Kaspi sells rods, reels, line, fish finders, ice augers, boats, tents and burners at 12.5% including VAT. Almost all of it is allowed, but there are two hard bans: synthetic fishing nets with a small mesh and anything that resembles a weapon. - «Спорт, туризм → Товары для рыбалки» (Sport, tourism → Fishing goods) and «Туризм и отдых на природе» (Tourism and outdoor recreation) are charged 10.9% excluding VAT and 12.5% including VAT, from hooks to outboard motors.
- Synthetic nets with a mesh under 100 mm and a thread thinner than 0.5 mm are banned on Kaspi outright.

What the category includes and what Kaspi charges
In Kaspi's 2026 tariffs, fishing has its own second-level section, «Товары для рыбалки» (Fishing goods), inside «Спорт, туризм» (Sport, tourism). It contains rods and tips, reels and spools, line and leaders, hooks, lures and jigs, feeders, fish finders, underwater cameras, ice augers with drills and blades, sleds, boats, inflatable boats, oars, outboard motors and their parts, life jackets, and fishing clothing and footwear. Next to it is «Туризм и отдых на природе» (Tourism and outdoor recreation): tents and awnings, camping furniture and stoves, camping cookware, gas cartridges for burners, binoculars, machetes and cooler bags. The rate is the same everywhere: 10.9% excluding VAT, 12.5% including VAT (2026 tariffs, PDF).
That makes the maths easy: there are no "expensive" subcategories here like those for accessories or cases. What eats the margin here is the weight and length of the parcel, not the commission.
Permission: where Kaspi's rules diverge
What the Guide says
On the restricted categories page, Kaspi describes the document package in one line for «Детские товары, аптека, спорт, туризм» (Children's goods, pharmacy, sport, tourism). It includes a supply contract, an EAEU certificate or declaration, a state registration certificate where the law requires one, an invoice and payment documents (q2224, updated Oct 5, 2026). The form appears in the seller cabinet by itself when you add a product from a restricted category.
What the list says
But in the PDF list of restricted categories, under the heading «Спорт, туризм», there are only sports nutrition (protein, BCAA, gainers, creatine and the like) and airsoft guns (list, PDF). Rods, tents and boats are not there.
How to read this in practice: the cabinet decides. If no permission form appeared when you added a spinning rod, the item is open. But it is better to keep the contract, invoice and payment proof at hand from day one — then the form, if it does appear, will take an evening rather than a week. Brands
The list of restricted brands we opened on Nov 2, 2026 includes Norfin and Columbia. Shimano, Daiwa, Salmo, Tramp and Coleman do not appear there. For a restricted brand, Kaspi asks for a letter or contract with the rights holder, or invoices and payment for the last 90 days covering at least 10 units (q2618, updated Jul 10, 2026). Norfin winter suits, for example, cannot be listed without these papers.
What you cannot sell
An angler's or camper's range crosses Kaspi's list of banned goods in three places (q3904, updated Jan 16, 2026).

Oddly enough, machetes have their own line in Kaspi's tariffs, next to camping stoves. So a large knife as such is not banned; weapons are. Where the line runs is decided not by the seller or Kaspi but by the product's documents. Ask your knife supplier for a paper stating that this is a household knife, not a bladed weapon, and get it together with the first batch.
Gas cartridges for burners are also in the tariffs. The question with them is not a ban but whether the drop-off point will accept the parcel: Kaspi's acceptance rules that we read say nothing about gas. Ask at your drop-off point once, before the first order.
Oil for two-stroke outboard motors is a separate story. From February 1, 2026, under order 199-НҚ, motor oils are subject to marking (adilet, G26TI000199, version on the portal of Sep 9, 2026). On Kaspi, outboard oil sits in fishing, but for marking the card's category does not matter. What matters is the HS (TN VED) code, so check it against the lines of the list. Delivery: long, heavy, seasonal
Rods and the Postomat
A Kaspi Postomat (parcel locker) has four cell sizes, all 452 mm deep. The largest, L, is 296 × 438 × 452 mm (q2915, updated Jul 23, 2024). A rod in a transport tube is almost always longer. Kaspi says that if an item is larger than the largest cell, the courier will contact the buyer and deliver the order to their hands. State the transport length in the product card: a buyer expecting a Postomat will be less surprised by a courier's call if they read it beforehand.
Reels, line, lures and fish finders, on the contrary, fit nicely into S and M cells. This is the easiest part of the range to ship.
Boats, ice augers, tents
Each drop-off point has its own size and weight limits, shown on the map of points. Cargo above the limit will not be accepted (q3047, updated Jan 22, 2026). A PVC boat in a bag and an outboard motor are separate pieces. If you sell them as a set, each box needs its own waybill, and the number of pieces is stated when packing the order (q3043, updated Aug 22, 2024).
An ice auger with exposed blades will cut through its own box and the neighbouring parcel somewhere between Almaty and Pavlodar. Put the standard cover on the blades and wrap the drill in cardboard. Kaspi may refuse compensation if the packing does not follow the instructions (q2296, updated Nov 5, 2025).
Season
Ice augers, winter tents and sleds sell during a few months of the year, boats and tents during others. Kaspi does not publish how demand changes by season, so look at your own order history in the cabinet. Stock that did not sell during the season sits until the next one, and that is money, not just warehouse space.
The math: from fishing line to a boat
Illustrative example, not a client case. Purchase costs, prices, weight and packing are made up; taxes are not included. Delivery is Kaspi's tariff from Jan 1, 2026 plus 16% VAT (q2288, updated Jun 16, 2026). Up to 10,000 ₸ the delivery cost depends on the order amount, from 10,000 ₸ on weight.

