Kaspi sells routers, switches and other network equipment at a 12.5% rate including VAT, and no category permission is needed. Brand permission, however, is needed, and that covers almost every best-selling brand: TP-LINK, Huawei, ASUS, Xiaomi. Without documents you simply can't list a router from the most popular manufacturer. The second issue is pricing around 10,000 ₸. A 9,900 ₸ router ships to the regions for 927 ₸, while at 10,900 ₸ it costs 1,507 ₸. We went through what to check before buying stock and worked out eight items.

- From a patch panel to a server, Kaspi takes 12.5%, or 10.9% without VAT.
- Almost all popular router brands are on the restricted list: TP-LINK, Huawei, ASUS, Xiaomi.
- ALTEL modems are restricted too, even though ALTEL is a mobile operator.
- Kaspi bans equipment that receives operators' signals without a licence.
- A heavy server rack costs 6,553 ₸ to ship to the regions, and that has to be built into the price.
What the section covers and what Kaspi charges
In the 2026 tariffs this is «Компьютеры → Сетевое оборудование» ("Computers → Network equipment") (Tariffs 2026, PDF). We counted 15 subcategories, and the rate doesn't differ between them.

Brands: almost nothing works without documents
We open the list of restricted brands (PDF) as of Nov 6, 2026 and find TP-LINK, Huawei, ASUS, Xiaomi. If you planned to start with "the best-selling routers", you'll have to start with paperwork. ALTEL is there as well. Modems and routers for mobile internet are sold under this name, so sellers of 4G kits should check their items.
What Kaspi accepts (q2618). If your supplier buys from the brand's official representative: a rights holder letter, a purchase contract, plus waybills and payment for the last 90 days. If there's an intermediary between you, add a letter from the official supplier. If you buy on the brand's official website: electronic receipts in the name of the company head, goods in your warehouse, less than 60 days since purchase. In every case, from 10 units per brand.
Ten routers isn't much. Ten servers is more serious, and for expensive items we would first look at brands that aren't on the list. The application process is in the article brand restrictions on Kaspi. Permission is issued per brand, not per model, so one set of documents covers both routers and repeaters of the same brand. If you have three brands, you'll need three sets, each with its own ten units in stock. We would start with the brand whose full paperwork the supplier already has.
What is banned outright
Receiving signals without a licence
Kaspi's list of prohibited goods has a point on TV and radio broadcasting equipment with the note «если принимают сигнал операторов без лицензии» ("if they receive operators' signals without a licence") (q3904, updated Jan 16, 2026). The tariffs do include a «Спутниковый интернет» ("Satellite internet") subcategory, which means such goods can be sold. But if a kit's description promises to "pick up" someone else's signal for free, it falls under the ban. We would keep descriptions strictly to the technical specs and promise the buyer nothing about other people's networks.
Used goods and demo units
Used goods, fakes and replicas are banned under the same point. The seller rules separately say that unpacked goods used for demonstration may not be sold (q1342). A router that sat switched on in a display case for six months is exactly that case. Servers and switches "written off from an office" won't work either.
The math: eight items and the 10,000 ₸ threshold
This is a hypothetical example, not a client case. We made up the prices and purchase costs and did not count taxes. Tariffs are from q2288 (updated Jun 16, 2026), in force from Jan 1, 2026, with 16% VAT added.
While the receipt is under 10,000 ₸, delivery depends on the amount: up to 3,000 ₸ it's 173 ₸, and from 5,000 to 10,000 ₸ to the regions it's 927 ₸. From 10,000 ₸ Kaspi charges by weight. A box up to 5 kg costs 1,275 ₸ within the city and 1,507 ₸ to the regions. A 45 kg rack falls into the 30–60 kg band: 3,363 ₸ within the city and 6,553 ₸ to the regions.

