Car chemicals, car care products, motor oils, antifreeze and washer fluid sell on Kaspi at 12.5% with VAT, and there are no restricted categories here. But almost all well-known oil brands are restricted — Castrol, Shell, Mobil, Total, ZIC, Mannol, LIQUI MOLY — and so are the popular chemicals Grass, Hi-Gear, LAVR, SINTEC. Delivery has two quirks in this niche. Kaspi Delivery may not take liquids over 5 litres and some aerosols. And heavy but cheap goods like washer fluid travel at the order-value rate below 10,000 ₸, not by weight, which changes the whole calculation.

- Liquids over 5 litres, flammable liquids and some aerosols may fall under delivery restrictions.
Where car chemicals and oils sit in the Kaspi catalog
Inside «Автотовары» (Auto goods) these products are split into two branches. Chemicals for washing, care and repair are in «Автохимия и автокосметика» (Car chemicals and car care). Oils, antifreeze, brake fluid and additives are in «Масла и технические жидкости» (Oils and technical fluids). Both have the same rate (2026 tariffs, PDF).

Motorcycles and scooters in «Автотовары» are restricted, but chemicals and oils are not (list, PDF). One more detail: Kaspi forbids selling household chemicals in 12- and 24-month instalments, but car chemicals and oils are not on that list (q4659, updated Jun 9, 2026). A buyer can split a 30–40 thousand tenge receipt for oil and filters into instalments.
Brands: almost all oils are restricted
What we found in the list on Nov 4, 2026
Oils: Castrol, MOBIL, SHELL, Total, ZIC, Mannol, LIQUI MOLY, SINTEC and 77 Lubricants. Car chemicals and car care: Grass, Hi-Gear, LAVR. We did not find Turtle Wax, Sonax, Meguiar's, WD-40, Kerry, Runway, ABRO, Doctor Wax, Felix and Astrohim in this version of the list.
That means an "oil for your oil change" store will sell almost nothing without permissions. Detailing chemicals are easier: some brands are free. But the list gets updated, so check every brand before buying, not by our list.
Brand documents
One of three options works (q2618, updated Jul 10, 2026):
- a rights holder letter about the supplier's rights, a purchase contract, invoices and payment for the last 90 days;
- if there's an intermediary between you and the official supplier, a contract with the intermediary and letters from the official supplier and the rights holder;
- a purchase on the brand's official website: receipts in the name of the company head, no older than 60 days, a bank statement, transport documents.
Each option needs at least 10 units per brand. For oils that's no problem, ten canisters is a small batch. The chain is harder: oil often comes through two or three wholesalers, and the letters have to be collected along the whole chain up to the rights holder. For forged documents Kaspi warns of measures up to disconnection from the Store.
Counterfeits and shelf life
The Kaspi terms forbid, in a separate line, selling counterfeits, used goods and goods with an expired shelf life (clause 3.3 of q1342, updated Sep 30, 2026). The list of prohibited goods also includes counterfeits and replicas (q3904, updated Jan 16, 2026).
Counterfeit motor oil does occur on the market, and the brand document check is partly there for that. We wouldn't take oil from a supplier who can't show the chain up to the rights holder, even if the price is noticeably below the market. If a buyer doubts the authenticity, the only thing you have is your invoices.
Shelf life is simpler, but people forget about it. Some chemicals have it printed on the packaging. Leftover stock that sat in the warehouse for a couple of seasons should be checked before you list it again.
The math: washer fluid, oil, antifreeze, shampoo, a kit
A hypothetical example, not a client case. Purchase and selling prices are made up, taxes are not included. Delivery is based on Kaspi tariffs from Jan 1, 2026 with 16% VAT (q2288, updated Jun 16, 2026). Up to 10,000 ₸ delivery depends only on the order total, from 10,000 ₸ on the weight.

