Kaspi sells sockets, switches, circuit breakers, RCDs, cable and extension cords in the «Строительство, ремонт → Электрика» (Construction and repair → Electrical) section at 12.5% including VAT, with no category permission. The difficulty lies elsewhere: almost everything here falls under certification by TR CU 004/2011, and cheap small items near the 3,000 ₸ threshold easily slide to zero. Let's look at which documents are needed for what, how a 22 kg cable coil travels and where the minimum price sits for a 1,400 ₸ socket.
In short
- «Электрика» (Electrical) is charged 10.9% excluding VAT and 12.5% including VAT. It is not on the list of restricted categories.
- Sockets, switches, extension cords, cable, circuit breakers and RCDs are listed in the annex to TR CU 004/2011 as products that undergo certification.
- Under TR CU 020/2011, a plain socket, cable and a breaker without electronics are excluded from the regulation. A breaker or RCD with electronic control is not.
- A 1,400 ₸ socket leaves you 402 ₸. A set of five for 6,500 ₸ shipped to another city brings 1,511 ₸.
- A 22 kg cable coil costs 4,175 ₸ to deliver to another city and 2,667 ₸ within the city.
What «Electrical» includes and what Kaspi charges
In Kaspi's 2026 tariffs, «Электрика» is a subcategory of «Строительство, ремонт» (Construction and repair). It covers sockets, switches, frames and back boxes, circuit breakers and RCBOs, relays and contactors, building cables and wires, cable channels, corrugated conduit and trays, junction boxes, terminals and insulating tape, extension cords and adapters, and electricity meters. The rate everywhere is 10.9% excluding VAT, 12.5% including VAT (2026 tariffs, PDF).
Voltage stabilizers are not in «Электрика» in the tariffs but in «Компьютеры → ИБП и стабилизаторы» (Computers → UPS and stabilizers), at the same rate. Lamps and light fixtures are a separate topic, which we covered in the article how to sell lighting on Kaspi.
The section is not on the list of restricted categories (q2224, updated Oct 5, 2026; list, PDF). Schneider Electric, Legrand, IEK, EKF, Makel, Viko and Lezard do not appear in the version of the brand list we opened on Nov 2, 2026. If a restricted brand appears in your range, Kaspi will ask for a letter from the rights holder or invoices with payment for the last 90 days covering at least 10 units (q2618, updated Jul 10, 2026).
Certificates: two regulations, different answers
TR CU 004/2011: almost everything
The low-voltage equipment regulation applies to products rated 50–1,000 V AC and 75–1,500 V DC. A 220 V socket falls under it. The annex to the regulation, the list of products that undergo certification, explicitly names wiring accessories, extension cords, cables, wires and cords, circuit breakers and residual current devices, as well as power distribution equipment (TR CU 004/2011).
In other words, for «Electrical» a 004/2011 certificate is the norm, not the exception. A declaration will not do here: the annex specifies certification.
TR CU 020/2011: depends on the electronics
The electromagnetic compatibility regulation lists in Annex 1 what it does not cover. That list includes cables and wires, plugs, sockets, fuses, switches and circuit breakers without active electronic components (TR CU 020/2011). An ordinary mechanical socket and a classic breaker are not tested under 020/2011.
But Annex 3 of the same regulation names circuit breakers and RCDs with electronic control, voltage stabilizers and power supplies. These need certification under 020/2011.

The table is a guide based on the text of the regulations, not a legal opinion. An extension cord with USB ports already contains a power supply, and that is a separate line in both regulations. A smart socket with a radio module is not "without active electronic components" either. If in doubt, send the product's data sheet to a certification body before you buy stock.
Counterfeits
Kaspi bans counterfeits and replicas together with used goods (q3904, updated Jan 16, 2026). In electrical goods it is also a safety issue: a breaker "just like a well-known brand" with the same part number at half the price is a reason to check the supplier, not a reason to celebrate the margin. The buyer puts it in the distribution board of their own apartment.
Delivery: small items, extension cords and coils
The 3,000 ₸ threshold for small items
Up to 10,000 ₸, Kaspi calculates delivery by order amount: up to 1,000 ₸ it is 57 ₸, from 1,000 to 3,000 ₸ it is 173 ₸, from 3,000 to 5,000 ₸ it is 231 ₸, from 5,000 to 10,000 ₸ it is 811 ₸ within the city and 927 ₸ to another city. The figures are the tariff from Jan 1, 2026 plus 16% VAT (q2288, updated Jun 16, 2026).
For electrical goods this means a single socket, breaker or switch almost always sits in the 1,000–3,000 ₸ tier. Delivery there is cheap, but the margin in absolute terms is small too. More on this in the calculation below.
