 10.9% | 12.5% |
| Candles and candle holders | home candles, candle holders, candelabras | 10.9% | 12.5% |
| Home fragrance | diffusers, aroma lamps, incense, interior perfumes and sachets | 10.9% | 12.5% |
| Clocks and weather stations | wall, table and floor clocks, weather stations | 10.9% | 12.5% |
| Interior decoration | figurines, jewellery boxes, piggy banks, key holders, stickers, screens, signs | 10.9% | 12.5% |
There are no restricted categories in «Интерьер» (list, PDF). Home textiles — curtains, throws, cushions — are in another branch, and we have a separate article on them: home textiles on Kaspi. Lamps are separate too, see lighting on Kaspi.
Brands: IKEA and others
In the list on Nov 4, 2026 we found IKEA, Zara Home, HOFF, Lefard, Adel Home, 7NEBO HOME, Azala Home and Aia home. Yankee Candle is not in this version. The list gets updated, so check it before every new purchase.
A separate word about IKEA. Many decor sellers bring it from neighbouring countries, buying in retail stores. That doesn't work for Kaspi: documents for a restricted brand are a rights holder letter, a contract, invoices and payment for 90 days, or receipts from the brand's official website in the name of the company head, no older than 60 days (q2618, updated Jul 10, 2026). In all cases it's at least 10 units per brand. Kaspi separately notes that it may not grant access if the goods were bought in unauthorised online stores.
Receipts from an ordinary store are not on this list. If you bring IKEA from retail, you most likely won't get a permission with such documents. We'd build the range around unbranded decor and free brands, and add restricted ones when there's a direct supplier.
What can't be sold and what Kaspi Delivery won't carry
Bans on images and symbols
For paintings, posters and signs there's an important item in the list of prohibited goods (q3904, updated Jan 16, 2026). You can't sell goods with prohibited symbols, obscene text, propaganda of violence and drugs. Or with images that may be seen as disrespectful, offensive or degrading to honour and dignity. A poster with a "funny" caption that seems harmless to you can fall under this item.
The same list prohibits goods for religious rites. Kaspi gives examples — literature, prayer rugs. Whether decor with religious motifs falls under this, Kaspi doesn't specify. We'd first clear such items with support, and only then buy a batch.
Floor clocks, lighters and fragile goods
The list of goods that can't be sent with Kaspi Delivery includes floor clocks and lighters in the «Товары для дома и дачи» section (PDF). Wall and table clocks are not on it. Floor clocks can be sold, but shipped only with your own delivery, see the article own delivery on Kaspi. Lighters for fireplaces and candles won't travel either.
At the end of the same document there's a general addendum: restrictions can apply to fragile goods and goods that need special packaging, to items longer than 3 metres and to bulky items in assembled form. A large framed mirror or an artificial tree taller than a person can fall under this. A drop-off point may also refuse an order if it's bigger or heavier than that point accepts (q3047, updated Jan 22, 2026).
The math: a candle, a diffuser, a clock, a vase, a mirror, a tree
A hypothetical example, not a client case. Purchase and selling prices are made up, taxes are not included. We budgeted packaging for glass with a margin. Delivery is based on Kaspi tariffs from Jan 1, 2026 with 16% VAT (q2288, updated Jun 16, 2026).
