Kaspi sells printers, MFPs, cartridges, toners, laminators and shredders at 12.5% including VAT, and the category needs no permission. Brands do: HP, Canon, Epson, Pantum and Xerox are on the restricted list. The trickiest part is cartridges. A compatible cartridge under its own brand can be sold, but a cartridge with the HP logo that HP didn't make is a fake, and Kaspi bans it. And a number to start with: an original cartridge at 28,000 ₸ bought for 21,500 ₸ leaves you 1,393 ₸, while a compatible one at 4,800 ₸ leaves 1,869 ₸.

- There are no restricted categories there, but most printer brands are restricted.

Where office equipment sits in the catalog and what the rate is
We went through the office equipment branch in the 2026 tariffs (2026 tariffs, PDF), and the rate is the same in all subcategories.

Brands: where a permission is needed
Who is on the list
We looked at the list on Nov 3, 2026. Among printer brands it has HP, Canon, Epson, Pantum and Xerox. We did not find Brother, Kyocera or Ricoh in this version. The list changes, and it's worth checking before every purchase.
An important detail that's often forgotten. The restriction applies to the brand, not just the printers themselves. Original HP cartridges are also HP brand goods, and they need the same permission.
Documents
Kaspi accepts one of two options (q2618, updated Jul 10, 2026). A letter or contract with the rights holder or its official supplier. Or invoices and payment documents for the last 90 days covering at least 10 units of the brand.
With cartridges the second route is quite doable: ten original cartridges are not ten MFPs. Kaspi may request documents again, and forged ones can lead to disconnection from the Store.
Compatible, original, fake and refilled
Where the line is
In Kaspi's banned goods list, fakes and replicas are on the same line as used goods (q3904, updated Jan 16, 2026). For cartridges this means the following.

Compatible cartridges are a normal market. The buyer needs a cartridge for their model, and calmly takes a third-party one if the card clearly says which printers it fits. Problems start when a supplier wants to "sell it as original".
Refilled cartridges
The tariffs have a «Перезаправляемые картриджи» (Refillable cartridges) subcategory. Judging by the name, these are cartridges designed for the buyer to refill themselves. Shells collected after someone else's use and refilled are another matter. We didn't find a separate Kaspi rule about them, but used goods are banned. We wouldn't list such shells on Kaspi and would offer refilling separately, outside the marketplace.
The math: cartridges, a laminator, a shredder, MFPs
A hypothetical example, not a client case. Purchase prices and selling prices are made up, taxes are not included. Delivery is based on Kaspi tariffs from Jan 1, 2026 plus 16% VAT (q2288, updated Jun 16, 2026). Below 10,000 ₸ delivery depends on the order amount, from 10,000 ₸ on the weight. An inkjet MFP and a shredder weigh 5–15 kg, a laser MFP 15–30 kg.

Minimum price: (purchase + delivery + packaging) ÷ (1 − rate). For a laser MFP to another city: (126,000 + 4,175 + 800) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 149,686 ₸. For an original cartridge: (21,500 + 1,507 + 100) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 26,408 ₸.
Original versus compatible
Look at the first three rows again. The original cartridge costs six times more than the compatible one, yet brings less per order. Most sellers have a thin markup on originals, and the 12.5% commission eats almost all of it. On originals you earn turnover, on compatibles you earn money. That doesn't mean originals aren't needed: offices often buy only them. But each item has to be calculated separately.
The 5,000 ₸ threshold
A cartridge at 4,800 ₸ ships anywhere for 231 ₸. List it at 5,200 ₸, and delivery to another city is already 927 ₸. The price went up by 400 ₸, but you keep 346 ₸ less. Compatible cartridges cluster right around this amount, so keep the threshold in front of your eyes. More on tiers in the article how not to sell at a loss on Kaspi.
Laminators and shredders
People usually think of them last, and wrongly so. A laminator at 21,000 ₸ in our example leaves 3,168 ₸, a shredder at 48,000 ₸ leaves 6,729 ₸. That's more than an original cartridge that costs more than the laminator. They're bought by offices, schools and copy centers, that is, the same people who buy cartridges from you.
A shredder has its own quirk: it's heavy for its size, and the box easily goes into 5–15 kg. Weigh it before setting the price. And in the description state what people ask first: how many sheets it cuts at once, whether it cuts staples and plastic cards, how big the bin is. Without that, the buyer compares only the price.
Heavy MFPs
A laser MFP at 15–30 kg brings 1,508 ₸ less to another city than within the city. For an inkjet at 5–15 kg the difference is only 406 ₸. So calculate the minimum price for laser machines using long-distance delivery, otherwise regional orders will quietly bring less than you think.
The card, compatibility and returns
The list of printer models
For a cartridge the main attribute is which printers it works with. Key attributes tie a product to its card, and after a month you can't change them (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026). Color and yield too. Black and color cartridges, standard and high-capacity, are different products and aren't merged into one card (q5146, updated Jul 23, 2026).
Write the list of compatible printer models in full, not "for most HP printers". The buyer searches by their model number. If the number isn't in the card, they go to someone who has it, or buy at random and then return it.
Packaging
A toner cartridge that leaked in the box ruins the whole order. Don't open the factory bag, and put filler in the outer box. Pack a printer in its factory box with foam. Kaspi may refuse compensation if the packaging doesn't follow the instructions (q2296, updated Nov 5, 2025). Damage claims are accepted within 10 calendar days within the city and 45 across Kazakhstan, compensation is 10%, 30% or 100% (q2306, updated Nov 25, 2025). A boxed cartridge easily fits into the XS Kaspi Postomat locker, 94 × 189 × 452 mm (q2915, updated Jul 23, 2024).
Returns
A store cannot refuse an exchange or return of a product of proper quality within 14 calendar days if its presentation is preserved (clause 4.3 of q1342, updated Sep 30, 2026). A cartridge whose protective tape was torn off and that was put into a printer has already lost its presentation. So the most useful thing you can do is describe compatibility so well that it never comes to a return. Printers displayed in a showroom for demonstration can't be sold as new on Kaspi under clause 3.2 of the same terms.
Common mistakes when selling office equipment on Kaspi
- A cartridge with the HP logo from an unknown factory. It's a fake, and Kaspi bans it.
- Original cartridges without a brand permission. The restriction covers the whole brand, not just printers.
- A refilled used shell as new. Used goods can't be sold on Kaspi.
- A compatible cartridge at 5,200 ₸. Delivery to another city grows to 927 ₸, and you keep 346 ₸ less than at 4,800 ₸.
- "For most printers" instead of a model list. The buyer doesn't find their model or returns the cartridge.
- Black and color in one card. They're different products.
- A laser MFP with a minimum price based on city delivery. A regional order brings 1,508 ₸ less.
Checklist: office equipment on Kaspi
- [ ] The brand is checked against the latest list, including original consumables.
- [ ] Documents for a restricted brand are collected.
- [ ] Compatible cartridges carry their own brand, without other companies' logos.
- [ ] No refilled used shells in the range.
- [ ] Cartridges aren't priced just above 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 ₸.
- [ ] The card has the full list of printer models, color and yield.
- [ ] The minimum price for MFPs is calculated by weight and long-distance delivery.
- [ ] Toners are packed in the factory bag and an outer box.
One thing beyond the list. Offices often order the same thing every month. If your cartridge is at the top of the card on the day accounting runs out of toner, the repeat order is almost certainly yours. And if another seller is there that day, the office will happily buy from them and next time won't remember who it bought from before. The buyer's habit forms around the card, not the store.