Minimum price: (purchase cost + delivery + packaging) ÷ (1 − rate). Wi-Fi 6 router to the regions: (8,400 + 1,507 + 150) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 11,494 ₸. Server rack to the regions: (112,000 + 6,553 + 2,000) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 137,775 ₸.
Why the threshold works the other way here
With carpets or drawing kits, crossing 10,000 ₸ often eats the markup. With the router in our example it went differently: we raised the price from 9,900 to 10,900 ₸, and the shop kept 296 ₸ more. A thousand tenge of markup covered both the 580 ₸ rise in delivery and 124 ₸ of commission. The takeaway is simple: a price step across the threshold must be well above 580 ₸. Two or three hundred tenge on top loses money here; a thousand already makes it.
A router to the regions brings in almost nothing
Look at the 12,900 ₸ Wi-Fi 6 router. Within the city the shop keeps 1,463 ₸, to the regions 1,231 ₸. The minimum price for the regions is 11,494 ₸, so the buffer is only about 1,400 ₸. In a card with a dozen sellers that buffer disappears in a couple of days of price war. If you calculate the minimum price for your own city, a bot or a manager will happily go down to a level where every order to Aktobe loses money.
The server rack and weight
A 45 kg rack is a large item: for Kaspi that's anything longer than 70 cm on any side or heavier than 20 kg (how to pack an item, PDF). Large items need five-layer corrugated cardboard and a separate waybill for each piece. The gap between city and regions here is 3,190 ₸, which is noticeable money even at a 160,000 ₸ price. Before the first shipment, check whether the nearest drop-off point accepts that weight; you can see it on the map by tapping the point (q3047, updated Jan 22, 2026).
The parcel locker and multiple pieces
Routers are luckier than racks: the box usually fits a parcel locker cell. The medium M cell is 196×438×452 mm, the large L is 296×438×452 mm (q2915, updated Jul 23, 2024). That's convenient for buyers, who pick up the order whenever they like. Measure rack-mount switch boxes too: long models may not fit a cell, and then a courier delivers to the door.
A three-unit Mesh system usually comes from the manufacturer in one box, which is one piece. But if you assemble a bundle yourself (a router, a repeater and cables from different boxes), each part is packed separately with its own waybill. You enter the number of pieces (q3043, updated Aug 22, 2024). It's easy to get this wrong in the warehouse on a Friday evening: one waybill, three boxes, and the drop-off point won't take the order. It's simpler to sell ready-made kits or one box per order.
The product card, returns and damage
Routers are chosen by Wi-Fi standard, speed, number of ports and bands. The model and main characteristics can't be changed once the card is more than a month old (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026). Get the router revision wrong, and after a month there's nothing to fix, only a new card. Variants of one model can be merged if the brand, category and main characteristics match (q5146, updated Jul 23, 2026).
Returns are the usual: 14 days for a working item that still looks new and 30 days for a faulty one (q2269, updated Sep 21, 2026). Routers get returned a lot: "it doesn't cover my flat". If an item comes back with signs of use, the seller can refuse, and the buyer may dispute the refusal within 3 days (q2277). Keep a photo of the full kit before dispatch: the power adapter and cable go missing first.
If the box is damaged during Kaspi Delivery, a claim is filed within 10 days for city delivery and 45 days across Kazakhstan (q2306, updated Nov 25, 2025). Compensation is 10%, 30% or 100%. A lost power adapter falls under 30%: «утеряны комплектующие» ("components lost").
Common mistakes when selling network equipment
- Bought a batch of TP-LINK and only then went for permission. The stock sits while you collect letters and 90 days of waybills.
- Didn't check ALTEL modems. This brand is on the restricted list too.
- A satellite kit promising to "catch everything". Kaspi bans equipment for receiving operators' signals without a licence.
- A demo router from the stand. The rules ban selling unpacked demonstration units.
- A 200 ₸ markup across the 10,000 ₸ threshold. Delivery to the regions rises by 580 ₸, and you get less than before the increase.
- A minimum price based on your own city. For orders to the regions, the Wi-Fi 6 router already loses money at 11,300 ₸.
- A server rack in a thin box. With improper packaging, compensation for damage may be refused.
Checklist before launching routers and switches
We'd go through this list before paying for stock, because half the items depend on the supplier.
First, brands. Check your whole order against the list, especially TP-LINK, Huawei, ASUS, Xiaomi and ALTEL, and ask the supplier in advance for the letters, contract, and waybills with payment for 90 days.

Popular router cards have a dozen sellers, and prices there move several times a day.
