How to Pause Sales on Kaspi: Disabling a Warehouse, Holiday Schedule and What Happens to Your Metrics

How to Pause Sales on Kaspi: Disabling a Warehouse, Holiday Schedule and What Happens to Your Metrics

The Kaspi.kz Store has no separate "pause" button: you pause sales by disabling the warehouse your products are sold from. For a day or two, the warehouse holiday schedule is enough; individual items can be taken off sale; and the only way to leave completely is «Завершить сотрудничество» ("End partnership") in Kaspi Pay. Below: which method fits which situation, what it means for your quality metrics, and how to calculate what each day of downtime costs.

In short

  • Kaspi itself names disabling a warehouse as the way to pause sales. In the app this is «Выключить склад» ("Turn off warehouse"); in the web cabinet it is switching the status from «Активен» ("Active") to «Отключен» ("Disabled").
  • If you leave and the warehouse stays on, orders you did not accept in time or could not ship become cancellations through your fault. The "Bad" threshold is 3%, and with 360 orders in 30 days that is just 11 cancellations.
  • The cost of a pause takes one line: days × orders per day × profit per order. In a hypothetical example, ten days with the warehouse off cost 216,000 ₸ in lost profit but leave your metrics untouched.
  • A partial pause is often better than a full one: take bulky items off sale and keep what a helper can ship.
  • Kaspi does not publish how a pause affects your place in the product card after you return. Plan on re-checking prices after the pause.

Four ways to pause sales

Disable a warehouse

This is the main method, and the Kaspi Guide (Kaspi's official help center) describes it exactly this way: to pause sales, disable the warehouse your products are sold from (q3040, updated Mar 28, 2025).

  • In the Kaspi Pay app: Kaspi.kz Store → Settings. If you have more than three warehouses, tap «Все склады» ("All warehouses"), pick the one you need, tick «Выключить склад» and save.
  • In the web cabinet: Other → Settings → Warehouses, choose the warehouse and switch the status from «Активен» to «Отключен».

The same setting is used when a warehouse has closed for good: a disabled warehouse stops appearing in the list of your addresses (q2710, updated Mar 3, 2025). If you have several warehouses, you can switch off one city and keep selling from another.

Holiday schedule

For short breaks, the right tool is not disabling but «Расписание в праздники» ("Holiday schedule"). In the app: Kaspi.kz Store → Settings → Holiday schedule → «Добавить праздничные дни» ("Add holidays"), pick the day and tick «Выходной день» ("Day off"). In the web cabinet the path is the same, via Other → Settings (q2787, updated Mar 28, 2025).

Kaspi describes this setting only for holidays, but technically it is a warehouse day off on a specific date. It works when you close for Nauryz, for a relative's wedding on Saturday or for a stock-take day. For a week of vacation it is easier to switch the warehouse off entirely than to fill the calendar one day at a time.

Order acceptance schedule

A separate setting covers the days and hours when you want to receive orders. In the app: Settings → Work schedule; in the web cabinet: Settings → General information → «График работы» ("Work schedule") (q4997, updated Jul 3, 2026). This is not a pause but a permanent schedule. Still, if you have, say, stopped working on Sundays, it is better to change the schedule than to switch the warehouse off every week.

Take products off sale

When you are pausing part of your range rather than the whole store, leave the warehouse alone. In the app you take a product off sale via the three dots → «Снять с продажи» ("Take off sale"); in the web cabinet, with the delete icon or by ticking boxes and pressing «Снять с продажи». There is also a price-list route: in the uploaded file, mark which points the product is out of stock at. Within 15 minutes the item stops showing to buyers and moves to the «Сняты с продажи» ("Off sale") tab (q3445, updated Mar 28, 2025). From there you can put it back on sale or delete it.

Summary

Method Where to switch it on Suitable period What matters
Turn off warehouse Settings → warehouse from a few days to months stops all products of that warehouse
Holiday schedule Settings → Holiday schedule 1–3 specific dates set day by day
Order acceptance schedule Settings → Work schedule permanent changes your routine, not a pause
Take off sale Products → three dots any selected items only, 15 minutes to update
End partnership Kaspi Pay → Services → Settings permanently disconnects Kaspi Pay entirely

What happens to orders that have already arrived

Accepted before the pause

The Kaspi Guide does not describe what happens to orders already placed when you switch the warehouse off. Assume you have to complete them: pack them, hand them to Kaspi Delivery (Kaspi Доставка) or give them to the buyer. A cancellation you make yourself because you are leaving will count toward your cancellations-through-your-fault metric.

So the warehouse is switched off not on the morning you leave but in advance, with time left for packing. Check which orders are sitting in «Новые» ("New"), «Упаковка» ("Packing") and «Передача» ("Handover"), and close them before you log out of the cabinet.