| Product | Weight | Destination | Price | 12.5% commission | Purchase | Packaging | Delivery | Left |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Candle in glass | light | any | 4,500 ₸ | 562 ₸ | 2,100 ₸ | 150 ₸ | 231 ₸ | 1,457 ₸ |
| Candle in glass | light | another city | 5,200 ₸ | 650 ₸ | 2,100 ₸ | 150 ₸ | 927 ₸ | 1,373 ₸ |
| Diffuser | up to 5 kg | another city | 9,800 ₸ | 1,225 ₸ | 5,200 ₸ | 150 ₸ | 927 ₸ | 2,298 ₸ |
| Diffuser | up to 5 kg | another city | 10,400 ₸ | 1,300 ₸ | 5,200 ₸ | 150 ₸ | 1,507 ₸ | 2,243 ₸ |
| Wall clock | up to 5 kg | another city | 9,900 ₸ | 1,238 ₸ | 6,500 ₸ | 300 ₸ | 927 ₸ | 935 ₸ |
| Wall clock | up to 5 kg | another city | 11,000 ₸ | 1,375 ₸ | 6,500 ₸ | 300 ₸ | 1,507 ₸ | 1,318 ₸ |
| Set of three posters | up to 5 kg | another city | 12,000 ₸ | 1,500 ₸ | 6,000 ₸ | 500 ₸ | 1,507 ₸ | 2,493 ₸ |
| Glass vase | up to 5 kg | same city | 16,000 ₸ | 2,000 ₸ | 9,000 ₸ | 600 ₸ | 1,275 ₸ | 3,125 ₸ |
| Glass vase | up to 5 kg | another city | 16,000 ₸ | 2,000 ₸ | 9,000 ₸ | 600 ₸ | 1,507 ₸ | 2,893 ₸ |
| Artificial tree | 5–15 kg | another city | 35,000 ₸ | 4,375 ₸ | 21,000 ₸ | 800 ₸ | 1,971 ₸ | 6,854 ₸ |
| Framed mirror | 15–30 kg | same city | 48,000 ₸ | 6,000 ₸ | 30,000 ₸ | 1,500 ₸ | 2,667 ₸ | 7,833 ₸ |
| Framed mirror | 15–30 kg | another city | 48,000 ₸ | 6,000 ₸ | 30,000 ₸ | 1,500 ₸ | 4,175 ₸ | 6,325 ₸ |
The minimum price: (purchase + delivery + packaging) ÷ (1 − rate). A mirror to another city: (30,000 + 4,175 + 1,500) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 40,771 ₸. A vase to another city: (9,000 + 1,507 + 600) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 12,694 ₸.
Where the math breaks
A diffuser at 9,800 ₸ gives 2,298 ₸, and at 10,400 ₸ it gives 2,243 ₸. You raised the price by 600 ₸ and lost 55 ₸. With clocks it's the other way round: at a 6,500 ₸ purchase price, 9,900 ₸ leaves almost nothing, and the step to 11,000 ₸ is worth it. The same threshold works in different directions depending on the markup. So every item has to be calculated, rather than setting a general rule of "keep everything under 10 thousand".
For candles and small decor the line is lower — 5,000 ₸. Below it delivery is 231 ₸, above it 811 ₸ within the city and 927 ₸ to another city. A candle at 4,500 ₸ brings more than at 5,200 ₸ to the regions.
Light and big
The Kaspi tariff depends on weight, not volume. An artificial tree in its box looks huge but weighs 8–10 kg and travels in the 5–15 kg tier: 1,971 ₸ to another city. For decor that's a nice feature. The limit here is not the price but the size: the addendum about bulky goods and the limits of the drop-off point.
Mirrors are the opposite: they're heavy and fragile at once. Packaging with corners, film and a rigid box costs money, and we budgeted 1,500 ₸ for it. Without it there may be no compensation for breakage.
Breakage on the way: packaging and compensation
Kaspi says it directly: if the item is packed incorrectly, compensation for damage in Kaspi Delivery may be refused (q2296, updated Nov 5, 2025). The same page has packaging instructions with general standards. For glass and mirrors we'd read them before the first shipment, not after the first breakage.
If the item is damaged anyway, the amount of compensation depends on the degree of damage (q2306, updated Nov 25, 2025):
- 10% — the item is presentable, but the branded packaging is damaged or missing;
- 30% — the back or side parts are damaged, components are lost;
- 100% — the front is damaged, the item is no longer presentable.
The claim is filed within 10 days within the city and 45 days across Kazakhstan. With 100% compensation the broken mirror has to be kept for a month after you receive the money, to hand it to the courier service, otherwise the compensation may be withdrawn. More on packaging in packaging goods for Kaspi Delivery.
The card, the season and returns
Decor sells through the eyes, and photos matter more than text here. Show the item in an interior and next to an object that makes its size clear. Decor is most often returned because the vase turned out smaller and the poster a different shade. More on that in the article product photos for Kaspi.
The main attributes of a card can't be changed once it's over a month old (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026). Only products with the same brand, category and main attributes are combined in one card (q5146, updated Jul 23, 2026). A 50×70 and a 60×120 mirror are different cards.
