Manicure products on Kaspi go at a 12.5% rate including VAT, but half of the section consists of restricted categories. Gel polishes, lamps, machines, removal liquids and sterilisers can't be listed without permission. Files, nippers, brushes and decor can be listed straight away. So a shop selling "everything for nails" runs in two modes. Below is how to separate them, what happens with liquids in delivery, and seven products calculated in tenge.
In short
- A nail file or a 35,000 ₸ machine: the rate is the same, 12.5%, or 10.9% without VAT.
- You can't list gel polish or a lamp without permission, but files and nippers are fine.
- For permission Kaspi will ask for a supplier contract, a waybill, proof of payment and, where the law requires, EAC and state registration.
- Acetone-based remover may run into the rule on flammable liquids.
- A gel polish set at 9,800 ₸ earns more than one at 10,400 ₸ if you ship it to the regions.
What the section covers and what Kaspi charges
In the 2026 tariffs the section is called «Красота и здоровье → Для маникюра и педикюра» ("Beauty and health → Manicure and pedicure") (Tariffs 2026, PDF). We went through all 32 rows and checked them against the list of restricted categories (PDF).

Some rows are borderline. "Stamping polishes and paints" are named in the list, while "Stamping kits" and "Stamping accessories" are not. If a stamping kit contains polish, we wouldn't count on getting through without permission: when you create the card, the seller account shows the application form itself if one is needed. Category permission: what to collect
The application form appears in the seller account when you add a product from a restricted category (q2224). For the "Beauty and health" section Kaspi asks for:
- a supply contract with the supplier or a contract with the manufacturer;
- an EAC certificate or declaration of conformity, in cases set by law;
- a state registration certificate, also where the law requires it;
- a waybill and proof of payment for the goods.
In practice the hold-up is usually the contract. Gel polishes are often bought in small wholesale lots, at a market or from a supplier you know, without a contract. Without paperwork the application won't be approved. If you're just starting, we'd build the first batch from files, nippers and decor, which need no permission, and arrange a contract for gel polishes and lamps in parallel.
Brands
The restricted brands list as of Nov 6, 2026 includes STRONG and Zinger. Manicure machines and tools are sold under these names, but the list doesn't say which manufacturer is meant. If your order includes these brands, brand permission may be needed on top of category permission. Documents per q2618: a rights holder letter or purchase contract, waybills and payment for 90 days, at least 10 units.
Bans and shipping liquids
Samples and used goods
Kaspi bans goods intended for free distribution and gives its own example: cosmetics samples (q3904, updated Jan 16, 2026). Mini bottles of gel polish marked "not for sale" fall under this. Used goods are banned too: a machine from a salon that closed down can't be sold, even if it's almost new.
Acetone, aerosols and glass
We didn't find a separate manicure line in the document on goods that can't be sent with Kaspi Delivery (PDF). But at the end of the document there's a general rule: restrictions may apply to explosive goods (flammable liquids and certain aerosols are named there), to liquids over 5 litres and to fragile goods that need special packaging.
Acetone-based gel polish remover, alcohol-based degreasers, spray disinfectant and one-litre salon canisters can easily fall under this. Gel polishes come in glass bottles. We'd send the first order of each such item as a trial and see whether it's accepted. If not, use your own delivery, as in the article my delivery on Kaspi.
The math: seven products and the 10,000 ₸ threshold
This is a hypothetical example, not a client case: we made up the prices and purchase costs and did not count taxes. Tariffs are from q2288 (updated Jun 16, 2026), in force from Jan 1, 2026, with 16% VAT added.
Almost everything in manicure is light, so the order amount rule applies. Up to 3,000 ₸ you pay 173 ₸ for delivery; from 5,000 to 10,000 ₸ to the regions it's 927 ₸. From 10,000 ₸ weight counts, and a parcel up to 5 kg to another city costs 1,507 ₸.