When the pause is not yours

Sometimes Kaspi itself pauses your sales. Among the reasons a product is taken off sale there is «Работа вашего магазина частично ограничена» ("Your store's operation is partially restricted"): such a store is unblocked automatically, the date is shown in the cabinet, and while sales are paused you can still hand over orders and process returns (q3679, updated Aug 13, 2026). The same list has a less obvious reason: if you are not taking part in a Kaspi.kz Store promotion or Kaspi Жұма, and participation is restricted for you, your products move to «Сняты с продажи» until the promotion ends and then return on their own.

If your store was restricted over metrics or violations, that is a different story. What to do in that situation is covered in the article on a blocked store on Kaspi.

Why you can't just leave with the warehouse switched on

Where cancellations come from

Kaspi counts cancellations through your fault for three reasons: the product is out of stock, you did not deliver on time, and you did not accept the order in time (q2249, updated Feb 25, 2026). A warehouse that is switched on with nobody at the cabinet produces the third reason all by itself: an order arrives, nobody accepts it, it gets cancelled.

The thresholds are strict. Under 1% cancellations is "Excellent" or "Good", 1% to 3% is "Normal", 3% to 10% is "Bad" with 14 days to fix it, and 10% or more is "Very bad", where your rating drops to 3 stars and the store does not get into the top 3 of the product card (q4620, updated Feb 25, 2026). A detailed breakdown with a table of allowed cancellations is in the article on order cancellations on Kaspi.

Stock levels as a soft pause

Kaspi requires stock levels from sellers who joined the Store after October 21, 2025, or whose metrics are at "Bad" or below. Those who joined earlier and stay at "Normal" or above may skip stock levels, but then they must take a product off sale themselves when it runs out; otherwise orders will have to be cancelled with the reason «Нет в наличии» ("Out of stock") (q4239, updated Nov 7, 2025).

There is a useful detail here. If there turn out to be more buyers than units in stock, Kaspi cancels the extra orders itself, and this does not affect your metrics (q3745, updated Dec 27, 2024). In other words, an honest stock level protects you better than an "endless" warehouse. Before a short absence it makes sense to cut stock levels to what a helper can actually ship. How to keep stock in order is covered in the article on stock levels on Kaspi.

What a pause costs: a calculation

The formula

A pause is not free, but it is not a disaster either. The cost is calculated like this:

Cost of a pause = days of pause × orders per day × net profit per order

Profit per order is what remains after the purchase price, Kaspi's commission, delivery and tax. How to calculate it to the tenge is in the article on how not to sell at a loss on Kaspi.

Three scenarios for ten days

Hypothetical example, not a client case. Assumptions: the store gets 12 orders a day, net profit is 1,800 ₸ per order, and the owner leaves for 10 days. We take a 30-day window for the cancellation rate at the same 12 orders a day, i.e. 360 orders.

Scenario Orders in 10 days Cancellations through your fault Profit in 10 days What happens to metrics
A. Warehouse off 0 0 0 ₸ no change
B. Everything open, helper ships 9 orders out of 10 120 12 194,400 ₸ 12 ÷ 360 = 3.33%, status "Bad"
C. 60% of the range open, everything shipped 72 0 129,600 ₸ no change

Scenario A costs 216,000 ₸ in lost profit: 10 × 12 × 1,800. Scenario B is the most profitable on paper, but twelve cancellations push the store into "Bad", and 14 days later «Мой Магазин» ("My Store") and external advertising in «Маркетинг» ("Marketing") will be switched off. To stay under 3% with 360 orders, you can have no more than ten cancellations, and you have almost certainly had some before the vacation already.

Scenario C is the compromise. The helper ships only what is at hand and packs in a minute, while bulky items and made-to-order positions are taken off sale. You lose 86,400 ₸ instead of 216,000 ₸, and your metrics are untouched.

A nuance that is often missed

A helper cannot be "you" in the cabinet. Kaspi's rules do not allow sharing your login and password; you need separate employee access. How to grant it and what rights a manager has is covered in the article on a store manager on Kaspi. Without that, scenario C turns into scenario B.

Which method to choose

One to three days

The holiday schedule for specific dates. You do not touch the warehouse or the range. Before that, check whether any orders have a handover deadline that falls on your day off.

One to two weeks

If nobody can ship, switch the warehouse off in advance. If you have a helper, work by scenario C: take off sale what they cannot pack and cut the stock levels. When it works and when it does not: a partial pause is good when most of the profit comes from small fast-moving items. If nearly all the money comes from two bulky items the helper cannot lift, it is simpler to switch the warehouse off.

Pausing in one city

If you have several warehouses, switch off only the one where nobody can work. Sales from the other city will continue. Keep in mind that delivery speed affects your place in the product card (the single shared listing where all sellers of an item compete): the seller with the fastest delivery is always shown in the top 3 (q3190, updated Jun 15, 2026). Buyers in the city of the disabled warehouse will get their orders more slowly, and some items may drop down the list.

Leaving for good

You can fully disconnect from the Store only by ending your partnership with Kaspi Pay: in the app, Services → Settings → «Завершить сотрудничество» (q3040). This is not a pause. Kaspi Pay is closed entirely in that case, including accepting payments at an offline point if you have one. If you want to come back in a couple of months, a disabled warehouse is the safer option.

