For a seller, Kaspi Red+ means accepting installment payments through Kaspi Pay: the buyer pays Kaspi in parts, and you get the full amount at once minus the commission. The commission depends on your business category and ranges from 4.6% to 11.3% without VAT, while a Kaspi Gold payment through Kaspi POS costs 0.95%. The head of the company connects Red+ in the Kaspi Pay app, but only after 20 days of sales with Kaspi Pay over the last two months. Orders in the Kaspi.kz Store follow different rules; more on that below.
In short
- Red+ is primarily about offline and Kaspi Pay sales: a point of sale with a QR code, an invoice to a customer. For orders in the Kaspi.kz Store you pay the Store commission for the product category, and Red+ reduced rates do not carry over there.
- The Red+ rate is several times higher than Kaspi Gold's. For "Electronics" it is 7.3% with VAT versus 0.95%: a 150,000 ₸ sale costs 9,525 ₸ more.
- Red+ pays off if enough purchases happen only thanks to installments. With a 25% margin in "Electronics", such purchases must make up at least 26.4% of all Red+ payments; in the "Other" category, about half.
- You cannot refuse a Red+ payment, even during your own promotions. Cashing out is a violation that can end in termination of the partnership.
- If a buyer stops paying on Red+, it does not concern you: Kaspi Pay has already transferred the money to you.
What Kaspi Red+ is for a partner
How it works
Kaspi describes Red+ as selling your goods and services in installments (q318, updated Mar 13, 2025). The buyer applies for Red+ in the Kaspi.kz app, and the decision comes within a minute. Then they scan your QR code and choose «Kaspi Red+» as the payment method; one purchase can include several items (q3765).
The money arrives in your Kaspi Pay account online after each payment, already net of commission, and you can use it right away (q378). If the buyer later stops paying their Red+ bills, it has no effect on your company: Kaspi Pay reimbursed the amount immediately (q368). Kaspi Pay cannot send Red+ money straight to another bank, but you can transfer it manually: Transfers → To counterparty (q1400).
Red+ and the Kaspi.kz Store
This is where sellers often get confused. A buyer in the Kaspi.kz Store can also pay with Kaspi Red, on credit or in installments (q1341). But for you it is an ordinary Store order: you pay the commission for the product category, as for any other payment. Kaspi states separately that reduced Red+ commissions do not apply to Kaspi.kz Store sellers, whose terms remain the same (q4919, updated May 4, 2026). So everything below applies to a seller with an offline point of sale, a showroom or Instagram sales through Kaspi Pay. There are quite a few such sellers among those who trade on Kaspi.
Red+ commission by category
Main table
The cost of accepting a Red+ payment is based on your business category and is charged only on a sale. You can see your rate in Kaspi Pay → «Категория и Условия» ("Category and Terms") (q1930, updated May 4, 2026). The rates fall into four tiers:

VAT: one nuance
The commissions are the same for all partners, and a non-VAT payer does not pay less: VAT is added on top at the current rate and goes to the budget. A VAT payer, in addition, pays VAT on their own sales, not on Kaspi Pay's commission (q4523, updated Feb 2, 2026). The rate without VAT does not change in either case (q4474). The takeaway for calculations is simple: if you are on the simplified regime without VAT, use the "with VAT" column; that is your actual cost.
Reduced rates since May 4, 2026
For partners who connected Red+ on or after May 4, 2026, the commission on purchases up to 10,000 ₸ has been reduced in four categories where such purchases are most common (q4924):

Three caveats come with this (q4922, q4921, updated May 4, 2026). The new terms are being rolled out gradually, and at the end of 2026 Kaspi will decide what happens with all partners in these categories. You cannot disconnect and reconnect to get the reduced rate: the commission will stay the same. You can change your category to get the reduced rate only if you were never connected to Red+ before.
Comparison with Kaspi POS
For scale: through Kaspi POS, a payment with Kaspi Gold or from the Kaspi Pay account costs 0.95%, another bank's card or the unified QR costs 1.30–1.35% depending on the category, and Red+ and Kaspi Kredit payments go at your business category rate (q3567, updated Oct 1, 2026). Connecting and disconnecting
The 20-day condition
Only the head of the company can connect Red+, online in the Kaspi Pay app, and it takes no more than a minute (q1936). You need a Kaspi Pay account (q332). The main condition: sell with Kaspi Pay on at least 20 days during the last two months. Until you have enough days, a counter is shown on the app's home screen (q3763, updated Apr 14, 2025).
If you were refused, there are two reasons: you have not reached 20 days, or there were violations of Kaspi Pay or Store agreements and rules. Kaspi can also refuse under its internal rules and legal requirements (q3130, updated Dec 19, 2025). You can reapply a month after a refusal (q3132).
What is switched on at once
Red+ is connected for all your points of sale at once; you cannot pick just one (q342). All cashiers can accept Red+ and Kredit payments as soon as you have connected them (q1704). There is no minimum number of sales per month (q329).
Disconnecting
The head of the company disconnects Red+ in the app: Settings → «Отключить Kaspi Red+» ("Disconnect Kaspi Red+") (or «Отключить Kaspi Kredit»). Kaspi Gold acceptance remains. You can reconnect the next day (q1705, q3762). But remember the caveat above: reconnecting will not give you the reduced rate.
Rules you must not break
Refusing a payment
You must always accept a Red+ or Kredit payment, regardless of the product, discount or promotion. Refusal violates the rules for working with Kaspi Pay, and restrictive measures apply, up to full termination of the partnership (q327, updated Dec 19, 2025).
This hits the familiar "discount only for Kaspi Gold" scheme head-on. If your point of sale has a price tag saying "−10% when paying with Gold" and a buyer wants Red+, you cannot refuse them. The Kaspi.kz Store has a similar ban on different prices by payment method.
Cashing out
You may not hand out cash instead of goods or services. It is a violation, and the measures are the same, up to termination of the partnership (q4734, updated Feb 17, 2026). For a seller who has both Kaspi Pay at a point of sale and the Kaspi.kz Store, this is a risk to both channels at once.
The buyer's limit
If the price is above the buyer's Red+ limit, they can raise the limit in the Kaspi.kz app. If the price is above the maximum limit, the receipt is split: part with Red+, part in cash or by card. Another option is a Purchase Loan online (q349).
Remote payment
Partners who connected Red+ after July 1, 2025 can accept only Kaspi Gold via a payment link. To accept Red+ remotely, you need to issue the customer an invoice (q4060, updated Jul 2, 2025). For Instagram sales this is an important detail: a link sent in direct messages will not show Red+.
When Red+ pays off: a calculation
One sale
Hypothetical example, not a client case. An electronics store, a 150,000 ₸ sale. With Kaspi Gold through Kaspi POS, acceptance costs 0.95%, that is 1,425 ₸. With Red+ in the "Electronics" category it is 7.3% with VAT, that is 10,950 ₸. The difference is 9,525 ₸ per purchase.
The threshold formula
Red+ makes sense only if some buyers would not have bought without installments. Each such "new" purchase brings you your margin minus the Red+ rate. Each purchase that would have happened anyway simply becomes more expensive by the difference in rates. Hence the threshold:
Minimum share of new purchases = (Red+ rate − Gold rate) ÷ (margin − Gold rate)
Margin here is the markup's share of the price before the payment acceptance fee.