A buyer can return a product of proper quality within 14 days if it keeps its presentable condition, and a defective one within 30 days (q2269, updated Sep 21, 2026). A return can't be refused within these periods (clause 4.3 of q1342, updated Sep 30, 2026).
Demand for decor grows towards New Year and March 8, and many people buy it as a gift. If you're preparing the range for the holidays, see the article seasonality of sales on Kaspi.
Common mistakes in selling decor on Kaspi
- They bring IKEA from retail and wait for a permission. A store receipt is not a document for a restricted brand; you need either the rights holder or the official website.
- They buy a batch of posters without reading the captions. One obscene phrase and the item is banned, while the leftovers sit there.
- They hand floor clocks to the drop-off point. Kaspi Delivery doesn't carry them, it's written directly in the list.
- They save on the box for a mirror. Breakage happens, and without packaging according to the instructions there may be no compensation.
- They price the whole range "under 10,000 ₸". It helps the diffuser and hurts clocks with an expensive purchase price.
- They shoot a vase on a white background with no scale. The buyer imagined it taller and returns it.
- They throw away the broken mirror as soon as the money arrives. Kaspi asks to keep it for a month and may withdraw the compensation.
Checklist: home decor on Kaspi
We'd go in this order. Brands and documents first — without them there's no point going further. Then what can't be sold or shipped. And only at the end prices and photos.
- [ ] Every brand found or not found in the latest restricted list.
- [ ] Captions and pictures on posters and signs read with your own eyes.
- [ ] Floor clocks and lighters have own delivery, or they're not in the range.
- [ ] Packaging for glass and mirrors follows the Kaspi instructions and is included in the price.
- [ ] The minimum price calculated with delivery to another city, not your own.
- [ ] Everything priced around 5,000 and 10,000 ₸ calculated on both sides of the threshold.
- [ ] The photos have an object for scale, different sizes are in different cards.
- [ ] Broken goods are kept in the warehouse for a month after compensation.
If the range has more than a hundred items, it's easier to calculate thresholds in a spreadsheet: purchase price, weight, price, and the minimum price formula for two delivery options.
How to automate prices on home decor
Before New Year new sellers come into the card of a popular candle or diffuser, and the price starts jumping. The SaleScout Kaspi bot checks prices from 20 seconds and never goes below the minimum price you set. For glass and mirrors set it with packaging and long-distance delivery in mind, then the bot won't hold the top spot at a loss. When a competitor raises their price or leaves the card, the bot raises yours too. You can try the bot for 7 days free, no card needed.
Frequently asked questions about selling home decor on Kaspi
What commission does Kaspi charge on home decor?
One rate for all of «Интерьер»: 12.5% with VAT, 10.9% without it. Vases, mirrors, candles, clocks — no difference.
Can I sell IKEA on Kaspi?
Only with a permission: the brand is on the restricted list. Kaspi will ask for a rights holder letter with a contract and invoices, or receipts from the official IKEA website, and in any case at least 10 units. Receipts from an ordinary store won't do.
Can I send floor clocks with Kaspi Delivery?
No. Floor clocks are on the list of categories that can't be sent with Kaspi Delivery. Wall and table clocks are not on it.
What should I do if a mirror broke in Kaspi Delivery?
File a claim — you have 10 days within the city and 45 across Kazakhstan. How much you get back depends on what exactly broke: 10, 30 or 100%. If the packaging didn't follow the instructions, you may get nothing.
How do I calculate the minimum price for decor?
Add up the purchase price, delivery and packaging and divide by 0.875. For a vase with a purchase price of 9,000 ₸ to another city: (9,000 + 1,507 + 600) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 12,694 ₸.
Can I sell posters with captions on Kaspi?
Yes, most posters sell without problems. Problems come with swearing, prohibited symbols and pictures that someone may find offensive — Kaspi prohibits those.
Why does a diffuser at 10,400 ₸ bring less than at 9,800 ₸?
It's the delivery. Above 10,000 ₸ Kaspi charges it by weight, and to the regions it costs 1,507 ₸ instead of 927 ₸. A 600 ₸ markup doesn't cover that, and the store gets 55 ₸ less.