For comparison: a seller whom Kaspi disconnected over poor metrics gets 30 days to hand over all orders and collect cancelled and returned goods, after which the cabinet is deactivated, while accepting payments through Kaspi Pay remains (q4677, updated Feb 2, 2026).

Coming back after a pause

Kaspi does not publish how a pause affects your position in the product card after you return. What is known: your place in the seller list is determined by seller bonuses (Kaspi's cashback points), price, rating, reviews and delivery speed (q3190). Over ten days, competitors have almost certainly moved their prices, and your old price may turn out to be above or below the market.

The order of actions on return is simple. Switch the warehouse on, check stock, then go through prices in your key product cards. A price in the Store updates within 15 minutes of a change (q2234, updated Sep 28, 2026), so the first orders may come in at the old price if you start by switching the warehouse on and fix prices later. It is safer to update prices and stock first and switch the warehouse on last.

Common mistakes when pausing sales on Kaspi

  • Leaving with the warehouse switched on. Unaccepted orders are cancelled through your fault. With 360 orders in 30 days, the eleventh cancellation pushes the store into "Bad", which means 14 days until "My Store" and external advertising are switched off.
  • Switching the warehouse off on the day you leave without closing orders. Orders in "Packing" and "Handover" still have to be shipped. If you did not make it and cancelled them yourself, these are the same cancellations through your fault.
  • Confusing a pause with "End partnership". The second button disconnects Kaspi Pay entirely. Coming back means going through onboarding again, not flipping one switch.
  • Leaving "endless" stock to a helper. When a product runs out, orders keep coming, and you have to cancel them with the reason "Out of stock". An honest stock level in the cabinet lets Kaspi cancel the extra orders itself, with no harm to your metrics.
  • Giving the helper your password. This breaks Kaspi's rules, and if something goes wrong, you are the one answerable. You need separate employee access.
  • Switching the warehouse on before updating prices. A price takes up to 15 minutes to update. While it is old, the first orders may come in below market, or you may sit below competitors who raised prices during your pause.
  • Setting holidays for a whole month. The setting is day by day, and it is easy to miss one date in the calendar. For a long pause, switch the warehouse off.

Checklist: a pause on Kaspi without harming your metrics

  1. The cost of the pause is calculated: days × orders per day × profit per order.
  2. The method is chosen: holidays, warehouse off or a partial pause.
  3. All orders in "New", "Packing" and "Handover" are closed before the warehouse is switched off.
  4. If a helper is working, they have their own employee access, not your password.
  5. Items the helper cannot pack are taken off sale.
  6. Stock levels are cut to what will actually be shipped.
  7. You have checked how many cancellations through your fault are already in the calculation window.
  8. On return: prices and stock first, then the warehouse.
  9. A couple of days after returning, your positions in key product cards are checked.

Item seven matters more than it seems. If you already have five or six cancellations in the window, there is almost no room left for a vacation, and any scenario with the warehouse switched on is riskier than it looks in the table.

How to automate pricing after a pause

The most unpleasant thing after you return is product cards where everything has shifted in a week. The SaleScout Kaspi bot (a repricing bot) checks prices every 20 seconds, keeps you at the top of the product card and never goes below the minimum price you set. When a competitor raises their price or leaves the card, the bot raises your price to just below the next seller. The bot also works on Halyk Market. You can try it free for 7 days, no card needed.

Frequently asked questions about pausing sales on Kaspi

How do I temporarily pause sales on Kaspi?

Disable the warehouse your products are sold from. In the Kaspi Pay app: Kaspi.kz Store → Settings → warehouse → «Выключить склад». In the web cabinet: Other → Settings → Warehouses, status «Отключен».

Can I close my Kaspi store for a day or two?

Yes. For specific dates there is the "Holiday schedule": pick the day and tick «Выходной день». You do not need to switch the warehouse off.

What happens if I leave without switching the warehouse off?

Orders you did not accept in time or did not ship will be cancelled through your fault. The "Bad" threshold is 3% cancellations; with 360 orders in 30 days that is 11 cancellations.

Will my products and reviews disappear if I disable the warehouse?

The Kaspi Guide says nothing about deletion when a warehouse is switched off. For a product to disappear completely, you must first take it off sale and then separately press «Удалить» ("Delete") in the "Off sale" tab, so it does not happen by accident.

How do I take only some products off sale?

You do not need the warehouse for that. In the app, tap the three dots next to a product and «Снять с продажи»; in the web cabinet, tick a dozen items at once. Buyers will stop seeing them in about 15 minutes.

How do I fully disconnect from the Kaspi.kz Store?

There is no separate "leave only the Store" button; there is «Завершить сотрудничество» in Kaspi Pay (Services → Settings). Payment acceptance closes together with the Store, so for a couple of months it is better to simply switch the warehouse off.

Will I lose my place in the product card after a pause?

Nobody can say for sure: Kaspi does not provide such data. But during a week of vacation competitors manage to move their prices, and if you switch the warehouse on with the old price, you may end up fifth where you used to be first. Prices first, then the warehouse.