The minimum price: (purchase + delivery + packaging) ÷ (1 − rate). 4 L oil to another city: (14,200 + 1,507 + 200) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 18,179 ₸. Four canisters of washer fluid to another city: (6,800 + 4,175 + 400) ÷ 0.875 = 13,000 ₸ — higher than the price they're sold at.
Washer fluid: heavy but cheap
As long as the order is under 10,000 ₸, Kaspi doesn't look at the weight. So a five-kilo canister at 2,900 ₸ travels for 173 ₸, and three canisters at 8,700 ₸ for 927 ₸. Few places carry heavy goods this cheaply.
Then the buyer puts a fourth one in the cart. The total crosses 10,000 ₸, the tariff switches to weight, and 20 kg land in the 15–30 kg tier. To the regions that's 4,175 ₸ of delivery. At a price of 11,600 ₸ the store loses 1,225 ₸ on the order, and even in its own city makes just 283 ₸.
We wouldn't run a "4 for the price of 3" promo across the whole country. A set of three canisters can go into a separate card, and the price of one canister should be set so that a big order doesn't go negative. In winter washer fluid is bought by the case, so it's better to recalculate this in October, not in January.
Oil and antifreeze near the threshold
Antifreeze has the same trap, only smaller. Set it at 9,900 ₸ — 335 ₸ left. Raised it to 10,500 ₸ — 281 ₸ left, because delivery to the regions grew from 927 to 1,507 ₸. Price tags for antifreeze and oil in litre bottles hover right around those 10 thousand, so calculate both sides.
A four-litre canister of oil is calmer: it's under 5 kg and travels for 1,275–1,507 ₸, the gap between city and region is 232 ₸. On a receipt of about 20 thousand that's small. Oil margin is eaten not by delivery but by the price in a card with many sellers. More on that in the article how not to sell at a loss on Kaspi.
Delivering liquids and aerosols
Car chemicals and oils are not on the main list of goods that can't be sent with Kaspi Delivery (PDF). From auto goods it has batteries, tyre sets, body kit sets and car trailers. But at the end of the document there's an addendum, and for this niche it matters more than the list itself. Restrictions can apply to any category if the item is:
- a liquid over 5 litres;
- explosive — Kaspi gives lighters, some kinds of aerosols and flammable liquids as examples;
- fragile or needs special packaging.
A 5-litre canister is right on the line, while 10 and 20 litres are past it. Drums of oil of 20 and 60 litres that car services buy, we'd plan for own delivery from the start. Kaspi doesn't say exactly which aerosols and flammable liquids are restricted. Spray paint, carburettor cleaners, solvents — check on the first order whether the drop-off point accepts it before buying a batch.

Packaging
A leaking canister ruins the neighbouring parcels. Pack the goods following the Kaspi instructions: if you don't, compensation for damage may be refused (q2296, updated Nov 5, 2025). We'd additionally wrap the canister cap with film and put the canister in a bag. If the item is damaged in delivery anyway, the claim is filed within 10 days within the city and 45 days across Kazakhstan (q2306, updated Nov 25, 2025). More in packaging goods for Kaspi Delivery.
The card and returns
For oil the buyer looks at viscosity, car manufacturer approvals, volume and type. The main attributes of a card can't be changed once it's over a month old (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026), and only products with the same brand, category and main attributes can be combined in one card (q5146, updated Jul 23, 2026). 5W-30 and 5W-40 oil, 1 L and 4 L canisters are different cards.
A buyer can return a product of proper quality within 14 days if it keeps its presentable condition (q2269, updated Sep 21, 2026). An opened canister has already lost it. Oil is most often returned because it didn't fit the car, so approvals in the description save the most money.
Common mistakes in selling car chemicals and oils on Kaspi
- A batch of Castrol or ZIC without a permission. You can't create the card, and the oil just sits there. Documents first, then the purchase.
- Oil from a supplier with no document chain. If it's a counterfeit, you're the one who answers for it, and Kaspi prohibits counterfeits.
- "4 canisters for the price of 3" nationwide. The order crosses 10,000 ₸ and travels by weight: to the regions that's −1,225 ₸ in our example.
- Antifreeze at 10,500 ₸ instead of 9,900 ₸. Delivery to another city grows by 580 ₸, and less money is left.
- 20-litre drums through Kaspi Delivery. Liquids over 5 litres may not be accepted.
- A batch of aerosols with no test shipment. Kaspi doesn't say which aerosols are restricted; the first order will show.
- A canister with no film on the cap. A leak — and there may be no compensation if the packaging didn't follow the instructions.
Checklist: car chemicals and oils on Kaspi
Check the brands and only then calculate prices: without a permission the math won't be needed.
- [ ] Every brand checked in the latest list, documents collected along the whole supply chain.
- [ ] Shelf life of leftover stock checked.
- [ ] For heavy but cheap goods, calculated where an order crosses 10,000 ₸.
- [ ] The minimum price calculated with delivery to another city.
- [ ] Containers over 5 litres and aerosols tested with a trial shipment or moved to own delivery.
- [ ] Canisters packed according to the instructions, caps sealed.
- [ ] The oil card has viscosity, approvals, volume; different volumes are different cards.
