SaleScout feature guide · Per-order quantity limit
Per-order quantity limit on Kaspi — do not let one order clear your whole stock
Kaspi shows a buyer as many units as you allow in one order. After every sale SaleScout puts the item back on sale.
EXAMPLE · ONE PRODUCT
Press “Place order” and see how many units a buyer can take at once.

Who needs a per-order quantity limit
It is for you if
You do not want one buyer to take all of the stock.
You have few units and want more buyers to get one.
More orders with fewer units in each matters more to you.
Ten units in stock: one order or ten
Switch the mode and compare. The numbers are an example.
RESULT
1 order, warehouse empty
The first buyer took everything. The rest see “out of stock” until your next delivery.
RESULT
10 orders of 1 pc
Every buyer takes one unit. After each sale SaleScout puts the item back on sale until the warehouse runs out.
How the quantity limit works in Kaspi
Kaspi has no “maximum units per order” setting. That is why SaleScout shows Kaspi not your whole stock but only the allowed quantity. The product gets two numbers.
IN SALESCOUT
Real stock
How many units you actually have. Kept in SaleScout and reduced with every order.
IN KASPI
No more than the limit
The buyer sees the limit, or less if that is all that is left. Once the stock hits zero, the item is pulled from sale in this warehouse. In other warehouses it stays if there is stock there.
- You restocked or sold elsewhere
- Update the stock in SaleScout manually. While the limit is on, SaleScout does not take stock from Kaspi: only the limit is visible there.
- An order was cancelled or returned
- The stock will not come back on its own. Add the units back manually, otherwise the item will be pulled from sale before it runs out.
- The store was paused
- Check the stock after you resume. While the store is stopped or the subscription is inactive, orders do not reduce the stock in SaleScout.
- You work through an XML integration
- The real stock comes from your XML file, and the limit applies to it.
- Several warehouses
- The limit works in each warehouse separately.
- No stock set
- SaleScout treats it as unlimited and always shows the limit. The item will not be pulled from sale when it actually runs out. Set the stock before turning the limit on.
How to turn on the per-order quantity limit
The feature is free. The setting is configured per product.
Turn the feature on
Go to “Features” → “Per-order quantity limit” → “Connect”. It is free.
Check the stock
SaleScout must hold the real stock for the product. If it is empty, the item will not be pulled from sale when it runs out.
Open “Warehouses”
Turn on “Per-order quantity limit”.
Set the quantity
That is how many units a buyer can put in one order.
SaleScout does the rest by itself
After each order it reduces the real stock (fix cancellations and returns manually) and puts the item back on sale in Kaspi.
FAQ about the per-order quantity limit
Click a question to see the answer
Why is the stock in Kaspi lower than what I have in the warehouse?
That is the limit at work. Kaspi has no “maximum units per order” setting, so SaleScout shows Kaspi not your whole stock but only the allowed quantity. The real stock is kept in SaleScout.
I restocked. What should I do?
Update the stock in SaleScout manually. While the limit is on, SaleScout does not take stock from Kaspi. The same goes for items sold on another marketplace. With an XML integration the stock comes from your file.
Can a buyer get more by placing several orders?
Yes. This is a limit per order, not per buyer. Once SaleScout puts the item back on sale, the same buyer can place another order. The feature stops someone buying everything in one order, but it does not replace a “one per customer” limit.
Why did the item disappear for a moment after a purchase?
Right after an order SaleScout sets the limit again. Until the update reaches Kaspi, the item may briefly look out of stock.
An order was cancelled or returned. Will the stock come back?
No, not on its own. Add the units back in SaleScout manually, otherwise the item will be pulled from sale before it actually runs out.
What if a product has no stock set?
SaleScout treats it as unlimited and always shows the limit in Kaspi. The item will not be pulled from sale when it actually runs out. Set the stock before turning the limit on.
Does it work together with “Pre-order when out of stock”?
The limit wins. If the warehouse runs out while both features are on, the item is pulled from sale and does not go to pre-order.
I have several warehouses. How does the limit work?
Per warehouse: the limit is shown for each warehouse separately.
How much does the per-order quantity limit cost?
It is free. Works for Kaspi only.
Let your stock spread across different orders
Free. “Features” → “Per-order quantity limit” → “Connect”, then “Warehouses” → “Per-order quantity limit” → quantity.