A cable coil
From 10,000 ₸ the tariff depends on weight. A 100-metre coil of VVG 3×2.5 weighs about 22 kg in our example and falls into the 15–30 kg tier: 2,667 ₸ within the city, 4,175 ₸ to another city. Half a coil of 50 m, about 11 kg, is already in the 5–15 kg tier: 1,565 ₸ and 1,971 ₸.
A coil does not fit into a Kaspi Postomat (parcel locker): the largest cell is 296 × 438 × 452 mm (q2915, updated Jul 23, 2024). A courier will deliver it to the buyer's hands. Before shipping, check the size and weight with the drop-off point, as each has its own limits (q3047, updated Jan 22, 2026). It is worth covering the film on the coil with cardboard or a bag: Kaspi may refuse compensation if the packing does not follow the instructions (q2296, updated Nov 5, 2025).
The math: a socket, a set, cable
Illustrative example, not a client case. Purchase costs, prices, weight and packing are made up; taxes are not included. Delivery is Kaspi's tariff from Jan 1, 2026 plus 16% VAT (q2288).

The minimum price is calculated with the formula (purchase cost + delivery + packing) ÷ 0.875. For a socket: (650 + 173) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 941 ₸. For a cable coil to another city: (88,000 + 4,175 + 300) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 105,686 ₸.
The socket: where the point ends
A 1,400 ₸ socket leaves 402 ₸, and that is before tax and before your time spent packing the order. A minimum price of 941 ₸ means the cushion above zero is only 459 ₸. If there are five sellers in the product card (the single shared listing for that item on Kaspi) and each cuts the price by 50 ₸, after a few steps the socket sells for almost nothing.
A set changes the picture. Five sockets for 6,500 ₸ bring 1,627 ₸ within the city — four times more than one, with one package and one trip to the drop-off point. A buyer renovating an apartment needs several anyway. Sets like "5 sockets + 3 switches + frames" answer that better than selling by the piece.
Cable: weight decides
Half a coil and a full coil differ by more than double the price. 50 m at 11 kg sits in the tier up to 15 kg, and delivery to another city is 1,971 ₸, or 3.4% of the price. 100 m at 22 kg costs 4,175 ₸, or 3.6%. The difference is small, but with a 31 kg coil the tier changes to 30–60 kg: 3,363 ₸ within the city and 6,553 ₸ to another city. Weigh heavy-gauge cable before you set the price. The product card and returns
Key attributes tie the product to the card, and after a month they cannot be changed (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026). For a breaker these are the rated current, number of poles and tripping curve. For cable — the type, cross-section, number of cores and length. A C16 and a C25 breaker are different cards, and so are 3×1.5 and 3×2.5 cable (q5146, updated Jul 23, 2026).
Imagine the card is opened by an electrician assembling a distribution board on site. They need exact figures, not "quality cable". State the core cross-section, conductor material, current and voltage in the description, and show the marking on the cable sheath or the breaker housing in the photos.
Returns: a store on Kaspi cannot refuse an exchange or return of goods of proper quality within 14 calendar days of purchase if the goods have kept their presentation (clause 4.3 of q1342, updated Sep 30, 2026). A piece cut off a coil or a breaker that was installed in a board and has screwdriver dents already raises the question of presentation. Sell cable in whole coils or fixed lengths, and disputed returns will become rarer.
Common mistakes when selling electrical goods on Kaspi
- No TR CU 004/2011 certificate. Sockets, cable, extension cords and breakers are in the regulation's annex; without a certificate the product should not reach the shelf.
- An RCD with electronics listed as a simple breaker. It also needs a 020/2011 certificate.
- Sockets one at a time. One leaves 402 ₸, a set of five brings 1,627 ₸ from a single parcel.
- A coil heavier than 30 kg priced like a light one. Delivery to another city rises from 4,175 to 6,553 ₸.
- An extension cord with USB and no documents for the power supply. It is a different product, with different requirements.
- Cable cut to order "as much as you need". Such goods cannot be returned as new, and a dispute with the buyer is almost inevitable.
- No cross-section or current in the card. An electrician will not buy cable "for wiring" without figures.
Checklist: electrical goods on Kaspi
- [ ] Every item has a TR CU 004/2011 certificate.
- [ ] RCDs, RCBOs with electronics and stabilizers also have a 020/2011 certificate.
- [ ] Smart sockets and extension cords with USB have been checked separately.
- [ ] Brands have been checked against the restricted list.
- [ ] Small items are bundled into sets, prices checked at the 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 ₸ thresholds.
- [ ] The weight of heavy-gauge cable is known, the 30 kg threshold checked.
- [ ] The minimum price of heavy items is calculated at the tariff to another city.
- [ ] The card has the cross-section, current, voltage and a photo of the marking.
It is worth rereading the first item before every new purchase. A certificate is issued for specific products from a specific manufacturer, and a new supplier of the same "16 A breaker" means a new document, even if the box looks the same.