The price below which you lose money: (purchase cost + delivery + packaging) ÷ (1 − rate). For a lamp to the regions that's (7,200 + 1,507 + 200) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 10,179 ₸. For the machine: (22,000 + 1,507 + 300) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 27,208 ₸.
A set at 9,800 or at 10,400
We raised the set by 600 ₸ and got 55 ₸ less. Delivery rose by 580 ₸ and commission by 75 ₸. For the threshold to pay off, the price had to go up to at least 10,470 ₸. We'd keep sets either below 10,000 ₸ or go straight to a pricier kit with 18 or 24 colours, where the markup clears those 600 ₸ with room to spare.
One gel polish means many small orders
A gel polish at 2,900 ₸ leaves 1,005 ₸. Not bad for a bottle, but the order has to be picked, wrapped in bubble wrap and labelled. If fifty such orders go out a day, packaging becomes a cost line of its own. We allowed 60 ₸ per bottle, but with glass and film yours may be higher, so work out your own figure.
The "base + top + colour" bundle works well. Three bottles at 2,900 ₸ make an 8,700 ₸ order. Delivery is 811 ₸ in your city and 927 ₸ to the regions, but you pay it once, not three times. Packaging is single too. If competitors don't have such a bundle in their card, you also avoid a price war with a dozen shops selling the same bottles one by one. Just make sure the bundle doesn't cross 10,000 ₸ by a hundred or two tenge.
Lamp and machine: where money is lost
The 12,500 ₸ lamp is the most vulnerable item in the table. The minimum price is 10,179 ₸, leaving a buffer of about 2,300 ₸. Dozens of shops sell the same lamp model, and the card price moves often. If you set the minimum price based on your own city, where delivery is 1,275 ₸, lamps going to the regions will lose money, and you'll only notice it in the payouts.
The parcel locker, technicians and large orders

Manicure is a rare niche where almost the whole range fits a parcel locker. The smallest XS cell is 94×189×452 mm, the next one, S, is 94×438×452 mm (q2915, updated Jul 23, 2024). Gel polish, files and nippers fit in XS. A lamp usually goes into M or L. A machine with a pedal and an extractor depend on the box; sometimes a courier delivers them. The buyer can pick up the order in the evening after her shift, and you get fewer unhappy calls about delivery times.
Technicians who buy a lot
Some buyers are salon nail technicians. They order 20–30 bottles at once and then write: "can I have five more of these?" Kaspi bans changing the quantity in an order without the buyer's consent and listing goods that are out of stock, except on pre-order (q1342). So stock for each shade has to be honest. If a popular colour has run out and the delivery is a week away, it's better to switch the card to pre-order than to accept an order and then ask to cancel it. The product card, returns and damage
Gel polish is searched by shade, volume and brand, a lamp by power and type. Main characteristics can't be changed once the card is more than a month old (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026). Shades of one series can be merged if the brand, category and main characteristics match (q5146, updated Jul 23, 2026). That's more convenient than forty separate cards for forty colours.
Return periods are 14 days for a good-quality item that still looks new and 30 days for a faulty one (q2269, updated Sep 21, 2026). An opened gel polish no longer looks new. If an item comes back with signs of use, the seller can refuse, and the buyer may dispute the refusal within 3 days (q2277).
A bottle broken in transit is grounds for a claim: 10 days for city delivery and 45 across Kazakhstan (q2306, updated Nov 25, 2025). But compensation may be refused if packaging was improper, so it's better not to ship glass without protective film.
Common mistakes when selling manicure products
- Gel polishes without category permission. The card gets stuck in moderation, the batch waits in the warehouse.
- Buying "at the market" without a contract. Without a supply contract Kaspi won't grant permission.
- "Not for sale" mini bottles. Kaspi explicitly bans samples.
- A machine from a salon. Used goods can't be sold on Kaspi.
- A litre of acetone liquid in Kaspi Delivery without checking. Flammable liquids may not be accepted.
- A 600 ₸ markup across the 10,000 ₸ threshold. The shop gets less than before the increase.
- Forty separate cards for forty shades. The buyer sees one, the rest get lost in search.
Checklist before launching manicure products
Split your range into two parts, with and without permission, and go through the list for each.

- [ ] Contract with the gel polish and lamp supplier signed.
- [ ] STRONG and Zinger brands checked in your order.

- [ ] Glass wrapped in film, packing recorded on video.
- [ ] Prices of sets near 10,000 ₸ recalculated with delivery.
- [ ] Minimum price for lamps and machines calculated using delivery to the regions.
- [ ] Shades of one series merged into one card.