It reads like this: in electronics with a 25% margin, at least one in four Red+ payments must be a purchase that would not have happened without installments. In the "Other" category with the same margin, you already need half. Kaspi does not publish what share of Red+ purchases is new, so you will have to check on your own data: compare revenue for two or three months before and after connecting, all else being equal.
Where else the money is
There are things the formula does not capture. Kaspi writes that the average receipt with Red+ is twice as large as when buyers pay with their own money (q3764, updated Sep 2, 2025). That is Kaspi's data, not yours; check it at your own point of sale. If a Red+ buyer also takes a case and a charger with the phone, the margin on the add-on sale can cover part of the commission.
Returns add no costs: when a purchase paid with Red+ is returned, the payment acceptance fee is refunded in full (q384).
How to sell with Red+
Kaspi gives four recommendations: offer Red+ to buyers, place signs in a visible spot, accept payment remotely on delivery, and talk about Red+ on social media using ready-made layouts (q3764).
Promo materials are free. You order them in Kaspi Pay: «Точки продаж и кассиры» ("Points of sale and cashiers") → point → «Заказать промоматериалы» ("Order promo materials"); delivery takes up to three days by default, and you can pick a date in the calendar (q3796). The set includes Kaspi QR, Kaspi Red+ and Kaspi Kredit stickers measuring 44 by 80 mm (three of them) and 77 by 140 mm (one), plus a 150 by 297 mm Kaspi QR sticker (q3794, updated Feb 25, 2026). For a new point of sale, you first add it in the app and then order the set (q3801).
When it works: expensive goods where the buyer counts the monthly payment rather than the price, and the margin is above the threshold in the table. When it doesn't: cheap goods and a thin margin in a category with an 11.3% rate without VAT. There, Red+ easily turns every second sale into work for the sake of the commission.
Common mistakes with Kaspi Red+
- Comparing Red+ with zero instead of Kaspi Gold. The real cost of Red+ is the difference in rates. In "Electronics" that is 6.35 percentage points, or 9,525 ₸ on a 150,000 ₸ purchase.
- Expecting reduced rates in the Kaspi.kz Store. Kaspi states plainly that the terms for Store sellers remain the same. Store orders go at the product category commission.
- Reconnecting to get the new rate. You can disconnect and reconnect Red+ the next day, but the commission will stay the old one.
- Refusing Red+ during your own promotion. This violates Kaspi Pay rules and risks termination of the partnership; it is not a seller's right.
- Sending a payment link for Red+. If you connected after July 1, 2025, only Kaspi Gold will go through via a link. For Red+ you need an invoice.
- Calculating at the rate without VAT when you are not a VAT payer. A non-VAT payer pays the same commission plus VAT on top. Use the "with VAT" column in your calculation.
- Connecting Red+ with a thin margin in an expensive category. With a 13.0% rate and a 25% margin, half of Red+ purchases need to be new. Otherwise you are working for the commission.
Checklist: should you connect Kaspi Red+
- Your business category and Red+ rate are checked in Kaspi Pay → Category and Terms.
- The margin on the point's main products is calculated.
- The threshold share of new purchases is calculated with the formula.
- You have 20 days of sales with Kaspi Pay over the last two months.
- Cashiers know they cannot refuse Red+, even during a promotion.
- For remote sales, it is clear how to issue an invoice when a link does not accept Red+.
- Free promo materials are ordered for each point of sale.
- After two or three months, revenue is compared with the period before connecting.
Item eight is the only way to find out whether Red+ pays off for you specifically. The threshold table shows how much you need; how much you actually got is visible only in your own numbers.
How to automate pricing in the Store while you crunch the Red+ numbers
Red+ concerns sales through Kaspi Pay, while in the Kaspi.kz Store orders are decided by the price in the product card.