Minimum price: (purchase cost + delivery + packing) ÷ 0.875. For a boat to another city: (98,000 + 4,175 + 500) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 117,343 ₸. For a spinning rod: (11,000 + 1,507 + 400) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 14,751 ₸.
Small items and sets
One spool of line at 2,200 ₸ leaves 852 ₸. Three spools as a set for 6,300 ₸ bring 1,885 ₸, even though the order is already in the 5,000–10,000 ₸ tier and delivery to another city has risen to 927 ₸. That is more than two single orders, and you pack one parcel instead of three. For line, hooks and lures, a set almost always pays better than a single item.
The boat's weight
A 25 kg boat is in the 15–30 kg tier. If you add a pump and oars to the box and the weight goes over 30 kg, the tier changes to 30–60 kg: 3,363 ₸ within the city and 6,553 ₸ to another city. The product card: what anglers and campers look for
Key attributes tie the product to the card, and after a month they cannot be changed (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026). For a rod these are length and casting weight, for a reel its size, for line its diameter and spool length, for a tent the number of people. A 2.4 m and a 2.7 m spinning rod of the same series are different cards and cannot be merged (q5146, updated Jul 23, 2026).
A tent buyer wants to know the packed weight, the fly's waterproof rating in millimetres and how many minutes it takes to pitch. An ice auger buyer wants the drill diameter and blade compatibility. The manufacturer has these figures. If they are not in the card, the question will come to the chat, and some buyers will simply go to the next seller. Returns: a store on Kaspi cannot refuse an exchange or return of goods of proper quality within 14 calendar days if the goods have kept their presentation (clause 4.3 of q1342, updated Sep 30, 2026). A tent that was pitched at a dacha and folded back already raises the question of presentation. Discuss it calmly and with photos.
Common mistakes when selling fishing and camping gear
- A fine-mesh net in the range. Synthetic nets under 100 mm with thread thinner than 0.5 mm are banned, no options here.
- A knife without a document saying it is not a bladed weapon. Kaspi does not allow weapons and items similar to them.
- The rod's transport length is not stated. The buyer expects a Postomat and gets a courier's call and questions instead.
- A boat with a pump and oars heavier than 30 kg. Delivery to another city rises from 4,175 to 6,553 ₸.
- Line sold one spool at a time for 2,200 ₸. A set of three brings 1,885 ₸ from a single parcel.
- A "boat + motor" set as one piece. The second box may not be accepted without a separate waybill.
- Winter goods bought at the end of the season. The leftovers sit for almost a year, and they have already been paid for.
Checklist: fishing and camping on Kaspi

- [ ] Knives and machetes have a supplier document stating they are not bladed weapons.
- [ ] Brands are checked against the list, and there are papers for Norfin and Columbia.
- [ ] The contract, invoices and payment proof are ready in case a permission form appears.
- [ ] The transport length of rods is stated in the card.
- [ ] Sets are weighed, the 30 kg threshold checked.
- [ ] A boat and motor ship as separate pieces with separate waybills.
- [ ] The minimum price of heavy goods is calculated at the tariff to another city.
Gas cartridges and outboard oil have no item on the list, because the answer does not depend on you. Acceptance of cartridges is clarified by the drop-off point, oil marking by the HS code. Get both answers before putting these items on sale.
