How to sell TVs and audio equipment on Kaspi: brands that need a permission, certificates and delivery of large screens

How to sell TVs and audio equipment on Kaspi: brands that need a permission, certificates and delivery of large screens

The «ТВ, Аудио, Видео» (TV, Audio, Video) category itself is open on Kaspi: a 12.5% commission including VAT, and no separate permission for the section. The brands are what is closed. Sony, Xiaomi, Philips, JBL, Hisense, TCL, Haier, Artel, Huawei, Marshall and Skyworth can only be sold with documents from the rights holder or a supplier. Below: which papers to collect, how not to lose your margin shipping a TV to another city, and where the tariff steps fall for headphones.

In short

  • TVs, soundbars, speakers, headphones and projectors go at 10.9% without VAT and 12.5% with VAT. The exception is headphone cases: 13.5% and 15.5%.
  • The permission is needed for the brand, not the category. Buying a batch on the brand's official website and getting a permission that way will not work: Kaspi has closed this route for «TV, Audio, Video».
  • TVs and active speakers are certified under TR CU 004/2011 and 020/2011. Passive headphones and speakers without an amplifier are excluded from the scope of 020/2011.
  • A 55-inch, 17 kg TV costs 4,175 ₸ to ship to another city and 2,667 ₸ within the city. On a 260,000 ₸ price that is a 1,508 ₸ difference.
  • Receivers that pick up operators' signals without a license cannot be sold at all.

What the category includes and how much Kaspi takes

In Kaspi's 2026 tariffs, the «TV, Audio, Video» section combines TVs, wall mounts, projectors and screens, soundbars, home theaters, speakers, amplifiers, receivers, headphones, portable speakers, vinyl players, microphones, media players, antennas and TV boxes. Almost everywhere the rate is 10.9% without VAT, or 12.5% with VAT (2026 tariffs, PDF).

One subcategory stands out. «Чехлы для наушников» (Headphone cases) cost 13.5% without VAT and 15.5% with VAT. On a 3,500 ₸ case the commission comes to 542 ₸ instead of 438 ₸. A small thing, but if you sell headphones and cases for them in pairs, calculate them separately and do not carry the headphone rate over to the accessory.

The rate in the tariffs is tied to the subcategory, so after moderation look in the seller dashboard and check where the case card ended up. If it landed in «Headphone cases», calculate your margin at 15.5%.

Brands: where a permission is needed and what to collect for it

Who is not freely available

Kaspi's list of restricted brands has many names from this category: Sony, Xiaomi, Philips, JBL, Hisense, TCL, Haier, Artel, Huawei, Marshall, Skyworth, Polaris (list, PDF). Samsung and LG are not on the version of the list we opened on Nov 2, 2026. The list changes, so check it before every new purchase, not once a year.

The «TV, Audio, Video» category itself is not on the list of restricted categories (q2224, updated Oct 5, 2026). A card for a TV of a little-known brand can be created without separate papers.

Which documents are needed for a brand

Kaspi accepts one of two packages (q2618, updated Jul 10, 2026):

If you What to upload
Are an official distributor or work with the rights holder A letter or contract with the rights holder
Buy from a supplier Invoices and payment documents for the last 90 days, at least 10 units of the brand

With the second option, everything comes down to volume. Ten pairs of JBL headphones in three months is no problem, but ten Hisense TVs is already a noticeable purchase for a small store. For your first application, it is better to pick a brand you already have turnover in.

Why the brand's website will not help

Kaspi has a separate caveat. For the categories «Телефоны» (Phones), «Бытовая техника» (Home appliances), «TV, Audio, Video», «Компьютеры» (Computers) and «Красота и здоровье» (Beauty and health), a permission is not issued if the product was bought on the brand's official website (q2618). A receipt from Xiaomi's online store will not work in the application. You need a supplier with invoices or a contract with the rights holder.

Fakes and «replicas» are banned separately, together with used goods (q3904, updated Jan 16, 2026). Kaspi does not allow headphones «like the original» under someone else's brand with any documents.

Certificates: what the technical regulation requires

TVs, soundbars, active speakers

The annex to TR CU 004/2011 on low-voltage equipment lists the products that go through certification. It includes «audio and video equipment, TV and radio broadcast receivers» (TR CU 004/2011). The regulation applies to equipment from 50 to 1,000 V AC and from 75 to 1,500 V DC. A TV plugged into a socket falls under it; battery-powered headphones do not.

TR CU 020/2011 on electromagnetic compatibility names the same audio and video equipment in Annex 3, and active speaker systems separately (TR CU 020/2011). They also need certification.

What is excluded from the regulation

Annex 1 to TR CU 020/2011 lists the technical equipment the regulation does not apply to. It includes headphones and loudspeakers without an amplifier, as well as passive antennas. Wired headphones without electronics and passive bookshelf speakers pass by 020/2011. Wireless headphones and a Bluetooth speaker do not: they contain an amplifier and a radio module.

Product TR CU 004/2011 TR CU 020/2011 What to ask the supplier
TV, projector certification certification Two EAEU certificates
Soundbar, home theater certification certification Two EAEU certificates
Portable speaker with a battery usually not, low voltage certification as active speakers Certificate under 020/2011
Wireless headphones usually not check, they contain an amplifier Document under 020/2011 or a letter from the body
Wired headphones without electronics no does not apply Product passport
Passive antenna, passive speakers no does not apply Product passport

The table is a guide based on the text of the regulations, not a legal opinion. A power supply or charger in the box changes the picture: separate 004/2011 requirements apply to them. In doubt, ask a certification body before the purchase, not after the first inspection.

Receivers and set-top boxes

Kaspi bans goods «for TV and radio broadcasting» if they receive operators' signals without a license (q3904). An ordinary Smart TV box or an over-the-air DVB-T2 receiver does not fall under this wording. But a box that the supplier advertises as «all paid channels for free» definitely does. Do not copy such descriptions, even from the supplier's card.

Delivery: a TV will not fit into a Postomat

Cell sizes

Kaspi Postomat has four cell sizes. All of them have the same depth — 452 mm (q2915, updated Jul 23, 2024):

Cell Height Width Depth
XS 94 mm 189 mm 452 mm
S 94 mm 438 mm 452 mm
M 196 mm 438 mm 452 mm
L 296 mm 438 mm 452 mm

Headphones, a speaker and even a compact soundbar in a box up to 45 cm fit there. A TV with a diagonal from 32 inches does not fit into any cell. Kaspi says that in that case a courier will contact the buyer and deliver the order in person. For you this means one thing: the buyer will see the box in front of the courier and open it right there. A broken panel will be noticed immediately.

Drop-off point and packaging

Each drop-off point has its own size and weight limits, which are visible on the map. A parcel over the limit will not be accepted (q3047, updated Jan 22, 2026). Check a 65-inch TV box against your chosen point before you promise the buyer it ships today.

Kaspi may not compensate damage if the packaging does not follow its instructions (q2296, updated Nov 5, 2025). A factory TV box with foam is a good base, but the corners and the screen side are worth covering with another layer of cardboard and marking «Fragile», «This side up». Details in the article packaging goods for Kaspi Delivery.

If the screen gets broken

A claim to Kaspi Delivery is filed within 10 calendar days for in-city delivery and 45 for delivery across Kazakhstan. Compensation is 10%, 30% or 100% depending on the damage. A deformed body or a damaged front part gives 100%, but the product must be kept for a month after the payout (q2306, updated Nov 25, 2025). A crack in the panel is the front part. The TV cannot be sold after that, so do not throw it away until the period has passed.

The math: what is left from a cable, headphones and a TV

This is a hypothetical example, not a client case. Purchase prices, retail prices, weights and packaging are made up, and taxes are not included. Delivery follows Kaspi tariffs from Jan 1, 2026 plus 16% VAT (q2288, updated Jun 16, 2026). Up to 10,000 ₸, the delivery cost depends on the order amount; from 10,000 ₸, on weight.

Product Price Commission Purchase Packaging Delivery What's left
HDMI cable 2,990 ₸ 374 ₸ 1,300 ₸ 0 ₸ 173 ₸ 1,143 ₸
Headphone case, 15.5% rate 3,500 ₸ 542 ₸ 1,200 ₸ 0 ₸ 231 ₸ 1,527 ₸
Wireless headphones, to another city 7,990 ₸ 999 ₸ 4,200 ₸ 100 ₸ 927 ₸ 1,764 ₸
Speaker up to 5 kg, to another city 24,000 ₸ 3,000 ₸ 15,500 ₸ 150 ₸ 1,507 ₸ 3,843 ₸
Soundbar 6 kg, to another city 85,000 ₸ 10,625 ₸ 61,000 ₸ 600 ₸ 1,971 ₸ 10,804 ₸
TV 32", 7 kg, to another city 75,000 ₸ 9,375 ₸ 56,000 ₸ 1,200 ₸ 1,971 ₸ 6,454 ₸
TV 55", 17 kg, within the city 260,000 ₸ 32,500 ₸ 205,000 ₸ 2,500 ₸ 2,667 ₸ 17,333 ₸
TV 55", 17 kg, to another city 260,000 ₸ 32,500 ₸ 205,000 ₸ 2,500 ₸ 4,175 ₸ 15,825 ₸

The minimum price formula is the same as everywhere: (purchase + delivery + packaging) ÷ (1 − commission rate). At 12.5% the divisor is 0.875. For a 55-inch TV going to another city: (205,000 + 4,175 + 2,500) ÷ 0.875 ≈ 241,914 ₸. Below this price, every order is at a loss even before taxes.

What the table shows

A TV brings the most money per order, but it also carries the most risk. One broken panel with 30% compensation instead of 100% will eat the net profit from several TVs sold. So on TVs it is worth keeping a buffer above the minimum price of at least the cost of one extra packaging.

Headphones are interesting for a different reason. There 1,764 ₸ is left, and the delivery step depends on the price. If you raise the price from 7,990 ₸ to 10,200 ₸, delivery to another city grows from 927 ₸ to 1,507 ₸: the order moves to the weight grid. Kaspi counts it from 10,000 ₸. A 2,210 ₸ increase in price will give you 1,354 ₸ more, not 2,210 ₸.

The 3,000 ₸ threshold for cables

A 2,990 ₸ cable ships for 173 ₸. The same cable at 3,100 ₸ falls into the 3,000–5,000 ₸ step with 231 ₸ delivery. The price is 110 ₸ higher, delivery is 58 ₸ more expensive, the commission is 14 ₸ more, and in the end only 38 ₸ more is left. Cables, adapters and wall mounts should be priced either below 3,000 ₸ or sold as a set noticeably above the threshold. More on how not to go into the red in the article how not to sell at a loss on Kaspi.

The product card: what electronics buyers ask

Key attributes tie a product to its card, and a month after the card is created they can no longer be changed (q3554, updated Feb 23, 2026). For a TV these are the diagonal, resolution, model year and color. 50 and 55 inches of the same series are different cards, and they cannot be merged (q5146, updated Jul 23, 2026).

There are three questions that are better answered with photos before the first order. Which languages are in the menu and which apps can be installed. Whether a wall mount is included. Which ports are on the back panel. A shot of the menu screen, the box contents and the ports answers this faster than a chat. How to reply quickly — in the article chat with buyers on Kaspi.

Returns

A store on Kaspi cannot refuse a buyer an exchange or return of a product of proper quality within 14 calendar days after purchase if its presentation is preserved (clause 4.3 of the terms, q1342, updated Sep 30, 2026). If the buyer agreed to a repair, no more than 10 calendar days are given to fix the defects. A quality examination cannot be carried out at the buyer's expense, and it can last up to 30 days (clauses 4.4–4.5). The same document bans selling unpacked goods that stood on display (clause 3.2). A demonstration TV from the sales floor cannot be listed on Kaspi as new.

Common mistakes when selling TVs and audio on Kaspi

  1. A card for a restricted brand without a permission. Such a brand cannot be sold without a permission, and the application is filed in advance. Check the list before the purchase.
  2. A permission application with a receipt from the official website. For «TV, Audio, Video» Kaspi does not accept this route, and the time spent on the application is lost.
  3. A headphone case at the headphone rate. The real commission is 15.5%; on a 3,500 ₸ case that is a 104 ₸ difference on every order.
  4. A headphone price just above 10,000 ₸. Delivery to another city grows from 927 to 1,507 ₸, and almost a third of the increase goes to it.
  5. One minimum price for a TV within the city and to the regions. On 55 inches the delivery difference is 1,508 ₸; calculate the minimum price at the long-distance tariff.
  6. A TV without a second layer of packaging. If the packaging does not follow the instructions, Kaspi may not pay for breakage, and that is the whole 205,000 ₸ purchase price.
  7. A «free paid channels» description. Kaspi directly bans receivers that pick up a signal without a license.

Checklist: TVs and audio equipment on Kaspi

  • [ ] The brand is checked against the restricted list; if it is there, you have a letter from the rights holder or invoices with payment for 90 days for 10+ units.
  • [ ] TVs, soundbars and active speakers have certificates under TR CU 004/2011 and 020/2011.
  • [ ] Cases and accessories are calculated at their own rate, not the rate of the main product.
  • [ ] The minimum price of large equipment is calculated at the «to another city» tariff.
  • [ ] Prices of small items are checked around the 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 ₸ thresholds.
  • [ ] The TV box is checked against the drop-off point's limits.
  • [ ] Each diagonal has its own card, and the photos show the menu and box contents.
  • [ ] The description has no promises of «free channels».

Two points are worth explaining. A video of packing the TV with the date and time is the main argument in a dispute about a broken panel, both with the buyer and with delivery. And keep display samples off Kaspi entirely: the rule on demonstration goods is worded without exceptions.

How to automate electronics prices

Cards for popular headphones and TVs can have many sellers, and first place there can be decided by a difference of a few hundred tenge. The SaleScout Kaspi bot checks prices from 20 seconds and never goes below the minimum price you set. For TVs it makes sense to set it at the delivery tariff to another city. When a competitor raises their price or leaves the card, the bot raises yours too. You can try the bot for 7 days free, no card needed.

Frequently asked questions about selling TVs and audio equipment on Kaspi

What commission does Kaspi charge on TVs and headphones?

12.5% including VAT, or 10.9% without VAT. This applies to TVs, soundbars, speakers, headphones and projectors. Headphone cases are the exception: 15.5% including VAT.

Do I need a permission to sell TVs on Kaspi?

For the category, no. For the brand, yes, if it is on the restricted list: Sony, Xiaomi, Philips, JBL, Hisense, TCL, Haier, Artel and others are there. You need a letter or contract with the rights holder, or invoices and payment for 90 days for at least 10 units.

Can I get a brand permission by buying equipment on its official website?

No. For «TV, Audio, Video», phones, home appliances, computers and «Beauty and health», Kaspi does not accept this method. You need a supplier with documents or a contract with the rights holder.

Can I sell a display TV on Kaspi?

Not as new. Kaspi's terms ban selling unpacked goods that were used for demonstration to buyers, and used goods are banned separately.
